Recent Review: The service went perfectly, as usual! This is my second time using Philip. On the first occasion, a few years ago, he assembled a kitchen table and bench set for me. That time, he came on very short notice -- in the snow! This time, we set up a convenient time one weekday afternoon, on my day off. When we discovered that one of my blind measurements was a bit too wide to be installed inside the window, as originally planned, Philip quickly figured out a way to install the blinds as an outside mount. Whew! The remaining blind mounts went smoothly. Bottom line: each time I've called on Philip, he has been quick in his response, fair in his price quote, prompt in his arrival, and skilled in his work. He's also just a very nice guy. What more could you ask for? I'll definitely be calling on him again in the future.

Recent Review: The pre-meeting went very well.  The president of the company came out and helped us select exact blinds that fit our needs.  It took about 4 weeks for the order to be processed and the blinds to be installed.  They look great.  We chose Beltway Blinds after speaking to them at a weekend Home and Garden show.  They are a small locally owned firm.  I just did not want to deal with the big chains.  I felt we got much better service and attention by going with Beltway Blinds.  I think their prices are very competitive, if not better than the big chains.  I urge you to give them an opportunity to show what they can do for you.  I am sure that you will not be disappointed.

Recent Review: We were installing shades on the entire second floor of our new home. It went great from start to finish. Andy was professional, courteous, friendly and flexible. He provided informed opinions about our design options, but was not trying to push anything on us. Everything went very smoothly, and it was nice dealing with a small business owner rather than a huge company. Overall a great experience.

Recent Review: We engaged Value Blinds for a shade and cornice for our master bedroom. Our goal was to block out all the light being provided by the streetlight outside of our window. Angelee came out and did a fantastic job working with us and making recommendations from a designer perspective. She spent a good 2-3 hours with us to come up with a treatment for one window. The price for what we purchased was quite reasonable. When the shade and cornice were installed the shade did not block out all of the light as we had wanted it to. We were very disappointed the shade did not block all of the light as we were clear that is what we wanted. I spoke with Frank about this issue and he did something quite incredible. He offered to give us curtains to go over the shade free of charge. This meant they would have to build a larger cornice which he also offered free of charge. The value of what Frank was offering was over $2000. Angelee came out to take some new measurements and talk through the design options. The curtains and new cornice were installed and they look amazing. I was completely impressed by the company's focus on customer satisfaction. I would highly recommend them to anyone else.

They came to get the measurements, made them and installed them. The sales reps were very nice and professional. Shortly, thereafter, they called to tell me they were ready. The installer arrived on time and was professional. He quickly installed them and I'm very happy. They are a nice company to work with and have a fair price.

ABudget Blinds of Stafford VA
Roger, the owner, arrived on time, mid-June for our initial meeting. I had never had an in-home consultation for window treatments before, so wasn't sure what to expect, and wasn't even sure what I wanted. Roger gave great advice on what would work best. I had some windows that got a lot of morning sun and made the rooms really hot, so he recommended cellular shades. I never would have thought of that as I assumed they were more than I really wanted to spend. He also recommended wooden blinds for the kitchen, which I had thought of, but again, thought the price would be too high. When he wrote everything up, I expected to have to either downgrade on some products or do half now and half later. I was so happy that the total came in about right where I had set my budget. But Roger had not known what my budget was. On the day he was here for the consult, I also was having new carpet installed so there was a lot going on. In addition to that, I had lots of questions and went back and forth on different options. For the cellular shades, we looked at top-down/bottom up options, plus a really cool one that actually had sheers in them. I really liked those but opted out as I was trying to keep costs down but liked the top-down/bottom up ones for one room and regular ones for the other rooms. I was indecisive about a lot of color options and he was so patient but also offered his opinion (after asking first if I wanted it, which was great!).  On installation day, several weeks later, all went well until he was ready to leave and I went upstairs to see the cellulars and the one room did not have the top-down/bottom up ones. They were just regular shades. Since I wanted regular ones for 2 of the 3 rooms, and we had talked about the sheers but then decided against them, there was confusion about what I wanted for the 3rd room. I was ok with it, as I knew I had been back and forth on many things, plus the carpet people there. He checked his order and confirmed he had ordered the correct items. He offered to replace them at no cost except for the additional cost over what they were vs the plain blinds, which I think was $75, so would have been $150 extra for me. I told him I truly appreciate that offer but let me think about it. He had pointed out to me earlier that the valance for the kitchen blinds was not right, the measurement had been inaccurate. Honestly, I am not sure I would have noticed if he had not said anything. On the consult day, those windows were a pain, they are very narrow and I thought I wasn't going to be able to get what I really wanted, but he came up with an idea that would make them fit. So he said he would order the correct valance and call when it came in. He called last week and we scheduled an appointment for Monday, 7/30/12. The valance was replaced in no time, but then he had a box in his hands and he said he had my top-down/bottom up shades! I was floored! He said he knew I was disappointed and wanted to make it right. I had not even gotten back to him about replacing them, I was going to accept what I had. For him to do that when it really wasn't even really his fault is simply amazing. Since I wasn't expecting that, I had to take down the curtains. The cellulars are great for insulation, but they don't block all of the light, so I attemped to re-hang the blackout curtains I had before. But now my original curtain hardware didn't fit quite right and removing and replacing them is quite cumbersome. I have been meaning to buy new hardware but have been making do with a very tight fit with the curtains rubbing against the blinds and not really being able to open/close the blinds. He stayed nearly an hour fixing the holes where the hardware was to make them more secure and adding shims to make the rods project further out from the wall so the curtains would fit better. I still need to buy new hardware, but they fit better for now and that was such an unexpected thing for him to do. I don't think I have ever experienced such awesome customer service before. Even if he had not surprised me with replacing the blinds, I would have considered the overall experience to be very favorable. He was such a pleasure to work with, very punctual, professional and personable. But to go over the top, not just once, but twice, is so amazing, I just had to write about it!

We have used Montgomery Blinds for numerous years and they always provide professional service.  I heard horror stories from my neighbors about another blind company, so I opted to spend a little more money and get a quality product and service.  Well worth the extra money.

They were excellent. Selection in the store was great and salesperson was extremely helpful. They installed them within a week (not really "next day"). I scheduled the installation at the store and then they e-mailed a reminder to me, with the technician's name. They called me 30 minutes before the technician arrived. When he arrived, he introduced himself (as per the e-mail) before he entered the house. He installed the blinds, quickly and efficiently. He instructed me about their operation. About 2 months later, I accidentally closed them incorrectly and pulled some of the fabric off the roller. I called their service depart. They returned within a few days, same notification as before. The technician said the blinds had to be repaired the shop. He took them with him but put up a temporary blind until they could return (within a few days) to reinstall. THERE WAS NO CHARGE FOR REPAIR! My only negative comment: They are a bit pricey. But it's worth it for this kind of service!

I purchased the Big deal for $199 worth $400 of Kathy Ireland blinds.   Negative-   I felt like the salesman wasn't clear in describing how the deal worked and ultimately I think I paid too much for one window. I did ask them for help installing new batteries in my motorized blinds and they did that for me as well. My approximate cost includes that additional fee. Scheduling was a pain. They didn't show up during the scheduled time frame during my initial measuring and I had to call to find out what happen. If he was behind he should have called to let me know he would be late. I waited around all Saturday morning and after that the scheduling just went back and forth for a while. When the gentleman came to measure he didn't have a ladder and needed to use mine.  I still had scheduling issues once the blinds came in. I called to schedule and a gentleman told me he would return my call and never did. I eventually spoke with Stephanie again and she scheduled it for me. I had to change my original rating of C to an F. I was overbilled after the install and was told the salesman made a calculation mistake and my balance due was higher. Stephanie didn't seem to understand how that could be suspicious after the fact and claimed there was nothing that she could do. Although my contract has a specific number. A good company would honor the amount on the contract. You would think with a six week gap between when I made my order and installation someone at beltway blinds would have caught that error and informed me prior to the install. Update 9/3/13- Owner called to apologize and offered to refund the overpayment. I accepted this apology and appreciate his following up to correct the situation.   Positive- The install was on time and done well. I'm satisfied with that. Owner apologetic and discrepancy resolved.

Next Day Blinds were punctual and professional.  We are very happy with the blinds and with the installation.  Their price was on the high side initially, but they matched a competitor's bid, and dropped the price to save us a significant amount.
