Over the past 45+ years, the product line has expanded to include brick, natural stone, manufactured stone, handscaping products, and so much more. Originally named Frederick Block Co., the change to Frederick Block, Brick & Stone (FBBS) was made in 2002 to better capture the wide variety of products sold. Recent Review: Very well, considering the surprise of 2 and 1/2 feet of rock that was on one side of the pool. In addition to the gravel that was around the pool, we also found a truck load of stone buried in the ground. The stone was left buried when our house was built in the 1960s. Since took out a truck load of gravel and stone, an additional 3 cu feet of fill dirt had to be ordered and brought in. The truck with dirt would not fit in the fence, so it was brought in by a small bull dozer. It took 1 extra work day and additional people to complete the unexpected work.

So.... a neighbor of mine hired this insane guy "Tony" off of Craigslist to clear a half acre adjacent to my property.  The owner, a very nice guy who had no idea of how "Tony" is and lives 2 hours from this property, was shocked to find out what "Tony" did that day.  Tony attacked 1 of the 2 gravel truck drivers and was cursing the other to extreme.  The driver he attacked I've known for years and is a very nice 65 yo man that weighs about 135 lbs.  The old man had to beat Tony off of him with a metal rod.  Both drivers refused to deliver any more gravel.  Tony called the owner and told him that he had done all the work when less than half was actually done and then left.  I entered the picture not yet knowing of what this maniac was doing and asked him to move a foot of the giant gravel pile he had placed in the road so I could leave to take my mom to the Dr.  Tony replied to my request with ** you SOB you don't F'ing need to go anywhere you GD SOB!  Being shocked by this, I stepped back for a moment and pondered beating the **** out of him but luckily I held my anger and told him sternly to move it the gravel now.  (I'm a bit of an intimidating person physically) So he did move the gravel but I shutter to think what would have happened to someone else as I and his helper had to jump out of the way of the Bobcat as he came at us at a high rate of speed to remove the gravel.  As my wife and I were leaving he was giving my wife the finger and screaming obscenities from his Bobcat.  I later found out that he ran over another neighbors fence and cursed him and refused to fix it.  This guy is absolutely NUTS!!!!!!  Good luck to anyone using this guy to do anything.  He is a ticking time bomb........

The design process with Timothy was very pleasant and professional.  He provided choices for plantings and helped me select the most appropriate.  There was a long wait for implementation, which was not unexpected.  An implementation date was finally given but nobody showed up, and nobody responded to my phone calls.  Eventually Timothy emailed me and apologized for the problems.  Work finally began several days later.  The crew, headed by Brandon, did an excellent job.  However, they were often delayed waiting for material or equipment to be delivered.

Gary Bayse is the best!  He showed up at 8:00am on the scheduled day and had all work completed before I got home at 5:00pm. The gravel driveway looks brand new.  The weeping cherry tree was planted in exactly the right spot and surrounded with brown mulch.  The old hot tub cover was gone.  Everything was cleaned up so well you could not tell a contractor had been at my house that day.  His prices are extremely reasonable.

Mr. Basye is a superb contractor.  He was punctual, professional, hard-working, polite and very reasonably priced.  I definitely recommend him to anyone needing stones spread along their driveway or fallen trees removed from their property.

Few things irk me more than people who take their work trucks flying down the interstate with rocks, gravel, sand, and chunks of mud flying off their vehicle to hit drivers behind them. It takes very little time to properly secure your load. It takes a LOT longer to get my windshield replaced or get my hood chips repainted and the dents removed. I find it extremely unprofessional to use a FLAT BED TRAILER to haul your rocks and sand. Your load should be PROTECTED. Why don't you care about those people whose cars your damaging behind you??

Chris, was very responsive in providing an estimate to lay the pavers in the area I had already prepared. He recommended thinning the sand and adding more gravel which I decided to have Chris and his crew do. Chris was very good about keeping us informed of the planned start date. Chris and his crew arrived as scheduled and knocked it out in one day. We were very happy with the end product. I also need to note that of the three estimates we asked for the one from Liberty was the only "reasonable" one, the other two estimates came in at 3 times the price of Liberty's. I don't know about you but I find it insulting to get ridiculous estimates (if you don't want the work then say so!). We would definitely recommend and use Liberty again.

AJ came out and checked out the two tasks, and responded promptly with a reasonable, professional bid. They had several projects going but scheduled us in as soon as they were able, keeping us informed and up to date as to when that would be. I greatly appreciated the fact that when they said they would be at the house they were there on time in each case, and the one time they were delayed AJ called ahead to let me know he would be 30 minutes late. As for the work - they got the oak tree down (it was a ~2 ft thick trunk about 60-70 ft high), and they prepped the area for the new shed nice and level and put down crushed run gravel evenly. All in all I was very happy with the job and I would definitely use them again.
