Recent Review: This fence is wonderful!  We have a new German Shepherd puppy and wanted something more secure than an electric fence, which we had with our previous Shepherd.  We priced chain link fencing, which  was over twice the cost and, in our opinion, not at all attractive.  This fence is barely visible and blends well with the landscape. Now our dog has lots of room to run and we do not have to be concerned about her getting out of the yard.  We also hope that the fence will keep the deer out, which would be a big plus.  Additionally, it gives us the option of taking in rescue dogs should we choose to do that. Victor was very responsive and the job was done promptly after we signed the contract.  He also offered the great suggestion of extending the fence into a wooded area of our property beyond our yard which gives the dog more room and puts that portion of the fence completely out of sight.  His crew moved wood and trimmed back bushes at no additional cost. I highly recommend Pet Playgroundz to anyone seeking secure a yard for a pet at a very reasonable cost.

Recent Review: We cannot recommend Mike and his team more. From the first contact, Mike was responsive, knowledgable, patient and helpful. Mike answered all the questions we had, respected our desire to look at other options and never pressured us with our decision. He worked with us to set an install date that worked for our family. They were on time for the install date and held true to the timeframe they laid out. The best part was the way that Mike performed the initial training with our dogs. It was clear that Mike's main concern was for my dogs and their comfort with the training process. He took his time with us and and explained every step for us to clearly understand. Mike stayed until after last question we had was answered. He even called us the next day and the following week to check up on how the training was going and the dogs were doing. Overall, great product, great price, great service!

Recent Review: (Updated May 2013)  I love Bakkers Acres!  They have done many, many different jobs for me (and for my neighbors, who initially recommended them) over the last 5 years.  The guys work very hard and the results are always very beautiful and professional.  And if they can't do a job, they will say so and give good recommendations as to who can do the work. My experience with Bakkers Acres started with landscaping, about 6 years ago.  The old house I had purchased had ugly, diseased plantings in front and it really needed a major overhaul.  I worked with Mr Bakker to give him a general description of what I wanted, and he came up with a very nice design which was soon implemented.  The plants/trees were healthy and beautiful.  Over the years, I had some additional areas landscaped which also turned out well.  They took down some small to midsize trees for me too, as well as doing seasonal cleanups and mulching each year.    But they can do more than landscaping.  A couple years back I needed some pet fencing installed to make a very large, wooded, safe pet enclosure, and they were willing to take on the challenge.  The fence was partly freestanding but also had to be attached to the house, the carport and a cinder block retaining wall.  They even fabricated/welded special parts to secure the fencing properly to the carport, and secured brown flashing to trees near the fence to keep some "houdini" cats from escaping..   The project turned out great.  So I had a second fenced area added last year after they made major improvements to the area's drainage, including piping that was installed under the driveway to redirect the water safely into the woods.  They repaired the driveway nicely afterwards.  One thing that really impressed me was the extra thought and care that went into the fence installation -- even though the manufacturer's fence design has the gates supported by the mesh fencing itself, they recommending design modifications for improved safety and security of my beloved pets.  I really, really appreciated that. As of 2013, Bakkers Acres also takes care of my lawn mowing/trimming, and my neighbor's too.  As always, top quality work and most important for me, I can trust that they are very careful that none of the outdoor pets escape. Working with Bakkers Acres is great.  I have peace of mind about safety of my outdoor pets, complete confidence that any job will be done right, and the icing on the cake is that the work is done at a reasonable price.

Recent Review: Quotes and installer selection After reviewing many fence installers in our area we selected three candidates and solicited quotes. Triple-K was not the lowest cost but they left us with the highest confidence they understood our requirements and could meet our needs. When the sales rep (Kory) arrived onsite he took all the time necessary to speak with us, understand our wants and needs, and answer all our questions. We received our quote on 13 Oct. We had already measured and knew the length. Kory’s estimate was within 20 feet. We committed to the installation on 17 Oct. Installation began on 28 Oct and completed on 31 Oct. Homeowner prep We purposely took personal responsibility for removing the old fence and for clearing the area where the new fence-line was going to be installed. We could have asked Triple-K to have done those tasks but decided to DIY all the prep. This was already a pretty big job just with the installation. We had concerns if we combined prep work with installation it would have extended total install time but more importantly it might have required we make concessions on the layout because of a lack of lead time to mitigate any obstacles or problems discovered. The old fence was a combination of wood estate fencing in the open areas and rolled wire on green T-posts through the woods. It overlapped the new fence-line in a few areas. The new fence-line was going to extend much farther into the woods where the ground had not been cleared. Final placement was going to be impossible without removing several trees, grinding stumps, and leveling the ground in some areas. We knew how we wanted things to look when it was completed and we anticipated having this fence for the next 10-15 years. For those reasons we felt obligated to help provide Triple-K with good prep work. We had about 10 days from commitment to installation so we used that time to optimize the area for the install. We cleared at least 4 feet on both sides of the intended fence-line. We removed brush, trees, obstacles, stumps, and the old fence. We verified and marked the locations of all property pins. Finally, we coordinated with our neighbors for driveway use and for Triple-K’s ability to get trucks and materials as close as possible to the job site. Installation On the 28th the installation team arrived on time if not a little early. Before breaking ground at all they walked the ground with us. They verified and marked the ground for exact placement. Miss Utility marking had been coordinated by Triple-K but due to a miscommunication they had not marked the ground. The team worked on rescheduling marking for later in the day. In the interim they worked in areas where it was clear no utilities or cabling were present. Miss Utility was there by mid-day. There was no loss of productivity because of the delay. The installation team was extremely well organized and professional. It was immediately clear they knew what they were doing. They had processes and efficiencies to their work that could only have been developed through extensive time and experience working together. We asked that they try to follow the contour of the ground while keeping the top edge of the fence consistent. They were able to meet both requirements. They cut or back-filled the ground where they could to ensure no large gaps at the ground. Whenever there was any question about placement or excessive variation the team consulted and coordinated with us to ensure the end product would accommodate expectations. The end product is a superior quality fence that we are proud of. The Triple-K team’s work was fast but also deliberate and accurate. Four days was a reasonable time-frame to complete this job. Things we liked The professionalism and skill of the installation team. Although an active work-site for several days, at the end of each day they left the area looking clean, safe, and organized. We installed a single electric fence wire about 6-8” above the ground to discourage our dogs from digging out of the yard. The team was very supportive of allowing us to complete that installation concurrently with their own work. That saved us a lot of time. Complaints Not a complaint per se but more of an observation. The bottom edges of the gates are not straight. There is a little bit of waviness to them. They built the gates on the hinges. Once complete they cut the bottom edges of the gate pickets with a circular saw. We are sure they would have redone them or modified the edge if we had asked. Bottom line Triple-K did an excellent job on our fence. We are very satisfied with their performance from initial contact to solicit a quote through nailing the Triple-K sign on the fence for advertising. We actually asked them to add a second sign because we are proud of their work and our new fence.

APet Smart - Fredericksburg
After shopping around and cost comparing we found PetSmart to have the most competitive price and they were the closest to our home also. The fence was everything they had promised and we have had only one problem and that is the amount of batteries we go through on the dog collar.

AHidden Fence, Inc.
It went beautifully. The company met every criterion for excellent service. They even came back to fix a broken underground wire a month after installation. I was pretty sure that I had committed the injury to the wire, but because he was not 100% sure of this, Mike refused to charge me for the fix. One other thing...these folks are very pet-friendly. My dogs became good buddies with Mike as he very patiently trained them on doggie fence etiquette. This company is a total class act.
