Recent Review: Technician was competent and released my husband, but what happened following concerns me. It seems that there is a key, which can be purchased for $25 with a signed liability waiver available in the event someone gets locked in the elevator. I was never informed about this even when I signed the yearly contract. Yesterday, I received my bill for $713 to get my husband out the elevator. The company sent me a waiver, which I signed and sent back to them. When I called to give them my credit card number to expedite payment for the key, I was told I would not be allowed to purchase the key until I paid the $713 in full. I told them I would gladly pay the bill once I received the key. I also asked whether I would have to pay another $700 to get my husband out of the elevator should he get stuck again while I was waiting for the key. I have called Ray Clark, the owner, to discuss the matter of never being offered to purchase the key when I signed my initial contract. He was unavailable, but was available to demand I pay the bill first. Needless to say, my opinion of Eastern Elevator is less than positive. To withhold information about an emergency key so that the customer is forced to contact them and pay a large bill is rather unethical. Had I not asked the technician who released my husband about the possibility of a key, I still would not have known about it. As it is, instead of proceeding with correcting the problem, they are holding the key hostage which infuriates me even more. Although I was just invoiced, my payment is not due until the end of the month, and I do plan to pay my bill, I think their decision to withhold conducting a separate, independent transaction tells me this is one of the sleaziest, money grabbing, companies with total disregard for customer service with which I have ever dealt.

Recent Review: In the fall of 2011, our family decided to expand our home, to include a rear bump out of  two 16 x 16 rooms (a sun room and a sitting room off a master bedroom) with an adjoining deck to allow access between the rooms. The build would be somewhat of a challenge, because the rooms would be elevated nearly twelve feet off the ground at the highest point. The rooms would include full wiring, HVAC system, a pellet stove, stone hearth and wall.  Also at this time, we planned to upgrade our electrical service to 400 amps.  We contacted three different companies for bids.  However, only two responded, Buracker Construction, a family owned business, and another individual contractor.  Both bids were very close, however the construction methods proposed by Buracker were superior, using the most modern construction methods and materials, and using masonry supports, rather than wood posts as proposed by the other bidder to support the elevation. Open communication was maintained throughout the entire process. We were kept apprised of the status of the construction, and they were very responsive to any inquires we had.  During the build, there were minor changes that we made along the way.  Buracker Construction took it all in stride, and was very willing to please and accommodate any minor changes we requested.  If issues were noticed during the stages of construction, they were immediately corrected to our satisfaction. We found Buracker Construction to be very honest and easy to work with, as they kept an accurate account of credits we had accumulated, after we downsized a door and supplied some of our own hardware items and fixtures.  We were able to apply the credits towards other items we wanted to change later.  During construction, the employees and sub-contractors were conscientious they were working in someone's home, and made it a point to routinely keep the outside construction debris to a manageable level, and to tidy up each day. Overall, we are very satisfied with the end product and our experience with Buracker Construction, and plan to use them on future projects.  The one thing I believe would improve the process, in the beginning during the contract stages, if a more detailed explanation is provided to the consumer concerning the exact materials that are proposed for each item, such as doors materials/manufacturer, hardware, etc. Specifically,  in the contract it specified interior French doors for both rooms, we assume they would be solid wood pine doors.  However, what was delivered to the job site were not very attractive engineered wood doors (who knew they make such things).  Nevertheless, Buracker Construction was accommodating, and obtained the doors we requested. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Buracker Construction.

Recent Review: Had almost half of one side of my mobile home's power go out. I tried for an hour contacting every licensed electrician i could. They either wouldn't come for a month, or would give me someone else to contact. I managed to find Rife's remodeling and call. Immediately answered and asked the issue. Now keep in mind this is a call he received out of the blue while driving presumably to another work site. He asked when I'd like him to come by. I said "I wish it could be checked today, but seeing how everyone else has been, when do you have time available." or similar. He promised that day he'd be by to check it out, and he was. Only 2 hours and he came, and diagnosed the problem quick. Sadly it was already getting late, and he couldn't fix it the same night. he scheduled as early as i wanted the next day for his guys to come and do the repair. They came when I asked, and did a good job. The gentlemen were also a pleasure to hold conversations with while they worked, and were respectful. Mr Rife himself was a pleasure to talk to, and has a very professional air about him. I have a lot of work I need done, and after meeting him I have NO doubt he is the one I need to hire for all of my remodeling. I strongly recommend him to everyone. no longer should you have to worry that your contractor knows what he is doing. If you have concerns, you can text him and he can give you links to his professional certifications.

Recent Review: This was the second time I have used Renovation Concepts. The first experience was a relatively small drywall job and the experience was so good, I called him back again for some insulation and more drywall. I'm married to an architect so I have both an elevated sense of what things should cost and an equally sensitive eye for craftsmanship and professionalism. His proposals were right on the money and the work superior. He takes great pride in his work and the finished product is spectacular. He keeps in touch and shows up when he says he will. I recommended him to a neighbor on the complete renovation of an old, much ignored home. I know that they were very pleased with his work and in turn, recommended him to yet another neighbor. I have since seen a number of his other projects and can fully understand why he is successful. I'd recommend him without qualification to anyone seeking superior craftsmanship and industry competitive prices.

AReico Kitchen & Bath
Kara did a great job of addressing all our concerns and needs in the new kitchen. She suggested several changes which have been wonderful. We liked the and quot;one-stopand quot; shopping where we were able to select so many items at one time. We purchased our appliances from Reico and compared the pricing elsewhere, discovering that Reico's prices were competitive with purchasing them separately. That allayed any reservation we had about getting them all from them, and allowed Kara to ensure that the kitchen cabinetry layout would accommodate the appliances chosen. Due to our naivete, we scheduled a party at our home 3 weeks into the remodeling process, which created a real problem since the quartz countertops' lead-time was 10 working days (and they don't measure for those until after the cabinets are installed). Realizing our situation, Kara and quot;pulled stringsand quot; and was able to move our job to the top of the list and they were installed 2 days after the cabinets! That was amazing and showed the extra effort that Kara was willing to put into our job. Kara quickly responded to all questions and concerns and worked well with the contractor. I will definitely use Reico when it's time to remodel our bathroom!

AKitchen Innovations
Jeff McManigal was referred to me by a friend of the family when we advised we were looking for a good handyman.  Although he specializes in Kitchen remodeling, he was willing to help out with the job we needed.  My mother needed some grab bars installed to help her walk around the house and on the outside porch.  It was hard finding someone who made the time and effort to do this job (even after they provided us estimates).  Jeff quickly responded to our phone calls, showed up on time for appointments and most importantly did an outstanding job.  He designed and installed grab bars in the bathroom, hallways, porch, and washroom for $418.00. This price was very reasonable considering the time he spent looking for the right materials.  He provided all the receipts for the materials and provided estimates for other work we needed done in the future (i.e., painting doors).  Jeff was also very professional and pleasant to work with throughout the whole process. As a result, the family feels much better knowing that our mother is more independent with safer ways to be mobile throughout the day. She loves the grab bars!

AOsborn Services
OUSTANDING! Kelly Osborn is a master of all trades and does not sub any work. I have a 5000 sqft home that I have been remodeling over the last eight years, and Osborn services is by far the best contractor I have ever utilized. He has an attention to detail and finished product that represents perfection. He was always on time regardless of the weather. For example, today is a massive snowstorm and I live in High Knob at 1600ft elevation; Kelly Osborn was here on-time as he always was throughout the job, and the project finished tonight.  The night before Thanksgiving there was unforeseen issues with the main waterline and he was working the issue until 9pm to make sure we had water for the holiday?.who does that?  Outstanding craftsmanship for plumbing, cabinets, tile, electrical?he does it all. Kelly and his assistant James (excellent carpenter/framing) became a part of our family.  I spent a great deal of money on high-end materials where I needed pro?s to do the job; Osborn Services delivered on all ends to include time, cost, quality, and scope.  I recieved no incentive to write this review, nor was I asked to write a review; I am so pleased with the work and finished product that I cameo my computer to say how pleased I am.

ADynamo Electric Inc
I contacted Lowes and two companies listed on the Generac website and arranged a home visit with each.  Each visit went well.  Dynamo Electric and Lowes provided an on-the-spot estimate.  The third company was very slow to provide an estimate so was scratched from my list.  Lowes and Dynamo were competitive in price, but Dynamo had many very positive comments on Angie's List, so I choose them.   Paul Brinkley, owner of Dynamo Electric, came to my home to do the initial estimate.  After discussing the size of generator I would need to power my whole house and two possible locations for the generator, he gave me estimates for each location.  I chose the location closer to my main electrical panel, next to the wall of an attached garage.  The installation began about 2 weeks after I signed a contract and gave him a 60 % deposit.   Paul and several workers came to my home about 8 a.m., as promised, and began the installation.  The gas company came during the day to install a higher capacity meter, which cost about $300.  An inspector came later in the day and approved the work routing gas to the generator.  Because the generator was at the low side of my sloping yard, Paul agreed to use an elevated pad to prevent any possible erosion.  The transfer switch was mounted in my garage, about 2 feet from the main electrical panel, which is inside my house.  Since the generator was located next to the opposite wall of the garage, the electrical cable between had to be run from the generator, through the wall, up to the garage ceiling, across the ceiling, then down the opposite wall to the transfer switch.  Since the garage has exposed studs, it would have been easiest to staple the cable to the studs, across the exposed joists of the ceiling and down the opposite wall.  Instead Paul went the extra mile and ran the cable in 2 inch conduit up to the ceiling, then into the attic space over the garage ceiling, stapled the cable to the roof rafters, then brought it down again in 2 inch conduit to the transfer switch.  This resulted in a much better looking job, and an extra measure of safety.   The workers left about 5 p.m. on the first day, after carefully cleaning up all debris.  They came back the next day to finish electrical work in the transfer switch and main panel.  The electrical inspector came about 3 p.m. and approved their work.  Paul was on site periodically during the installation process.  At the end he tested the generator and talked about its operation.  I signed a one year service contract for $220, payable on the date of the annual service.   Paul and his workers were knowledgeable, polite, efficient and as helpful as possible.  I would have no hesitation in using them on a future project.

AAccurate Electric
First of all, I would like to say that I have used Accurate Electric for all my electrician needs for many years. I initially found them on the internet and called because Manfred is a veteran and it is a family owned business. I used them in my last house to perform many jobs, probably the most complex was replacing my breaker box with a larger box and wired my new swimming pool and added outdoor electrical outlets out near the pool. I have used them for a number of jobs in my new home (one year old), Everything from adding recessed lighting, installing fans and various other electrical items. I recently became interested in having a whole house stand-by generator installed. I initially interacted with a big box store and while they advertised the generator and such, they were not too responsive to my potential job. I then thought of Accurate Electric. I called Manfred and I believe he came over the same day. I told him what I wanted. He did an engineering assessment and sized up the job. He actually told me I could get by with a smaller output generator than the one I had in mind, but I wanted that particular generator because of the reviews. Manfred made recommendations on where to purchase the generator and other hardware and also offered to buy the generator as part of the job. However, he recommended that I buy the generator so the warrantee would be in my name and that was attractive for a number of reasons. With Manfred's help, I went online and purchased the generator and required breaker box as well as a mobile link capability. I was able to save considerable money from the generator I was going to purchase at the big box store.  Accurate electric made the entire experience pretty much turn key. He subbed the gas line work and foundation out. Everything was complete and ready when the generator and parts arrived. The entire installation was flawless and is actually attractive and does not detract from the beauty of my home and lawn. I would absolutely recommend these folks for any electrical work. Manfred and his son Wyatt have become family. The $10,000 I quoted above for this job included everything I purchased in addition to Accurate Electric's installation costs.       When we moved into this house, I was recovering from heart surgery and couldn't do much of anything at the time. For whatever reason, the dryer piping that came with dryer didn't match up with the house dryer vent connection, and the dryer cord was wrong. . I called Manfred on a Saturday and he actually dropped what he was doing and came over and hooked up the dryer for my wife. He would not take any money for the job. He is a true gentleman.

FExcellent Services, LLC
My husband and I recently had contracted Joe Shortt with Excellent Services LLC to paint most of the interior of our house, since we had started painting, but realized we would never complete the job ourselves. Since it was a large job, we had several contractors come give estimates. ES came in at a price we thought was fair and had a proposed time frame that would meet our needs. The contract gave 1 week (Monday-Monday) to complete the job, where several painters would be working on the job. Unfortunately, we found out after the job had started that ES was understaffed, so not only did we only have one person (Joe Shortt)  painting in our house, but he only worked 4 days total, calling out the  other 3 days and coming hours late 3/4 of the days he actually worked.  ES just wasn't able to complete the job by that final Monday. We told them that it would be ok if they just got everything done besides minor touchups (to be completed the next week). There were actually major things left undone (whole ceilings in numerous rooms, 2 of which he said he already  did, but they are clearly not painted) and major touchups (a second coat of paint in numerous rooms) to complete. That was still going to be ok if they would complete the job. When ES was scheduled to return and complete the job, they called out one day, showed up the next and insisted that he was just there for a touchup that would only take a couple hours and that we had to move all of our furniture ourselves so  he could finish, even though both rooms which had furniture in them needed  another coat of paint completely as well as lint from the roller brush  to be sanded off of the wall from Mr. Shortt not washing the roller  brush prior to painting in that room, as well as the rest of the work  that still needed to be started. In addition, not only had he painted  over our baseboards after we had asked him to watch his lines, but he splattered paint in many areas on our carpet. There was a lot  more than minor touchups to do; the biggest problem was the denial of remaining work. We contacted them and filed a complaint. We obtained 3 quotes from different companies to finish the job; each of them apologized for the quality of workmanship, calling the paint job by ES "the worst paint job they had  ever seen". Those quotes came back at 80-90% of the original contract price with ES, so all the progress ES had made was negated by the fact that it needed another coat in many places and to be completely sanded down and redone in some places, not to mention the completely unfinished work that was part of our contract with ES to be  done. We tried to come to a resolution with them in order to avoid complicated court and BBB issues, but their proposed resolution was not what we were expecting. We've filed a BBB report and are anticipating going to court next.   In summary, this company is all about "customer satisfaction"..until their customer is actually unsatisfied. They literally broke every single line in the contract they had with us, even leaving all of their  supplies at our house over the weekend, and they definitely did NOT clean up their mess at all (which is very hard to deal with when you have 2 dogs and a mobile toddler). Please do your research and go with a well-known contracting company in order to hopefully avoid the headache that we are currently experiencing with this one.
