Recent Review: I also have my pool maintained by them as well. They are just wonderful. They are very timely and they do a great job. I do appreciate them very much. They got my pool very clean and I have no complaints at all. I think their charge is pretty fair too. I pay them each time they do it.
Recent Review: Jason and his crew were great. My Mom's pool was closed the fall before by someone elso who did a poor job. The cover fell in and by the next summer there were so many leaves and frog in the pool that the water had turned green. After I called Crystal Blue Aquatics, Jason (the owner) came right over and assessed the situation. He recommended draining the pool, cleaning it with a weal acid wash, and having clean water trucked in since the house uses well water. The work was done very well and efficently. I also signed up for a weekly pool cleaning/maintenace with them. His crew did an excellent job - very reliable and thorough. It was nice to not have to worry about anything. I ordered a nwe pool cover (Loop Loc custom cover) through them. They measured the pool for the cover, closed the pool, installed the cover and cover pump. Jason was always willing to answer my questions and he made many good recommendations. He is very experienced, professional, and just a very nice person. I will certainly use them next summer.
Terrific job! The crews on site were all extremely helpful and super hard working. I was assigned a project manager who was with me from the beginning talking to me about the plan and timeline always answering calls and still helped answer questions for me after the job was all done. My new pool deck looks amazing and the pool is like a brand new pool.

AMitch's Pool Service
Mitch quickly figured out the problem and same back as promised with the part needed to fix the swimming pool heater (gas heater from Rheem/Raypak). He found a leak I had not noticed and fixed that and then offered up very good and useful advice on a variety of pool maintenance items. He really, really knows all about pools and is generous in sharing his knowledge. My five year old pool is in better shape then ever now that he's showed me some pointers I didn't get (or may not have remembered) from the original builder. Cost reported includes the cost of the parts needed for the repairs. The charge for his time was about $300 total for the two visits.

ASUPREME POOL SERVICE
They worked quickly and got our pool all wrapped up for the winter. The owner let us know about a valve from the pool drain that definitely needed to be replaced before freezing weather (our pool is 20+ years old). We were very appreciative of this preventive maintenance -- it cost an additional $120 for that. Sure beats a burst valve this winter! We plan to use this company next year. Will try them if our hot tub needs maintenance. The owner is very responsive and easy to talk to.

AAquacrafters Swimming Pool and Spa Service
Aquacrafters is a family owned business that knows the value of doing the job well and customer service. We have a salt water pool that the owner, Paul, came out to close up. What we needed didn't require a large crew so it was just the owner and his son. They took the time to explain in detail what they would doing, made some recommendations for next year and then proceeded to get to work. We don't use a weekly or monthly team, but rather have taken care of the pool ourselves. This particular year we ran into a lot of problems with algae and Paul gave us some advice on how to nip that in the bud for next year. They ensure our looplock cover was secured, the lines were cleared and cleaned up after themselves. It was apparent they take pride in doing a good job and providing value. We have already made the decision to engage them for bi-weekly pool maintenance this summer and we will be using them again to open and close our pool next year. I highly recommend them for anyone looking for knowledge and customer oriented pool service.

CSunrise Pools & Spas
We saw an ad in the coupon flyer we receive every week or so for a special deal on in-ground pools ($29,900 or so, I think). We received a quote from Peter, the owner, as well as from at least one other company, which was for a fiberglass pool. (You'd think people would get more than two quotes on such a major purchase but we didn't!) We decided to go with Sunrise based on the price, the free form design and the supposed benefits of gunite over fiberglass. When construction began, we realized that Peter has zero staff - he does the pool design and then contracts out each piece of the work. After seeing the initial design, we told Peter that we wanted to move the more substantial portion of the deck to the other side of the yard where there was a bit more room. He said that he would redraw the plans, but didn't. We went on vacation and told him to be sure to have the construction workers get in touch with us so that we could be home when they were doing the work to make sure it was being done correctly. Well, the morning after we got back, my husband returned from walking the dog to find construction workers at the house getting ready to frame the section where they would pour the concrete deck material. They were working off of the original (incorrect!) plans!! My husband said "We told Peter that you need to call us before starting work!" and they said "Yeah, he said to call you...but he didn't give us your phone number." AWESOME. And this is a perfect time to mention that Peter was notoriously hard to get ahold of. I would leave a message and not have my call returned for days. I found that extremely frustrating and really unprofessional. After the pool construction was finished, the concrete deck cracked in a few places. Peter's response was that "it happens". Great. Shortly after the pool was filled, the white plaster finish began to turn gray and have a "crackled" look to it - apparently called "mottling". It's still smooth but it looks gray with thin white lines running through it all over in a random pattern. This is something that does just happen to plaster, but Peter never mentioned the possibility of it. We can try to remedy it by draining the pool and using an acid wash on it. Fun times. Nothing bad happened to the pool in the DC earthquake this past August. So basically, we have a functional pool that has some aesthetic issues. The price was pretty good...but working with Sunrise was really stressful. -Written by Nicole Feuerstein
