Recent Review: Although a day late due to their scheduling issues, the crew was totally professional, did a superb job, protected furnishings, and thoroughly cleaned up what is, by necessity, a very messy process. Took three solid days plus a extra day for electrical work. Not cheap, but certainly worth the investment.

Business Description: Common issues with crawlspaces include cold floors, odors in the home, wet and damp conditions. The encapsulation process removes these common problems seen in crawlspaces. The process usually involves removing any existing subfloor insulation as this material holds moisture. The crawlspace foundation is then insulated using R-10 Foam Board on the foundation wall. We use a 12mil poly on the walls and throughout the crawlspace on the floors and the piers. All seams are made at 12 inches and we seal all seams with a 4" waterproof tape. The space is further enhanced using conditioned air from the home or with a dehumidifier. The system is complete with a sealed crawlspace door. Problem solved!

Recent Review: Sales Rep (Engineer) very professional - of all the contractors (and there were a lot) JES's recommendation was the most comprehensive. They dug out around the foundation and waterproofed the block. Installed french drain that wraps around the house in a U-shape and discharges from two outlets. Attached solid pipe to downspouts and one with holes to catch ground water. Original proposal was to attach the two back downspouts to the drain. During the installation process the crew chief noticed a third downspout on the side of the house (my biggest problem area) JES tied this downspout into the new system (which required about five feet of additional digging and material) at not additional cost. This was above and beyond our original agreement - probably not a tremendous amount in the scheme of things but JES didn't even attempt to ask for additional money and just did what was right. The only hiccup was that they forgot to reattach a 220 line that was removed when they were digging out to the foundation. When I called to explain the problem, they sent someone out to fix it promptly!

AB-Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Repair
A great experience from the first phone call. All calls were returned promptly; appoints kept; budget was adhered to. B-dry's construction company, especially the foreman, was a pleasure to work with and did an outstanding job.

AB-Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Repair
They were excellent and my basement was the only one in the neighborhood that did not get flooded. I got several estimates and my basement is about the size of a cellar. It has a sump pump and had water in it all the time and I wanted it waterproofed. They were the third company that I called and they came out and I told them what I wanted. They gave me that information and a couple of other things that I could do if I wanted and they gave me different prices for those options. They did not pressure me and as soon as I said that I didn't want that, they did not mention it again. They were very honest about what I had to absolutely have to make the water stop from coming in and that's what they did. They were very punctual and it actually ended up being more work than they thought because it is such an old house and it took a whole day. There was no additional charge and the guys that came out were very professional. It has not leaked a drop and we've had several bad storms. I have told all my neighbors about them and I would definitely call them if I needed something else waterproofed. They also put in a new sump pump and put something around the sides of the walls. The price was actually better than other prices that I had gotten.

BHouse Call Co
Very professional, through estimate along with pictures and good breakdown of prices. Expensive but they had the most indepth plan for crawlspace encaptulation, complete with new sump pump, dehumidifier, 20-mil vinyl, electrical work for installing lights, mason-work, sprayfoam insulation, and new crawlspace door fabrication. Estimate was approx $10,000

JES replaced a sump pump, and put another layer of cement on the floor in my basement.  The workers dumped the left over cement in my yard, and left some bricks outside. I was surprised they needed so many workers to do the job. They kept going in and out.  I didn't have a second opinion before I hired this group, which I should have done. We haven't had enough rain to see if the sump pump actually works, but I  hope it does.  I have just noticed cracks forming on the floor. I will not use JES Construction again.

BCrawl Space Systems
I had received several estimates. I did not go with them because I thought their estimate was high and I did not think they were going to meet all my needs. They wanted to put a permanent seal all around my house. I wanted someone to come in and explain where the water was and why and how we could fix it. I had another company come out and do an excellent job at a quarter of a price. We have a geothermal system built specifically for our home and this sealant system was not going to work because it would release heat under our house and our system was not built to do that. They were professional and made a nice presentation. But I don't think they were concerned that in the long run it was for my best interest. He kinda disregarded me when I asked how it would work with a geothermal system. When I did research with my heating company they told me I chould not go with the Crawl Space System. But the person that came out was very professional and very nice.

BB-Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Repair
It turned out fine and it hasn’t leaked since. We got 3 estimates and they were in the middle, and that is why we chose them. They were prompt and able to get the job done quickly. We also had to have the boiler moved which involved extra costs. I was pleased with the work.

FB-Dry Waterproofing and Foundation Repair
Would NOT recommend this company! I got several quotes from 4 different companies, Bdry being the second highest. The salesman explained our options. Basically we were deciding between encapsulation or moisture barrier. We bought the moisture barrier option. The salesman showed us the 15mm plastic that would go up to the walls and up to the pilings which would prevent moisture from rising through our crawlspace and into our subfloor, We scheduled the work, crew arrived on time and finished the work in 2 days. I obtained my own electrician to run the power for the sump pump and dehumidifier, The job forman explained to not mess with the controls of the dehumidifier, as they were set already. I signed the paperword and they left. I had my son go under the house to take photos of the job performed (I'm not in shape to be crawling under houses). The dehumidifier was just running and running, huge gaps between the plastic sheets, the plastic wasn't tacked down. I called the company and was assured the supervisor would call me back in 24-48 hours. I let 4 days go by before calling my salesman and explaining my concerns. They sent a worker who explained they weren't supposed to tack down the plastic, but he'd go take a look. I heard him taping seams and then he came back out and said someone had left the dehunidifier off except the fan, which was was ON instead of AUTO, so not only was it not doing it's job, but it was costing me extra money on my power bill to NOT do it! He assured me all was solved, I signed his service sheet and he left. A week later, I had to have a plumber replace a hose bib, and when he finished, he asked who had done the work and for how much. After I told him, he said I should call them as there was a 3 foot gap between the exterior wall and the end of the plastic, and the only seems that were taped were right inside the entrance. I once again called the 1-800 number and once again was assured I'd be getting a call in 24-48 hours, and once again it didn't happen. I called the salesman again and asked this time they send someone else out to complete the job, as the same worker had been twice (once for the install and again for the call back), who assured me the supervisor would call, as he was sending an email, and copying it the the supervisors boss, Waited 3 days, no call. I then recieved a call from the worker who was obviously very upset asking me if I was trying to say he did bad work, etc...and instead of arguing with him, I asked who had told him to call me. He explained his boss, but refused to give his boss's name. After a period of time realizing the conversation was never going to be productive, I hung up, and called the salesman again. By the way, no one answers their phone when you call, but at least the salesman called me back. He explained that the supervisor "had more pressing problems" and that they'd already given me 2 hours of labor at no charge for a working system, and that they'd never said the plastic seams would overlap by a foot (or even at all) and that they didn't tack them down. He also said that he didn't know they weren't going to put the plastic all the way to the walls when he sold me the job, and admitted that was his fault. He also said that the reason they had the worker call me is that that one worker is "THE ONLY WORKER THEY HAVE TO DO CALLBACKS". The overall impression I've gotten is that they sell you one thing and then do something different, and once they have your money, they don't want to know you. Unprofessional company. I wish I'd spent the extra money and gone with JES. That supervisor has STILL never returned my call! I can't say enough how disappointed and unsatisfied I am with this experience.
