Recent Review: I did comparison shopping at three other local firms selling wood/pellet stoves. Visited the shop and found that Glover offered a broad selection, had numerous floor models (larger than the local competition) and offered the best price on the hardware, pellet fuel and labor. Salesman was extremely knowledgeable and was willing to bargain. Saleman visited my home to personally assess my needs, fireplace compatibility and to finalize the estimate. Ascertained that the firm has substantial business in Prince William County and can be relied on for service and repair. Professional crew installed both pellet stove inserts and thermostats, tested the inserts and cleaned up before departing.

I wanted to have the stove repaired at my rental. It was not functional and had to be unplugged because the electric burner would not shut off. It was a danger to my tenants. I called Mr. Johnson who tried to diagnose the problem over the phone. He told me that in all likelihood the repair bill might not be worth it considering parts labor and the age of the unit. He went out to the house the next day and called with in the repair cost, which was reasonable but advised that I should just probably get a new stove which was only 50 dollars more. He made a few minor repairs to the stove, turned off the dangerous burner and made it functional until I could get a new unit. He seems like a decent, honest fellow and I would be glad to use him again.

Mr. Williams...was prompt....courteous....and professional.............He removed my old microwave and replaced it with a new one....There was a minor defect in the new microwave which inhibited an easy install to the cabinetry.....Mr. Williams was patient and found a way to make it fit properly and securely according to the install instructions. He was attentive to details and cleaned up as he went along. I was very pleased and would recommend him to anyone that needs things done around the house when you don't want to do it yourself.

My original appointment was set for a Wednesday, 8-12pm. I got an email confirmation for that day and time. Then, a couple hours later, I got another email- but rescheduling my appointment to another day/time when I wasn't available, without ever consulting me first. I wasn't happy about this because I had to reschedule and the only day I'm available (other than the original appointment time), was my only free day- Saturday. My appointment time was 8-12. I got up early (on my one day to sleep in) and waited. I cancelled/rescheduled plans to make this appointment time/day work. By 12:45, having not heard anything from my contractor, I called Sears to ask what was going on. I was put on hold so that they could contact my tech... I was told that my tech would be there in another 30 minutes to an hour. 1 1/2 hours later, I called again. I was again put on hold and told they were calling my tech. When they came back on the line I was told he "was almost there." So... I waited. I was watching my Saturday drain away. I called again at 2:51pm. LIVID at this point because I'd clearly been lied to several times by this point. At this time, I was told that dispatch was going to be calling me directly because they weren't sure what was going on because "my tech" hadn't been to any appointment on time (at all?) that day and so they were going to call him and then call me back in 15-30 minutes. They NEVER called me. I finally called them back and told them this was the worst experience I've ever had with ANY service company in my life and that they were fired. I filed a complaint with a supposed supervisor who promised he'd be writing up everyone I'd spoken to that day but I told him I didn't care what he did... it wasn't going to make my experience any better and I'd NEVER recommend their company to anyone. In an 8 hour span, I missed all of my plans for the day, had multiple people from the company lie straight to me about "my tech," was late to evening plans I was volunteering at and still have a broken stove!!

Gerry was very prompt. He was able to come the afternoon of the day I called. He had the piece to fix my washer and did it quickly. He inspected my fridge seals, told me they were okay and not really worth replacing even if they were bad due to the age of the fridge. He chose not to charge me the $20 for the fridge inspection. He evaluated the stove top coils and dishwasher latch and called me back later that day or the next with quotes to fix them. I chose not to have him fix them because my husband could do the stove top and the dishwasher was old enough we decided to simply replace it instead. I have his magnet on my fridge and will keep him in mind for future repairs.

We were and have always been pleased with the techs sent by All American. They are polite and professional AND get right to work. We like the way they explain what caused the problem and also show us the bad parts. Even the cat liked the Tech! Everything worked perfectly after the service call was complete and the tech cleaned up after he was finished. I called to see if they could come look at our stove. They weren't available until a couple days later, but he asked about the problem and gave me a self-help suggestion, which in fact worked out so we didn't need to repair it after all. HOW rarely do you find someone with that kind of ethics in business anymore--to ask about the problem and suggest what you can try yourself to save a repair job??? Impressed me so much that I had to post a review for this non-incident (we have also used them for previous repair, which was also a positive experience).
