Recent Review: Thursday morning, went to open garage door and found out one of the torsion springs was broken. (The door opener can't lift the door with a broken spring, and you notice how much force the spring applies when you have to open the door yourself without the spring)! Found nearby A-rated Eastern Door on Angie's List. Sent message to Eastern Door via their website to get a quote for price/timeline to repair. Got call back in less than two hours...went to my voicemail while I was in a meeting. Their message gave me a quote and a few schedule options for them to come out the next morning. Sounded good, so I left voicemail back later in the day to arrange for appointment the next morning. Eastern showed up as scheduled, replaced the springs (you really need to replace both), lubricated the door, and re-set the door travel. Billed as quoted. Punctual, courteous, efficient, and delivered as stated. Can't ask for more.
Recent Review: Affordable Doors fixed my broken garage door. They replaced the mechanism that controls the smoothness of the doors. They also put new buttons on the wall because they were cracked. He even helped me program my car to open the doors.
Recent Review: Overall great experience. They were prompt, took away the old door and opener, and installed the new door in just a few hours. The pricing was very reasonable for the upgraded door we chose and the whole process worked out great from intial contact (when our door bent and would no longer open) to install. They were able to schedule us quickly (only 5 days) as they had the door we wanted (a popular model) in stock. We shouldn't need their services in the near future but would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a garage door replacement and install.
Recent Review: Excellent service, called Sam to get an estimate to install a glass shower door ,he came over next day, extremely professional, I saw all the good reviews so I went with Sam, and he did not disappoint me. Communication was great, I had many questions, and changed a few things, he was always pleasant, answered all questions the same day. The install went great, and it looks awesome. I wish everyone gave great service like Sam. I will go with him for all my glass needs. Thank you so much for the excellent experience
Recent Review: We hired Just Doors to install a new back door leading out to our back porch. The company representatives were very professional, responsive, and courteous. The door was installed today by two people (can't remember their names) they did an excellent job. The door looks great and made of the highest quality.
The scheduling was within the 4 to 6 weeks as promised. The installers showed up on time and did a great job. A few items were missing (peep hole and kick plate). The company was very responsive and and installed them within two weeks.

AMr. Handyman of South Montgomery County
The company has a minimum charge (2 hours) and I was concerned that I might have to pay for more time than I needed, but as it turned out I had added so many things to my list that he spent 4 1/2 hours. It was worth every penny to have things done, and done right. I could have done them myself, but I never seem to get around to it and a handyman was just what I needed. I thought the price was reasonable for the great improvement that each of these small items accomplished. He was prompt, courteous and friendly, and I would hire them again.

ANova Installations Inc
It went smoothly from estimate to scheduling and installation. Art had a catalogue and selected the door that met the strict requirements of my HOA. They were able to use the same door knob and deadbolt, so I did not need to get new keys. I used NoVa Installations several years ago to replace all my windows. I really like this company because there is no sales pressure, the prices are very competitive, and they do quality work.

AJim the Handyman
It was a very positive experience. I have a very busy schedule and it was easy to accommodate that with Jim. He came by one evening to look at the laundry list of items that needed repairing. For two items that he did not handle, he recommended someone who will be fixing those items in the near future. Jim provided a written estimate and on the day of service, arrived when expected, got straight to work, was efficient, and completed all tasks in quick fashion. I was very pleased with the work, the price, and the experience. I will definitely use Jim again when other items in my home need repair.

AThompson Creek Window Company
This is the second time I have used Thompson Creek and I have been extremely pleased - from the knowledge of the sales person to the actual installation. The installers came to house and had me check the new door before the installation began. Within an hour they had taken out the old door, side paneling and frame. The new door and paneling were installed along with the storm door. The workers were very careful not to mark the walls around the door as we had just had the house painted. They showed me why I was having such bad drafts with the old door and frame. they cleaned up behind themselves and I have no complaints at all. Thompson creek came back out to adjust the storm door and install a peep hole for us. David Chambers was the service technician. He was charming and professional and did a spectacular job in adjusting the storm door and getting the peep hole in. all of the service staff at Thompson Creek has been wonderful but David is definitely the best.

AUnicorp Home Energy Services
My front door was damaged and would never completely seal even after trying all types of door insulation to prevent air leakage. Unicorp provided an accurate estimate and there were no issues from beginning to end. Even after calling to change the interior color door and install a second deadbolt, my door arrived exactly as discussed. The installers were professional, efficient, organized, and answered all of my questions regarding the new door. They even fixed my original door frame because it did not align completely straight which probably explained my drafty door problem. The door install was excellent and they took care to clean up after themselves. I would highly recommend using Unicorp.

Don showed up right on time and did exactly what he said he would at a fair price. All our new locks work perfectly. He also made sure that all the existing door components were properly adjusted at no extra charge.

AJW Home Improvement
I am very satisfied with JW Home Improvement. They were extremely prompt; they arrived at exaclty 8AM. (Actually, I was surprised when they arrived - as I didn't get a call beforehand.) After their initial arrival, they spent about an hour an a half going to Home Depot to get supplies, whiich I expected. They were very professional and efficient while working. One of the workers removed a shoe rack in my coat closet, as I'd asked. One thing I really appreciated about JW is that they were accomodating with my very last minute schedule change. I was able to get my work done one day later than we'd originally had scheduled. Than you for that, JW! I know the schedule is pretty tight for these guys. I will most definitely use them again.

Inferior work was performed and inferior products were used. The services provided did not match the estimate for projects which was a very high estimate. I now have long nails protruding into the shed so I am not sure if it will leak or not. The materials used in the gazebo were very inferior. All the decorative trim was removed but new trim was not installed. The lattice wood was extremely rough and had long hair-like strands hanging off of it. It was not secured on one side and the side that was secured was secured with the old rotten trim. It bows out in the middle. The gazebo was left with long 2 inch nails protruding from it where the lattice was attached causing a health risk. While working on the gazebo, a planter was broken and moved to the side but no clean up of dirt and pebbles was performed. Handywoman bought the same weatherstripping that I had put on the doors myself which did not work. I refused to let them put it on so they reluctantly went to the hardware store and bought something that I hope will work this winter. They had no solution to the draft that was coming from under the doors so they put door sweeps on two of the doors and then wanted to charge me extra for putting one on the office door even though I had contracted and paid for the insulation of four doors. I reluctantly agreed to this solution since the only other option was to take the doors off to put insulation under the door. After seeing the work that was performed, there was NO way I was letting them take off my doors. I now have spaces for draft to come in that I didn't have before they did their work. I have a 1877 period house which now has ugly door sweeps which are not in keeping with the period of the house. I felt that I had no choice. I now have a hard time opening/closing the front door. All of the work was inferior except for the installation of a peep hole and kickplate which are relatively simple tasks. The owner was very intimidating when I brought up items that I did not think were going well and when they had to come back to fix certain items, she tried to double bill for these items.
