Recent Review: Julio and his crew did a fantastic job. The irrigation install was smooth, fast, economical, and exactly what we were looking for to water our lawn and landscaping. Julio's communications were immediate from estimate request to completion of our project. In addition, they took the time to give us a complete overview of the system, training on how to operate the system controller, and modify the watering programs. I recommend Julio's irrigation and will definitely use them again.
Recent Review: Bob gave me my estimate we had to change scheduled several time due to all the rain we got at that time. He didn't want to leave ruts in the yard from the heavy equipment. My neighbors were very impressed with the timeliness. They were able to complete install in one day. It looked as if they had never been in my yard. I water as they suggested and all the high spots settled down. If a rotor needed moved or it sank lower that I liked they came back and placed them like I wanted.
Recent Review: Chris with A1 was always professional, on-time and extremely knowledgeable. The full installation was completed in a day with the system tested and running. yard looks great, system works well and glad we finally had one installed.
Recent Review: I searched couple irrigation companies and got quotes. I got fastest response from "The Irrigation Professionals" and reasonable price. Service was fast. They came on the next day and finished the job. I'd work them again. I'm very happy with the service. Thanks.
Recent Review: It was fantastic. The drainage and irrigation systems are functioning very nicely; though we don't need any irrigation until the Spring. But, our outdoor lighting system is outstanding and Tim and his crew did a really great job. We would not hesitate to recommend Tim and Maple Irrigation to anyone looking for French Drains, Irrigation, and/or Outdoor lighting. He does things the old-fashioned way--he uses quality products and has an eye for detail and passion for what he does. It is a winning combination.
Recent Review: Creative Irrigation was awesome! They were the only one of four irrigation companies to actually provide me with an engineered drawing of their proposed system- as part of their quote! Responsiveness was excellent- all calls were answered, as were all questions regardless of how minor. Much to my surprise, this level of responsiveness was not provided from the competitors I dealt with. I needed a quick turn on the install due to my travel schedule, and not only did they accommodate and work around my hours, they checked on my new system to make sure it was running properly while I was out of town. Mike and Brian were both courteous and professional throughout the process, as was their team while working on site. They did a fantastic job of protecting and repairing my turf during the installation, and I'm happy to see that my yard is not all cut up and scarred. After receiving four quotes, and working closely with the final two options, I can honestly say that I felt that Creative was more interested in providing me a specific system to meet the needs of my specific lawn, while the other finalist was merely pushing a cookie cutter approach in an attempt to make a quick sale. In the end, I'm thrilled with all aspects of working with these guys and highly recommend them to anyone looking for an irrigation system. Bottom-line, they're responsive, professional, and will invest the time to design a system that will meet your specific need.
They did a number of handyman things like hang blinds, install new bathroom sink top, medicine cabinet, and caulk, and a new kitchen floor. They did a good job at the actual work, but it seemed very expensive to me for what I got. They also cleaned up fairly well, but did leave a couple of foot prints on the window sills where they had hung the blinds (not sure why they didn't use ladders). There was also significant confusion about setting up the timing of the work (but once that was done, they were prompt), as well as considerable confusion over the final bill and what was owed. The work was good, but the logistics were confusing and problematic.

I was very disappointed. This provider did not complete all agreed upon tasks, and one worker did not clean up after himself. As an example, he drilled holes in a wall to mount a rack and did not clean up drywall shavings the grout work that he did was very sloppy, and he left screws in the place where he dropped them. Fan installation took over 3 hours, and I was charged an extra 3 hours at $70 an hour.

Dear Angie's List In August, I purchased the 6 hours handyman work from Mister Constructor. Mr. Paredes met with me shortly after my purchase to discuss the work, but he has been unresponsive to my efforts to contact him ever since. Copied is my last e-mail, which again received no response. I would like to request a refund. At this point, even if he were to call me immediately, I have lost confidence and trust that I will be able to count on future scheduled work days being fulfilled. Please refund the purchase price of $250 since no work has been done or even scheduled. Thank you.

Overall I was very impressed with Mister Constructor. They came out prior to assess what I needed done. They estimated the time it would take to get the work done. Once the work was estimated an appointment was quickly made. On the day of the appointment the handyman arrived right on time and worked straight through for 6 hours on the tasks assigned. Overall GREAT JOB. I would use Mister Constructor again.

He keeps his word and his promises. He even worked all weekend just to get it done on time. Nobody else would touch the project because it was physically impossible to get it done during the weekdays. The price was above average but it was worth spending the money because the quality was good. He was always there if there was a concern. He came to the construction site daily to check on the work. I would definitely use him again.

Prompt response to inquiry, but was unable to provide estimate based on description of projects we needed to complete, and required a site visit to talk it through (we did not propose long or complicated jobs). Employee came out on time, but we were unable to get all the way into the site at the time because, two other contractors (found on Angie's List) were there earlier doing different jobs. Through discussion it didn't seem that the specific requirements were being focused on and more things were being proposed beyond scope. He asked to come by again when the others left. unfortunately the window of opportunity to do the work will have closed before he can come out again and then schedule the work.

I had Nugent Plumbing replace a leaking exterior faucet. The plumber said that I had to have a backflow preventor installed as it was "code" due to the faucet's being connected to an existing in ground sprinkler system. The plumber said he was unable to hook up the new faucet to the irrigation system. When the irrigation company hooked up the irrigation system, the water flow was too low to support the irrigation system. The back flow preventor was replaced and when the irrigation company reconnected the irrigation system, the faucet still leaked. The plumber returned a third time and told me 1. I needed to have a different back flow preventor installed as the first two he installed were for garden faucets and I needed a "irrigation preventor" which would cost an additional $1500. The difference in the two types of preventors was never explained to me during the first two installations. Also, the plumber's refusal to connect the new faucet to the irrigation system to check for leaks, because he said he was unauthorized to do this, prevented the system to be checked for leaks. This has been an exceedingly frustrating experience with the end result that my new faucet still leaks and I am unable to use the irrigation system. I do not recommend using this plumbing company. I feel the plumbing company could have been more inventive in helping to solve the leaking problem.

AHydro-Tech Irrigation Co
Overall, our experience with Hydro-Tech was excellent. Andy Briddell, our point of contact, was very professional as well as very patient in explaining all aspects of the proposed system. He was very responsive to email when we had questions on the installation schedule, even though he was quite busy with many other customers. Andy was very knowledgable on all facets of the irrigation system and seemed to really care that things were done right. You could tell that he really enjoyed his work. The installation crew arrived right on time and were exceptional in their coordinated operation. They performed the excavations to obtain access to the main water line in record time, leaving the affected areas almost as if they were untouched. They had no trouble running the irrigation pipes under our decking and around our existing landscaping, again with no visible impact. The crew worked tirelessly and completed the entire installation in one day. We evaluated other bids, but Hydro-Tech was not only the most comprehensive, but also the least expensive! I would highly recommend Hydro-Tech to anyone seriously considering a compllete irrigation system. And try and get Andy...he was great!

I purchased a Big Deal for 5 hours of handyman service. The vendor contacted me and asked to visit my location and discuss/plan the work. They proposed a time and I agreed to the time and date that they proposed. Then they confirmed that appointment. On the day of the appointment I waited, but nobody called, nobody showed up. I phoned the firm during the appointment time and left voice mail. They didn't contact me before, during or after the appointment time to let me know why they didn't show up. All of this is documented in the messages that were sent between the vendor and myself via the Angie's List site. A couple of days later they did try to contact me and set another meeting up. I'm not interested. I want a refund since they never did any work and never visited the property. I don't want to set a time for getting the work done and risk that they might stand me up again.

It didn’t go well. Actually we had him come back and re do the work and it was so bad that my son took fixtures. They tried to overcharge the amount that we had to cancel a check. We have a condominium with our son and he is living out and so we are getting it ready. We had an estimate and they said it would be more than six hours which was fine. They said they will send two people there so that it won’t be over six hours. He wasn’t available to be there but one of his friends was. When they left after six hours they charged another $200 and she said no and got it down to $100 to $150 and she wrote a check out of her account and I told I’ll stop paying on that, because she said I was not going to like the way it looked. We stopped payment on that and sent him some pictures and it took a couple of days before my son heard from them. Whoever came could barely speak English and there was a huge communication difficulty. They said they will start at 8 o’clock, and everything got here but she really didn’t start working and her friend stood and helped with materials instead of working that’s why they cancelled the check. They put one inch of cock around the tub. They installed the dishwasher and left the batting insulation hanging out. They really did very bad job. My son was not happy. They did call back and sent someone and they did the cleanup which they had left as a mess. They left the tub filled with caulk and didn’t throw the extra caulk which they pulled out and squirt it all over and didn’t put in the trash can. If I sent you pictures you will be hysterical. There was a fence post and they were supposed to take off few inches and there was a trim that went around it. They said we will take that off and rebuild the trim. You can imagine a post with trim around it and my son bought post cap to go on it and instead of putting a trim with lighted corners they chopped four pieces of 2x4 and stuck it around there and the corners didn’t light. The guy went up to corner 7/11 and picked up some people who said they could cock and they nodded their head and he brought him with and that’s the quality of work he got. I would not recommend him, not when they don’t get quality workers to do the work. One of them put in the sink and faucet and did a good job on that and that was the only good thing. They shouldn’t have taken six hours to put in a sink and cock around two bath tubs.
