Recent Review: Greg and his crew are simply the best. Greg is a consumate professional - cordial, timely and helpful. Greg and his crew finished their part of our bathroom renovationin a week. The quality is outstanding. He without delay came back to our house to make a quick adjustment in order for our shower door to be installed. We can't wait to renovate our kitchen so that we can hire Greg again.

Recent Review: From the first phone call this business provided  service that was professional, responsive and honest. I am not easy to reach by phone, but Margie persisted and went the extra mile to contact me and schedule an in-home pre-work consultation. Since their schedule was busy and I needed part of the work done sooner than they could accommodate, they gave me a referral for another company to complete one piece of my project.  They also made a recommendation for another company for grout work I needed done, because Joseph said this was not his area of expertise. I really appreciated these referrals- it saved me time and knowing Joseph had working relationships with these companies I felt confident they would do good work. At our walk-through prior to doing the work, Joseph was thorough, helpful and informative. He took lots of time to ask questions, offer suggestions and review what I wanted done. He showed up on time, confirmed our appointments and followed up as promised. The estimate arrived in the timeframe he promised, and it was a reasonable price. All of the work was completed and looked great after it was finished. Joseph contacted me to confirm that I was happy with the work and returned to make a minor adjustment after we had some time to use the shower and check the leak. This is one of the best customer service experiences I have had in a while- Joseph clearly takes pride in his work and I felt treated with consideration and respect by Joseph and Margie. I would absolutely recommend Noonan's Handyman Service and plan to work with them on future projects.

Recent Review: Patrick was supposed to re-tile 2 shower areas of 2 different bathrooms. He originally showed up on time (to give the estimate), which was supposed to be $1200 for both baths. He asked for half the money upfront (which I now know should have been a red flag.) It quickly became obvious how he works (or doesn't!): he would have excuse after excuse as to why he couldn't come on a particular day; if he did come, he never worked more than a few hours, he left a huge mess, etc. He tore out insulation and just left the huge pile in the bathroom. He had to cut a panel in the closet to get to a leaking pipe (which hadn't leaked before he began work) and he cut a huge piece out and left a hole until he finally just put a big block of the stuff he used in back of the tiles over it (not flush with the wall at all). He got grout all over the floor and tracked it on the carpet. I cleaned the carpet and asked him to clean the floor; he got some off but left most of it and said it would just "wipe right up". (News flash--dried grout doesn't "wipe right up"!) He asked for $250 for a shower door and faucets, and $100 for insulation and lumber. I foolishly paid it; he goes to my church and I thought I could trust him. The first check was written on March 14 and it STILL isn't finished! (I did fire him a couple of weeks ago after I had 2 independent licensed contractors come in and say that he didn't use the right stuff behind the tile, the caulk wasn't the kind that should have been used in the shower--it peeled right up with just one lift and there was mold behind it!) Many of the tiles on the part he did are chipped, the grout is uneven, the caulking is uneven and bulges in spots, he lost the insert to one of the faucets, he threw away my drain and replaced it with one that doesn't fit right, the door is unsteady--are you getting the picture?! The contractors said it looked like he didn't measure first and notice the wall wasn't exactly square so he got to a point and didn't know how to proceed. I started the project while kids were away at college and he was supposed to be done in 2 weeks! He promised he'd be done in time for the company we had for my daughter's graduation (9 weeks after he started) and it wasn't done. We were without a door for so long that he actually told us to just point the shower to the middle and use it! He has not brought the remaining tile for the 2nd bathroom (which I had purchased already) and his helper stole money from me (despite the fact that he shouldn't have been working for Patrick as he had stolen from other clients). I know of 4 other people who have also had issues with him. At this point, I have paid almost 80% of the cost he quoted for 2 bathrooms and don't even have 1 done! It will cost me at least $600 from someone else to fix the mess he made in the 1 bathroom he worked on.

This is a list of the problems Ted caused in my little cottage: Critical: Lacks vent for plumbing waste line, creating a dangerous situation All water pipes, faucets and fixtures, and water heater were filled with and damaged by gravel from inappropriate technique used to repair outside water break. He was explicitly told to wait until the water level dropped so my other worker could fixed it above the water line. He didn?t wait, but incorrectly fixed it himself. All plumbing needed to be replaced. Shower in bathroom 100% dysfunctional: leaked; shower liner leaked; drain leaked into basement; shower door installed improperly and leaked; pan unsupported. Unusable. Dysfunctional: Drywall in bathroom: incomplete and very poor quality workmanship Insulation not added to ceiling before Sheetrock installed Drain in vanity leaked due to missing part Toilet leaked into basement Improper electrical wiring; outside plugs not on a ground fault; bathroom, kitchen, and misc plugs on same circuit; lights and plugs were improperly wired Aesthetic: Bubbles under vinyl in bathroom floor because floor not prepped correctly?then poorly repaired with big holes visible Window in bathroom very poorly trimmed (gaps) Toilet poorly placed in bathroom A square sink was substituted for requested corner sink, claimed corner sink unavailable, but I found out it was Did not offer owner option for copper plumbing; unilaterally installed PVC Poor placement of bathroom fixtures, e.g. light was off by several inches from the medicine cabinet Poor placement of basement appliances?electrical panel too close to location for washer/dryer; not where requested by water heater Consequences: All plumbing, faucets and fixtures, and water heater had to be replaced Entire bathroom had to be deconstructed down to the studs and floor and rebuilt Electrical wiring?had to add more breakers and add ground faults Venting for plumbing had to be retrofitted on exterior since all walls now closed in. I contacted Ted when I found his email address. I proposed an amicable settlement. Instead of standing by his work and working toward a settlement, he took down his web page two days after I sent my email and ran.
