Recent Review: JES sales reps are extremely good at what they do, so if you call them, expect to hear a hard sales pitch and be prepared to make decisions on the fly. Cost came out to be higher than I expected, but quality of work was exceptional. Took crews 2 days to completely insulate, waterproof, and encapsulate my crawl space. Crawl space is beautiful now. Some minor cosmetic damage was caused to foundation parging, but JES gladly reimbursed me for costs to repair. All in all a good experience and my electrical/HVAC bills are down roughly $100/month (likely synergistic with outdoor temperature levels).
Recent Review: Three men arrived on time they were courteous professional and worked hard! My only suggestion, prior to leaving the premises when the job is completed meet with the customer to see if they have any questions. I had to remind them when they were getting ready to leave I needed to pay them for their services! Would I hire them again you bet. Hard workers!

Recent Review: Previous piering companies had tried and failed to solve our sinking foundation problem with undersized piers. After researching available options and getting quotes from a few companies, we chose Expert House Movers to excavate around our foundation, install custom made piers to support the weight of our house (full masonry, stone foundation, slate roof and terazzo floos) and spray a rubberized coating on the below ground portion of our foundation to stop future water penetrations in our stone foundation. They showed up promptly, performed the necessary work in a timely matter and were careful of the landscaping we wanted to keep. The job itself took longer than anticipated mostly due to additional work needed once the foundation was exposed (tuckpointing, new window wells, etc). There was minor damage to the sprinkler system and the water service line, but we were compensated for the damage by EHM. My only complaint was the amount of old drainage pipes and broken concrete that was left on site during the work and not removed until the end of the job.
Recent Review: MY BASEMENT COVERS THE WHOLE FOOTPRINT OF MY HOME AND IT WAS GOING TO BE A HUGE UNDERTAKING. MID ATLANTIC CAME IN AND WORKED LIKE CRAZY TO COMPLETE IT IN ABOUT 4 DAYS. I HAVENT HAD A PROBLEM SINCE.
Recent Review: They're okay. I found him easier to work with, Greg is his name. I think he is one of the co-owners. I had various things done and some of the work in terms of the workers I had here, I liked better than others. The carpenters I was a little nervous about, but it was all fine. I had some problem and Greg came back and looked at it. They are very good too. They did a very good waterproofing job. The price was a lot because they did more. There was a problem when the insulation leaked onto my floor and there is still brown spots there. He said "That happens sometimes", I didn't like that. One group of guys I didn't like at all. The supervisor and owner were very patient, courteous, and responsive. He is really quite good, Greg is. He was very patient when I raised issues and responsive and how professional he was.
I strongly recommend that you not even consider Central Virginia Waterproofing (CVW) if you foundation needs to be waterproofed! I am not an expert, but it seemed to me that they did a respectable job of the waterproofing itself. It?s what they did before and after the waterproofing that has driven me crazy! To actually perform the waterproofing, CVW had to dig a 4 foot trench along the foundation where it was to be waterproofed. The first mistake was that they didn?t skim off the topsoil and store it separately. Then when they filled in the trench after doing the waterproofing, the soil on top was just clay. They seeded, but only a fraction of the grass sprouted and so we had giant mud puddles all winter. We had to replace six rhododendron bushes ? but half of them died because of the poor soil. They transplanted a marvelous dogwood tree but it died too. This Spring it became apparent that CVW used inexpensive seed on the lawn, and where we do have grass it is very coarse ? not at all like the rest of our lawn! Then top everything off, his staff dumped a truck load of clay, laced with bricks and chunks of concrete in our front yard; we have no idea where the clay came from, but it?s not from our project. We gave no permission for it to be dumped on our property ? indeed we weren?t even asked about it. The pile is about 150 feet from the house ? but right in the line of sight from the front door and dining room bay window. When we had the CVW principal, Howard Pape, over to see this unacceptable landscape situation he flatly refused to take corrective action. My wife and I are (or were) very proud of our landscaping, put a lot of work into it, and were decimated when it was partially destroyed!

Work quality was excellent and the basement is dry. They arrived as scheduled. Their follow-up for small problems was not satisfactory. They are expensive but their system works.

They did what they said they will. Waiting for the 2014 spring to see how it will perform. So far so good.

They did an excellent job. They were neat and clean. No other company offers this specific fix. They dug a trench at the foot of the wall inside the home (only a few inches wide) and were able to solve the issues we were having with the water leaking in. I would highly recommend them!

They did a great job; the job came out excellent. The price was stiff and I was not able to find comparable pricing on it so it was difficult to equate. I was unable to find anybody else who did this kind of work. The quality of service and responsiveness was very good. I will use them again in the future.

Our experience with Troy was outstanding. His work, and that of his associates, is top quality. He stuck to his original quote, and when my wife added features to the job the additional cost was very reasonable. He finished in six weeks, exactly as promised. We couldn’t be more pleased!

The men who did the work were very courteous and efficient. Three months after the installation, however, we learned that the pump had been connected to a an outlet that didn't receive power on a continuous basis. This could have precipitated a flood while we were out of the country, but thankfully it didn't. Additionally, we asked B-Dry Waterproofing if it would be willing to pay for the electrical issue, but it wasn't. We also wish that they had done a better job of finishing the surface of the concrete.
