Recent Review: To start this whole debacle, I am in the military and I'm leaving for training (2 week course) in a few days. My wife has breast cancer and is slow to get around. I'm having a whole-home generator installed so that my wife and kids are protected while I'm gone during some of the coldest weather we were supposed to have in our area so far this year. To facilitate this new generator, a new gas meter is required. So, Columbia Gas replaced our gas meter and afterwards the gas line failed their pressure test. Subsequently, our gas was turned off and suddenly we have no heat or hot water! I have to admit that I was suspicious of the gas company because we have lived in this house for 10 years and never knew we had a "leak" until then. Columbia Gas says the only way to get the gas back on is to have a plumber or HVAC company test and repair the leaking gas line. After speaking with a few other plumbers/HVAC companies (all of which were unavailable until 2 days later) that were "recommended", I Googled all local HVAC companies and started with Jordan Mechanical as they had the highest ratings in our area (and for good reason!). The young lady answering the phone immediately told me "not to worry, we'll find someone for you...you can't go without heat or hot water!" I was thankful for her response. She called me back within 5 minutes and said she had a technician in route. They showed up and walked me through their gas line testing process while they were doing it, and sure enough I could see each and every leak in the line!! How that line leaked without causing any trouble is beyond me. So the technician says he'll be back the next morning (it was late in the evening when they came out) by 09:00 to start the work...folks, he was there 10 minutes early. So to make a long story short, they replaced the lines and couldn't have done a better job instilling confidence with me! From the first phone call I made to Jordan Mechanical, until the job was finished, they were some of the most courteous, technical, and professional folks I've ever had to deal with, hands down! If you're in need of any type of home A/C, plumbing, electrical AND gas line work, in my honest opinion, you're best choice is Jordan Mechanical!

Recent Review: We have used John for years. His prices are reasonable, he is trustworthy, and he is very pleasant to work with. The work that he has done is on an older home that we have. We call him whenever we have a need. It is a little tough to get him scheduled as he is very busy. I will use him and recommend him in the future.

Recent Review: Shawn from Sullivan Plumbing arrived promptly at 830am and finished around 3pm. He was very professional and kept me updated with his progress throughout the day. All of the work was well done and he cleaned up everything (including dust from having to knock into the ceiling). I was very pleased with Sullivan and would use them again.

Recent Review: Lewis Ayres is that individual who breaks the mold for what American culture says a plumber is. His price is reasonable and his work is careful and always correct. He stands behind his work and really looks out for his customers. I am thrilled to recommend him. My wife and I feel so good about knowing we can have him fix something when it needs to be fixed. We live in a 1939 house and there is always something it seems. Lewis is always on time or he will call you and tell you when he will be there, he is clean and always leaves your space as clean or cleaner than when he got there. He is easy to work with, friendly as the day is long and you can trust him to come in and work when you cannot be there. We've done that many times and have no concern whatsoever about safety. He will get the work done and lock the door as he leaves. He plumbed an extension to our natural gas lines in two directions, so we could have a gas oven and gas heat in another room. But he has also done bathroom and kitchen work for us. Highly, highly recommend! Here is his phone number: (434) 845-4964

AThe Gasman LLC
Word of mouth reccomendation. A little hard to initially track down and schedule. After estimate   things went great .First Class job. Expert hard working people. Later had them install a hot water heater with the same great results. Head and shoulders above the other local companies in the same field. Not cheap but well  worth it.

DPlumb Care Plumbing Inc
We bought a house and went back to Arizona to move our belongings to Lynchburg. We had contracted with PlumbCare to extend gas line from basement to kitchen -- maybe 20 feet. When we got the bill, it was for $750. The PlumbCare officer told me that two men had taken half a day to do the work. Two neighbors told me that one man had been there about two hours. In my view, PlumbCare is exploitive and took advantage of the fact that we weren't on hand to check out their story. After considerable conflict, the company reduced the bill to $500. The quality of the work was okay - just marginal. The issue is that they seem to be pirates.
