Recent Review: A&S was great on all levels. The work was done in a timely and professional manner. The only delays were weather related, but A&S quickly rescheduled. The sales and service staff were great before, during , and after the install. Small issues arose (like any large project) but the A&S staff immediately corrected the issues. After completion, I utilized the pool service staff for a few service issues (covered under warranty) and the service was handled very quickly, resolving my small issues. More importantly no cost to me. I visited the Chantilly, Va, store on a regular basis for free water testing and all around pool care questions regarding the pool maintenance. The store was an Invaluable resource for a 1st time pool owner. Also, used them to open and close the pool for the summer and winter season. I would totaly recommend A&S for pool constrution, retail store, and service calls. Great company with outstanding service.

Reviews in Hampton to Replace Swimming Pool Liner

AAmerican Liners
I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Wallace and American Liners and the positive experience I had with my pool liner replacement. His estimate for a 28 ml replacement liner was both complete (with no potential hidden costs) and very reasonable. He honored the Angie’s List coupon without hesitation, which resulted in the cost cited below. My Virginia Beach, VA pool is an 18’x26’x40’ “true L” with an 8’ deep end. He took precise measurements that were provided to his manufacturer Dover Vinyl Products (a Made in the USA company). New liner was delivered in less than 3 weeks. 30,000-gallon pool was dewatered the first day and liner was installed the next day with water going back into the pool by that afternoon. Finish work and inspection were completed as promised the following day. Mr. Wallace and his crew were extremely professional, clearly knowing what they were doing. Mr. Wallace’s decades of experience in pool installation, maintenance and liner replacement were further validated when he was able to work around an issue with the existing well point, with no additional charge. The result is a liner that fits like a glove with no wrinkles. It is beautiful. With his great workmanship and extended warranty, American Liners sets the standard.

ATURNERS POOL SERVICE
They were prompt (arrived when they said they would). Got right to work removing the old liner.  Removed old pool liner, prepared surfaces for new liner and installed new liner. Removed all work related debris. Looks like a new inground swimming pool.

At first things went well - Mike worked very hard installing liner and was doing a great job. It has been 2 years so some things are foggy but I have all the correspondence from emails. Mike never finished the liner installation. My brand new liner has 12 big wrinkles in it - that now cannot be removed. He kept saying he was coming and wouldn't. I am so disappointed in Mike. I kept waiting form him when he said he would come and nothing. No call - nothing. He came once to remove wrinkles and I don't know what happened but he left and the wrinkles were still there. As much as I would like to say I would give him another chance - I can't. He won't return calls, emails or text messages. Yet I see that he does work for some just fine and others have the same experience I have. As much as I hate the big pool companies around here - at least they do what they say they will do. He needs to make this right - either get the wrinkles out or put in a brand new liner. I have tried to get this resolved for 2 years!! Never again will I use Flawless Pools

FLOOP-LOC Ltd
We purchased and had installed a pool liner 4 years ago at the cost of $3,647. After making numerous phone calls to both the installer and manufacturer (Loop Loc) their response was that we needed to drain the water and send in the liner from our 30,000 gallon pool for them to "review" and proceeded to give us a quote for a whole new liner. Additionally, there was NO mention of the 25 year warranty. I cannot claim bad customer service because there was NEVER any customer service. No communication from Loop Loc, no warranty explanation, re response to my numerous requests to send out a representative to see the damage themselves.

FPipeline Pools Inc
I hired Pipeline Pools, Inc to install a new liner in my in-ground pool at the recommendation of the company that cleans my pool, Southside Pools and Spas.  I am very disappointed and feel that I was taken advantage of as someone who has little knowledge about pools, as we bought this house last year and have never owned a pool.  But that's why I called a "professional".  The initial meeting was good, and I paid half ($1600) up front by check for the work to be done.  They said that the work would be done no later than May 1st, and I told them, "the sooner, the better."   They came out on or around March 25 (I don't remember exactly which day, but it was within a day of this), and by the time I got home from work at about 1:30 that day, they already had the old liner out and the new liner in (they had just started that morning).  They still had quite a bit of work to do, but it was nice and blue and new.  I thought, "Wow, that was fast!"  Maybe a little too fast, now I'm seeing.  It was filled with water, and by Friday we were ready to leave for Spring Break for a trip.  I spoke to my regular pool guy (from Southside Pools), and he said he should have everything balanced and the pool "open" before we got home from our trip.  We arrived home the next weekend to a sparkly new pool liner, and the kids actually swam in it that Sunday, even though the water was still a bit chilly.  The next day, Monday, April13, I decided to go turn on the pool light after dark and check it out with the light on.  Much to my chagrin, there were all sorts of horrible shadows on the pool bottom and slopes in the deep end where you could tell that the ground underneath wasn't level.  I'm not just talking about a little unevenness.  I'm talking about divets as big as a dinner plate and unlevel ridges along the sides.  My pool guy was skeptical; until he came out after dark to see it.  He said, "yeah, that is pretty bad".   I contacted Pipeline Pools, Inc, and after a few days, the owner of the company, Josh Hastie, sent an "agreement of repair" that stated the following: "Pipeline Pools will agree to pull liner back and repair noted spots in walls with the understanding that payment in full is due the day OF repair.  Our contractual obligation has already been fulfilled.  This is a good will gesture on our part in an attempt to make you satisfied.  As we have noted any spots in floors/walls that become apparent with the pool light but not in normal daylight is a common occurrence at the age of your pool with a foundation consisting of sand cement.  It is also further understood that over time the pool foundation will deteriorate as a result of overfill, leaks, ground water and/or surface water issues.  These said repairs will be completed no later than June 15, 2015." I responded on April 23, 2015 to the agreement of repair with the following email: Hi Josh, I would like the agreement of repair reworded to say that you will receive payment once the pool is full and can be seen at night with the light on.   I understand that there may be some imperfections, but since the intitial workmanship was done poorly, I want to make sure it is repaired in a satisfactory manner before I make the payment. Sincerely, G M Today, April 26, 2015, he responded with this: Mrs. M, Our work in accordance of the contract has been completed.  The previous good will gesture for us to come back in and do further work, which we did not deem necessary, was not accepted by you; therefore, it has been rescinded.  Imperfections which you admit cannot be seen in daylight are not something that is wrong with our workmanship.  The liner is water tight without any wrinkles and fits perfectly.  Pool bottoms such as yours that are composed of a sand cement mixture are impossible to get completely smooth when examined under the shining of a pool light at night. Our contract clearly states that we use "1 bag of vermiculite as needed", in which case was done. The original deadline for the remaining balance on the contract of $1600 + $75 for new stainless steel light ring was due on the completion date, which was April 1. I have extended that deadline to May 1 as a courtesy to you.  After that time, we will regrettably be seeking further options of collecting.  Josh Hastie Pipeline Pools Inc. I am very frustrated that I will be paying $3275 for a job that I feel is unacceptable.  I emailed Josh Hastie with the request to amend the "agreement of repair" at the advice of another pool company, (Aegean Pools), to state that he would receive payment after I saw the finished work at night with the light on.  Unfortunately, Josh rescinded the "agreement of repair" and I'm stuck with paying for the pool liner as-is, unless I want to take legal action.   I would stay away from this pool company.  I trusted the guy who cleans my pool on his recommendation.  Unfortunately, the only reviews I could find for Pipeline Pools, Inc were reviews for cleaning pools.  The owner is very young and immature, and although I am not a pool professional, I feel that he is not experienced enough to do big jobs, such as install liners.  Cleaning pools is one thing, but a new liner...well, that's another. If anything else comes of this, I will update this review.

AAmerican Liners
The whole process went well. I was concerned about the new liner getting wrinkles in it as the old one had. Mr. Tony explained to me how water gets under the liner and will not perk because of clay. He explained how a pump hooked up to a well point drain would eliminate this problem. During the estimate meeting, Mr. Tony explained how his liner product was a step above other local competitors because of the better securing top edging, the lack of seams and the backside coloring to slow the fading process. At the beginning of the liner replacement process, Mr. Tony showed tenacity, because it was hard to find the well point drain line. Installation process was quick. Mr. Tony answered any questions I had patiently and thoroughly.

AFlawless Pools LLC
We hired Flawless Pools when we first moved into our house 8 months ago. Mike explained how our pool operates and did a few minor repairs. Whenever I needed to ask a question or get advice he would call or text back immediately. When our pool liner and cover were clearly at the end of their road, we called Flawless Pools again. Mike and his staff did a wonderful job installing new liner, new filter and getting the pool ready for use. Great communication, very professional and highly recommended!

Tony and his crew were amazing! Tony is a true professional in every sense of the word. From the way he conducted our estimate, the work done and his follow-up! I found American Liners on Angies' List and went with them because of the reviews and they lived up to their A+ rating. The price was competitive and very fair. We got three quotes and Tony's was in the middle but definitely worth choosing. Tony is the owner. He is professional, extremely knowledgable, friendly and truly cares about his customers - even after the install. We highly recommend American Liners.

We had to replace the 10 years old liner in our pool. The young man, Tony was very professional, punctual and friendly. His price was very reasonable and we don't doubt he would have done an excellent job if we had hired him. I appreciated the time he spent with us and his honesty. We would do business with him in a heartbeat, we had to go with a different company though because of some warranty issues from previous installation.
