Our experience with Unicorp was superb throughout! We originally were considering only having replacement windows done, but decided to replace our siding and gutters as well (we have written a separate review for the siding as well). . The president of Unicorp, Brian Weil, had come to our home to talk about their products and services. We were very impressed by how knowledgable he was, as well as the lack of a "hard sell." The great reviews on Angie's list also helped us make our decision. We did get another estimate, which was slightly lower, but we felt we'd get more personal attention from Unicorp-and we were right. Brian arranged for Mr. Materka, their long-time employee and master window installer to do the work if we were willing to wait a bit until he was available--I can tell you it was worth the wait. After we'd signed our contract, but before the work was done, Mr. Materka found that the windows in our sunroom (11 double hung and picture windows had been badly framed, with different sizes inside and out that would make it difficult to install replacement windows. Mr. Materka made and installed all new frames, then remeasured with the new frames, went to the factory to have the windows made, and was able to install them with no loss in time for completing the job. Not only that, Unicorp did not charge us extra for the considerable additional work, which was beautifully done. Amazing! Everyone from Megan (the scheduler) through the work crew were great. Communication was excellent, and the job started just when scheduled. We were so pleased that they finished a very large job (31 windows as well as the siding) in just over a week--even working over the weekend to get things done. The workmen were professional and cleaned up after themselves very well. When the job was finished, they went around with my husband, who saw a few small areas that were not quite to our satisfaction. They came back the next week to fix those areas, and Megan followed up to let us know when they would be out and again to be sure that we were satisfied with the final result. We were more than satisfied. Our Realtor neighbor was disappointed that we were getting vinyl replacement windows, as he felt they would look "cheap" in a high-end home. When were were finished with the job, he admitted the house looked great. I wish more home improvement companies were like Unicorp.
