Recent Review: Quality was great, deck builder was a great carpenter. Time to complete was not good at all...takes way too long. Builder was a carpenter by trade and a sub contractor. Very skilled, but no sense of urgency from DeckTech to complete the job. If you want quality and custom work, they will do it and you will pay for it, but it takes way too long.

AFELICE DECKS INC
After having a miserable experience with another deck builder, we were fortunate to find Felice Decks. I was completely blown away at how passionate and professional Jason Felice was and we hired him immediately. Jason is an incredibly knowledgeable, talented and artistic builder and his quality workmanship far exceeded all expectations. Also, his team was extremely hardworking and fun natured, a real pleasure to witness. Our new deck is absolutely spectacular! Felice Decks has our strongest recommendation – I can’t imagine a better deck company.

AK & R Concrete Finishing and Construction LLC
They had salvage windows to replace my rotted windows that are no longer produced. Having the salvage windows was a tremendous benefit for me. That helped reduce my cost. They replaced the windows that had to be replaced and were able to repair the others.  Some of the work was performed while we were on vacation, so it was wonderful to come home and have the job completed.  The framework and siding were painted to match perfectly. The 2nd part of the project was to lift a portion of the deck that sunk from the same water damage that caused the windows to rot. That portion was completed while we were on vacation also.  When the job was completed there was no sign they had even been there, all trash and scraps were cleaned every day at the end of the day. I have other repairs to be done and will definitely use them again. I also have them contracted to paint the interior of my house.  I was in a rush trying to put my house on the market and they did everything possible to fit my jobs in on a timely basis.

AA Better Cut Deck
Tim ripped out our old wood deck and installed a composite deck. He was wonderful to work with and did an exceptional job with the deck. Tim was very responsive through the entire process and went the extra mile to make sure we were pleased with the final product.

AClassic Construction Exteriors
Classic Construction built a raised deck for my new house that I moved into in May.  I opted to not have the builder (Ryan Homes) install a deck because I knew I wanted something nicer and larger than they would provide.  So glad I went with Classic Construction.  They deck is raised, since I have a walk-out basement.  Therefore, I decided to have the entire deck enclosed so that I could use the under-side for storage.  Classic made this look really nice, putting up beams, plywood walls and then making custom lattice work out of countless square wood blocks (literally hundreds I would guess).  This looks a lot nicer than the lattice you'd buy at Lowe's that people often install under decks to keep debris out.  This made the enclosure fully-shielded from the elements and it is a great area for storing all of my power equipment, etc. so that I can actually park my cars in the garage.  I am still in the process of putting up my own under-deck drainage system to water-proof it from above, but that is just using vinyl panels from Lowe's and some basic steps I found on YouTube.  Anyhow, after a couple months of hot summer weather, a few of the railing beams started to split/crack, so Brian came out to take a look.  He had them replaced within the next couple of days, and the new railings are holding up great...great customer service and doing what it takes to make the customer happy even after the job is complete.   I am so pleased with the deck that Classic will be installing a paver patio off of the deck come this Spring for me....can't wait to have some living space down there as well for entertaining.

APurcell Construction
I normally check the boxes when submitting reviews to Angie’s List but I could not do so for Purcell Construction. We contracted Purcell Construction to build a deck and after delays—not his fault but the homeowners association—the project started one day after HOA approval. The project took approximately one week to complete—could have been sooner but had to wait a sign-off from the county inspectors. We could not be happier with the end result. The deck is well crafted and probably will not move during an earthquake. Hunter team (Donald and Tracy) did an outstanding job in the cold sometime working after sunset to complete the project. If you are looking for a well-built deck at a reasonable price, I highly recommend Purcell Construction

AClassic Construction Exteriors
We had our old deck torn down and replaced with a new PVC deck. We also replaced the front porch flooring with new pressure treated decking boards. We are extremely pleased with the end result of both. We got estimates from 4 companies and went with Classic Construction because we felt very comfortable and confident with them from the first meeting. The quote by Justin, the project manager, was very detailed. He met with us on multiple occasions and drew up several plans for us to choose from. He was always patient as we struggled with picking the design and colors and his recommendations were extremely helpful. He did a good job of laying out the design and explaining things so that there were no surprises during the building phase. He’s easy to work with and was very responsive to all questions and concerns. Once the job started, Chris and Mike arrived on time every day and worked extremely hard in 100 degree weather. They continued until the job was done and there was no bouncing back and forth between our job and someone else’s. They are very skilled and take great pride in their work. The quality of their work was excellent and we’ve gotten many compliments on the finished product. We couldn’t be more pleased with our new deck and front porch. We highly recommend this company and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future projects.

FClassic Construction Exteriors
We used Classic Construction twice - the first and last time! We had Classic Construction build a deck for us after completing some storm damage repairs. Classic had four different crews work on the deck. The framing of the deck fell nine feet, from the ground, onto one of the workers of the first crew, fracturing his ankle and bruising ribs. A second crew came out to assess the damages, detach the deck from the house and to break down the framing of the deck. A third crew came out and built deck. Extremely disappointed with appearance of deck once completed. Following are a lot of the issues, but not all of them. Two top rails were scratched, base of some rail posts hang over the edge of deck boards (making rails crooked), many deck boards were laid uneven, rails move too much, the ends of 19 composite deck boards have the top finish chipped off and several deck boards are scratched. Some camo screws were missing from deck boards that should be screwed into each joist, some camo screws were installed on top edge of deck board instead of on the side and the camo screw holes are uneven and inconsistent. Some deck boards were reused so they had two camo screw holes, instead of one, down both sides of the boards. Plugs were used on parts of the deck where screws were used on top of the boards. The grain on the plugs match the grain on deck boards, but when the plugs were installed they were not installed going with the grain on the deck boards. The kick board on the steps stick out on the side under some of the step boards because they were not laid evenly. Called Scott Jordan, the owner of Classic Construction, to discuss the issues with the deck. I asked him to come out and look at this deck and he refused, stating “I don’t do that!”. He was incredibly rude and disrespectful to me. The crew leader and project manager came out to meet with us to discuss the issues. They said there was nothing wrong with the deck; said we were just nitpicking and looking for something to be wrong with the deck. The crew leader raised his voice at me and was unbelievably rude and insulting. We requested Brent and Brian to build the deck on three separate occasions because they built a neighbors screened porch and deck and did a great job, unlike the crew who built our deck. A fourth crew came out to fix some of the problems but not all. Not at all happy with the end product or with the treatment we received from Classic Construction. We will never recommend Classic Construction to anyone!

Took forever; more than 4 months and then took another 6 months to get all of the inspections. They are a company that gets paid and then you have to follow them step by step to complete the work.
