Recent Review: We recently remodeled our master bathroom and after extensive research we selected Remodel USA. We initially met with Martin Rabone who spent several hours showing us the various options available and assisting us in making preliminary selections. We were directed to various distributors who work with Remodel USA to make tile, granite and fixture selections. We found all of them to be extremely helpful. All parts of the project were carefully worked through with no work beginning until all the materials were available. We were told the project would take 2 weeks from start to finish and were pleasantly pleased that they finished a day early. Our production manager, Percy Melendez, assisted in final choices of materials prior to ordering and insured that we had the correct items and was meticulous in overseeing the two workers, appearing frequently and phoning often to be sure we were happy with everything. Two people were assigned to do the entire instillation except for the frame less shower glass. This meant that there was no waiting for various people who might be delayed by other jobs and the two knew how to do the tile work, electrical work, and plumbing. Both workers were extremely attentive to making sure that our carpets and furnishings were protected and provided advice about placement of grab bars and the showers. They approached us to make final placement decisions before instillation and did everything possible to make certain we would have the master bathroom we envisioned. The frame less shower surround was also expertly installed. All workers cleaned up the area daily and left no construction or other trash behind. Overall, we were exceptionally pleased with our entire experience and highly recommend Remodel USA. We will definitely consider them for future home projects as they do additions, windows, and other things.

Recent Review: I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Fix-It.  My dealings with Mr. Fix-It were outstanding from the beginning to the end.  It all started with a sales associate professionally, courteously and patiently giving us our options and th price of the job.  After making our choices, the workmen professionally, kindly and courteosly did the work.  They were a delight in our home. We were sorry to see them leave upon completion of their work.   We are now enjoying the most beautiful, user and elder friendly bathrooms that anyone could hope to have.    The work that was done on the job was impecable.  We could not have expected anymore than what we got from anyone.

I generally work within a hour drive of Strasburg Virginia. Some estimates I charge for or require a deposit. This is if I must draw plans or many hours of work are required. Most estimates I do not charge for. When I need to draw up plans I need to charge for that time and will apply this cost toward the project if I am hired. Only contact the phone number or email on my website. The experience thus far in Virginia has been a really good one. Happy to work with DIY clients. I also offer modular home owner builder packages. You can save some money without the risks involved with stick building. I have a cad design program and a 3D home design program. The 3D program is good for letting a client see what a project will look like before it is constructed. The CAD design program can display 3D but is less user friendly. My service area for projects would be NOVA as far out to Manassas and up to Ashburn and through the Northern Shenandoah Valley. At about a hour drive from Strasburg Virginia. I may travel farther for larger projects, just call to see if I am able to work on the project. The picture on the Angie's List website is of a remodeling project I completed. For now please go to my website to see pictures of projects. I am a General Contractor and work on larger projects and I also work on smaller projects. Sometimes small projects lead to larger projects. NOTE: I am lead paint RRP certified, thus, houses built before 1978 will be on a case by case basis for remodeling.

Recent Review: They did an outstanding job! They did leave a lot of sawdust, though. It looks beautiful. The timing was not the best because I had my grandchildren here. It's just perfect. I had the layout but they helped em pick out the wood. I was happy with the way everything turned out with the exception of the lack of cleaning up the sawdust afterwards.

Recent Review: We recently had our kitchen remodeled by Diy Kitchens and it exceeded our expectations. Frank and James were great and kept us updated all through the project. James was the Project Coordinator for our remodel and he was great and was very accommodating and made the remodel go very smooth. Both myself and my wife are very please with the results. We would definitely recommend this company for kitchen remodeling.

ADIY Kitchens & Baths LLC
We had long-overdue kitchen remodeling project in our list, and when finally we were ready to do it, we contacted five different contractors. All of them had 5/5 rating on different websites with fair amount of feedback count in total, so we interviewed each of them. Among all five of them, Pasha from DIY Kitchens and baths was the one of only two contractors who actually measured every single inch of our existing kitchen. Further, Pasha was the only person who actually noted all details of floor plan we have in our mind, and also gave us feedback and his own idea. Other three contractors were immediately dropped from our list - as I don't want receiving ballpark numbers, and other remaining contractor was also dropped from our list as he wasn't detail oriented as Pasha was. There are couple of things what made DIY Kitchens superior compared to other contractors I worked with in the past 1) Pasha and Tony (project manager) were always reachable. They always reply my calls, texts and emails in timely manner. This was really important to me especially, as I'm busy for my work during daytime, so getting prompt reply was a huge thing to us. 2) Pasha always kept us updated about projected timeline and overall progress. He was always transparent with what was going on with delivery, electric work, inspection, why certain things are delayed, etc. He is extremely organized. Everything is noted, planned at his side, and so is in our contract. 3) Pricing was very fair. His service wasn't cheap but wasn't overpriced either. To us it was very fair pricing, as service we received from him and Diy Kitchens and Baths and final result they delivered to us exceeded our expectation by far. 4) All his workers have top-notch craftsmanship. They were courteous, and most importantly they were on time, always. If Pasha said workers will be in my home by 9:00 AM, they show up at 9:00 AM. No delay, no excuses. All his plumbing, electrical, kitchen cabinet crews and a designer were professionals. 5) Pasha is a good problem solver. We were challenged by couple of underlying hidden problems with our kitchen after demolition, and as our project made progress. He always found some creative way to resolve an issue at very fair cost or at no additional cost. 6) Unlike some other contractors, who will try avoiding responsibility for things that went wrong (could happen in any project obviously, happened here and there previously in my other projects, and some small things went not as planned in this kitchen remodeling as well), Pasha was very accountable and fully responsible for things went not as planned. 7) Most importantly, our remodeled kitchen has beautiful finishes and I am extremely happy with what Pasha and his company did. (see pictures) I would especially like to thank you Tony the project manager that has been with us and make sure we happy with any small detail. The trust he built with us through our kitchen remodeling project gave us enough confidence that he will be a our go-to-contractor for our next remodeling project!

APaul Robbins Woodworking Co
This is an added review for Paul Robbins Woodworking because we hired him to do a much more extensive (and expensive) job following our previous review, that of remodeling our kitchen. Mr. Robbin's work continues to impress us. He is careful, professional, thorough and sticks to the schedule. He is able to bring help in when needed to provide complete service. If he did not hire the help or subcontractor himself, he made excellent recommendations of providers or sources. He is well organized and was able to guide us in scheduling materials. We provided the kitchen design and sourced most of the materials to save money and Paul worked with our plan and materials. He was able to put new cabinetry and appliances into a 60 year old house, making them level and plum. Because of his woodworking experience, he was able to finish trims, spacers, and floor transitions that looked fitted and appropriate to the old and new parts of the house. I would recommend this contractor to anyone who is renovating or remodeling any room in the house.

FSouth River Contracting
The project was supposed to start on September 3rd and be finished by September 13. When September 13 came he did not show. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and he took advantage of it. He started the work on the 20th and then I did not hear from him for 3 days. Then he came for one day and disappeared again another couple of days. Eventually, I had to threaten to cancel the contract since he did not follow it whatsoever. I had a tenet ready to move into the house on October first and when I asked when the bathroom would be done he kept giving me the runaround. Also, he broke my storm door and refused to accept responsibility for doing so! Longer story short, the bathroom did not get completed until October 4 after the tenet moved in. He never communicated with me during the entire project. He caused a lot of added stress and frustration for no reason. Once he did finish he was very rude about getting the rest of his money and he tried to charge me more than what the contract stated!! I protested and finally received the contract price.  It's a shame because the bathroom did look great. However, other people can do the same thing within the time that they state. I would not recommend South River Contracting! I will never use them again!!

Dave did a great job at about 1/3 of the price we were given by other contractors. He stayed within budget and did fine work. We really appreciated his professionalism. The job was completed on time and he went above and beyond to help us with our project.

Excelllent experience! Great to have all of the project under the supervision and control of one business, as opposed to having to deal with subcontractors. Punctual and courteous. Outstanding quality and workmanship. Will be using Vailes for a remodel of our master bath in a couple of months.

AD&E Home Improvements
The bathroom was more beautiful and functional than I could have imagined.  This is an old house and much time had to be spent leveling the floor and walls.  The tall ceiling was lowered, the tub was removed for a full, walk-in, accessible shower and bathroom with grab bars, a custom cabinet and hamper were installed, and ADA accessible toilet and accessible sink.  Despite the accommodations, the room looks as though it belongs in a spa!  The floor and walls are tiled, we have an adjustable shower head with hand held options, built in tile seat, and 2 built in cubbies for his and her shampoo, etc.  We could not have been happier with the work.

It was all good.  The workers were great people and they were just wonderful.  Their price is pretty good.  They were here on time and they did not stop working until they were done.  These people really did a good job.

ACornerstone Construction of Augusta
They did a good job and I was really impressed.  There were six that I've gotten to contact with and three of them showed up; one, over bid on a ten thousand estimate then the other second one, our dog didn't get along with, she kept barking; then the third, consistently made some comments which I found very inappropriate.  So we went to them and one of our dogs like him.  He cleaned up after they were done like after doing a days work for 8am - 5pm.  They did an excellent job.  They knew what I was talking about like with the shower faucet, they put the tub in.  They did the demolition of the floor in a day then they put the tub and the faucet.  They did a 3-days work and they did a magnificent job.  They just finished the last by putting a tile and repainting the sink cabinet that we had and painted the walls.  He did mostly the plumbing in the tub and put it in the drain pipe.  We were really impressed.

CMetzler Brothers Contractors
Mr. Metzler was very professional and attentive to my interests.  The estimate was submitted in a timely manner and with good detail.  However, the estimate did not including purchase of the toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet, lighting, fan, or cabinetry (cabinets sub-contracted for estimate of $3800).   Estimate came back at over $21,000.  While my request was for customization, other estimates recieved have been significantly less than the one quoted by this contractor.  He seemed extremely knowledgable, and I'm sure he would do a fantastic job.  However the estimated cost was significantly beyond my expectations.
