Recent Review: They did an excellent job. They were very honest and kept the cost down. It was for a house that I had sold and they helped me get it to closing.

Recent Review: I called several people that didn't show up or when they did they never called me back with a quote. When I called Dollman Construction they showed up the same day and he gave me a quote while he was there. The work was started on time and completed ahead of schedule. My yard was left clean everyday. The workers were very nice and I have since hired them to repair brick on the back of my house. I wish I had called these guys first. I would recommend this company to anyone that is tired of the frustrating process of hiring a contractor.

Recent Review: My experience with them was a NIGHTMARE:   I had water damage from a second floor window that leaked through the floor to the ceiling drywall above the kitchen.  There was approximately 3-4" of damaged drywall on the ceiling.   Before asking for their help, I assumed that it would take a couple of hours to make this repair.   Since I had homeowners insurance, Kidd's gave me an outrageous bill of $1300 to fix this simple job, and they refused to repair the window that caused the water damage.  Hence, I had another contractor (not Kidd's) fix the window (he charged me $50 for the whole window repair).Kidd's made at least 12 appointments to come.  Each time they showed up late, or didn't show up at all (and didn't call to cancel); causing me a lot of inconvenience.   Since their bill was extremely high, I asked them to include paint touch-up in another area of the kitchen ceiling and to do a really good clean up job, so that no mess would end up on my carpet or other places from drywall dust.   It took months before they actually came to do the repair.   It took one hour of their time, to do the repair and paint over it.  They did not do the extra paint touch-up that I asked for, nor did they clean up the site.  Dry wall dust was all over the floor and counter top when they had finished and left.   I refused to pay the $1300 charge that they estimated.  I agreed to pay $300 for one hour of sloppy work.   The manager accepted my payment for $300 and yelled at me, after I handed him the check; he yelled at me and told me never to ask for their service again.   Believe me, I have no desire to return.

Recent Review: From preparing estimates, to brainstorming ideas, to completing the work, A-Z was superb! Owner Alex Rodriguez is knowledgeable, professional and great to work with. His design suggestions made a huge difference in the outcome (very small apartment) and he handled numerous problems we ran into (we expected problems, just couldn't predict their scope until we tore into walls, floor). His estimate was on-target, he gave options on how to overcome obstacles, and was always aware of my tight budget. He was my partner during huge insurance claims (a massive hurricane did $30,000 worth of damage to the property while we were in the renovation process!). Communication was great, product is outstanding, and Alex is a man of integrity. Even though my project was rather small and completed on an old, deteriorating property, I've seen his work on large projects--renovation of newer homes, additions, decks, etc. and it is impressive. I recommend him without reservation!

ADollman Construction, Inc
In early 2014, I moved to Bedford county from Maryland and purchased an older house. I needed some major work done and was unfamiliar with any contractors in the area. I consulted the yellow pages and found Dollman Construction. I called them to evaluate the project and requested an estimate. Mr. Dollman met with me at the job site and we reviewed my needs. I purchased a 36x30 steel building in February, but needed a contractor to erect the building. Not only was the building erection needed, but this job required foundation drawings, removal of several large trees, excavation of the site, building approval and permit by the county for the design of the building and accompanying lot, as well as insulation and electrical work which were not originally included in the plans. Mr. Dollman's company was able to work with my needs as changes in the plans indicated. All work was completed by Dollman Construction, from the foundation for the building to completing the parking lot outside the garage. The building was quickly and professionally erected, with concrete pads and extra large garage doors.   The house we purchased had significant water damage by a door off the side of the house.  Construction of a new porch area and repair of the damage was next.  The company built a new porch and now this is my favorite entrance and exit into the house. The carpenters made improvements to the area so no new water damage would occur in the future.   The roof was twenty years old, and needed to be replaced.  Mr. Dollman's company was fast and efficient replacing the roof.  A steep A-frame house with skylights over a sunroom and edges which overlooked a steep incline with nowhere to deposit the old shingles presented a significant challenge to the roofers.  The roofers were able to finish the job in ONE day, including clean up of the area. Great care was take to avoid damage from the workers to any structures or landscaping plants.  The onsite supervisor of the work crews is knowledgeable and always available for questions and concerns.   The cost of this work was around ninety thousand dollars, but the work is professional and the employees are polite and conscientious. I am quite pleased with Dollman Construction and have already spoken to Mr. Dollman regarding other projects I need to complete. I could not be happier with the work completed and highly recommend Dollman Construction to anyone looking for a contractor.   On another note, the point of contact in the office is Crystal. She is very polite, friendly and dependable. A rare gem. Kudos to Dollman Construction.
