Recent Review: Dishwasher was not draining water and was leaking. Call Robert Johnson Appliance and he schedule a appointment within a few hours. He was on time and repaired dishwasher very quickly . We would recommend Robert Johnson Appliance and will call again if appliance repair is needed.

Recent Review: It went ok.  Dishwashers come with an outter "wrap" of insulation.  This dsihwasher was a little difficult to get into the space (same size as the old dishwasher), so he just shoved the insulation into the area.  In retrospect, I wish I had said something, but he acted like he just wanted to get out of here.   The dishwasher works just fine.

On November 20 of last year I called Spichers' service department (in Winchester) to look at my dishwasher (which I had purchased from them less than two years prior) because it wasn't washing well. A repair person came, and he diagnosed that it needed a new dispenser. He returned on Dec. 7 to install it. It did not fix the problem. I called again on Dec. 8 to say that it was still broken. He came again on Dec 12th. This time he said it needed a new wash motor and a new controller, both very expensive parts. In fact, someone else from Spichers came to give me that news and ask if I'd just like to get a new one instead. And also to say that I was going to be charged another $119 service call fee (which I thought was unfair as he should have fixed the problem the first time). The total was up around $650. Having already sunk $200 into this dishwasher I couldn't at that point give up and get a new one. But if he had told me all this at the first service call I certainly would have just chosen a new one and I'd be happily washing dishes now. So, they ordered the parts. On Dec. 26 the repairman returned to install the parts. By the time he was done he said that the washer didn't, as it turned out, need a new wash motor (or controller--I can't now remember which he installed and which he said it didn't need) but instead needed an only slightly cheaper part--the user interface--that wasn't broken before he started working on it! So now, my dishwasher was still not fixed, and he's replacing a thing that used to work. I emailed Spicher's and they checked on the part, finding out that it would be in the following week (a four week wait, total) and they clarified that I wouldn't be charged another $119 service fee, but made no other overtures to make sure I was getting good customer service. He came in put the user interface in. He said it was fixed. I washed dishes that night and it was NOT fixed. Still had the SAME PROBLEM I'd originally called them about. I called them in the morning and (to their credit) they came right over that same day and worked on it again. Finally figured out it was a piece of glass in the motor preventing it from spraying the water around. They removed that and cleaned and oiled the motor and it appears to work now. That means he replaced THREE parts I DID NOT NEED, and set me back more than $500 for a problem that he should have found and fixed on that very first service call. This is truly one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I am extremely disappointed. I like to try to use local businesses as much as possible, but this experience is definitely making me re-think that.

I would most definitely recommend this business. Our dishwasher broke a while ago and we thought it was the pump that had went out, but soon realized we didn't have the knowledge to replace it ourselves. This is the first time we've needed to hire for appliance repair so we picked a business that had good reviews here. Made an appointment to have it looked at and the individual who ended up coming was the business owner himself. He was very professional and agreed that it was the water pump that needed to be replaced. He ordered a replacement right then and there, and we paid the approx $375 up front that included diagnostics, $100 pump, labor for the installation, tax, etc. It was a little pricey, but he promised that the pump would arrive very quickly directly to our address, which it did. We called as soon as it arrived which took about 2-3 days. They made the appointment for the very next day to do the replacement. There was apparently an issue with the individual who was scheduled where they didn't have our appointment on their schedule, so we ended up needing to reschedule. The owner was the one who ended up coming again for the rescheduled time. He was prompt and installed quickly. However, when we tried the pump later that day it made a horrible grinding sound. We contacted them and they said that the owner would come out again to check the pump as soon as possible. Made an appointment a few days later and he thought that the pump that was shipped to him was defective, as he'd never heard one make that sound before that was brand new. He ordered another new one which arrived in 2 business days even though he said it might take longer (good surprise!). It ended up arriving on the day before Thanksgiving, so we didn't expect them to come to install during the holidays. That's fine! Everyone should be at home with their families :) Called that saturday and told them the pump was in and they made an appointment for the install of the replacement the very next day. Again, very good availability. The new replacement pump was installed, but he realized that the metal clamp that came with the pump was of poor quality and was causing the pump to leak. He drove to a nearby hardware store to buy a better clamp. Came back, installed the new pump, and it worked perfectly!! He stayed for a bit to make sure it didn't sound as horrible as before and it sounded fine. Everything seemed to be working great. We're a young couple who just bought this house a little over a year ago. Almost $400 is a lot of money when you can sometimes buy a new dishwasher (although of lesser quality) for around that amount. We were very afraid that with this whole defective pump ordeal would cost us even more, but Way Cool didn't charge us anything extra. They were EXTREMELY professional and apologetic of the circumstances. We appreciate them working with us so so much. Thank you so much for helping us out and I hope this review helps some people! P.S. - included a cute picture of our cat, Peter, watching over him while he finished the replacement pump installation tonight!
