Recent Review: I would have to give BB&K 5/5 stars just because of the finished product. It was a rough start and took an extra-long time but overall, I’m thrilled with the results and expect to have them come back for more work. This started out as a kitchen remodel and turned into so much more. For starters, I had them put in new tile flooring throughout half my house (a double-wide). They also adjusted the roof over my back porch so that it slanted AWAY from my house so that when it rains, the rain no longer comes in thru my back door! During the job, I asked for and received 3 new windows and a new back door, which was not that easy since this IS a double-wide and requires special doors. For the new windows in my dining room, I asked for a real windowsill and Bill built it for me. In fact, Bill was so awesome that it would take a book to sing his praises! Not only is he professional and well-educated in his field but in many other ‘fields’ as well! I learned quite a bit during the whole process and I’m no novice at home ownership. All this was on top of a rather large remodel already with all new appliances, all new cabinets throughout the kitchen and laundry space, granite countertops and bar in addition to new lighting overhead and under cabinets. I chose some seriously different backsplash tiling which Bill did, not only a very professional job installing, but added some creativity of his own. He’s a perfectionist, which I just love! In addition to the main project, I asked for and received some extra handy-man help as I live alone and am a bit handicapped as well. The end result of all the time and effort is that my home is not only in a great state of repair (no more sagging floors and collapsing cabinets) but I am more organized than I could have thought possible. Remodeling is always a stressful condition and issues arise inevitably. With BB&K, all issues were addressed and resolved. I am now proud of my ‘new’ home!

Recent Review: They started at the beginning of October and the kitchen was not finished until January. Lots and lots of phone calls made to Quinns but very little feedback on what or why there was no work being done. We did pay a reduced price for the job. The original price was 2500$, we ended up paying 2300$. Not everything was negative. A+ on the roof they put on the house in August of 2006. Different crew and project manager I guess.

Recent Review: The two plumbers that Tyree Plumbing sent to my house were very easy to work with. Both of them were friendly, professional, and helpful. I explained that I wanted to get rid of the existing cast iron sink in my kitchen and pull all of the lines out of the walls and floor so that I can get to work patching and refinishing those. (The new water lines for the new kitchen sink had already been ran, so that was not part of this job.) Old houses are full of mystery as far as what previous owners or repairmen were thinking when they ran plumbing or electrical the way they did. My house is no exception. The cold water line running to this old kitchen sink went to the side of the sink, up beyond the sink itself, back down again, seemed to loop over and then routed back down and along the wall to where it connected under the sink. The hot water line was T'd straight off of the main water heater line with a 3/8 inch copper pipe. The cold water lines in the basement also had about 10 feet of extra galvanized piping that ran out, turned, then another four inches of straight pipe, another turn, then came back to where it connected (essentially a really long U). The plumbers checked out the maze of pipes to be sure there wasn't something else stemming off of all that pipework and once cleared, they made their cuts. They capped off all the lines in the basement, capped the sewer vent leading to the exterior, and then asked if I wanted help getting the cast iron sink out. (Hallelujah!)  I had been more than a little worried about how securely it was anchored to the wall and had warned them to be careful under it. Thankfully, it didn't fall off on one of these nice plumbers, and they were nice enough to keep it from falling off onto me (or my kids) by removing it. Thanks guys! Overall, I was exceptionally pleased with Tyree Plumbing.

We found the "T" support brackets a bit pricey at $75.00 but didn't have the time to shop around. I suggest the company be a bit more reasonable on these items. Overall a very good experience.

FKitchen & Bath Ideas
My wife and I contacted Kitchen and Bath due to the positive feedback we read on Angie's List and the fact they have signs in their business stating they're Angie's List recommended. To start with, we met with a nice lady there at Kitchen and Bath who showed us counter tops and gave us ideas for our kitchen remodel. After talking about 30 minutes, we decided to let Kitchen and Bath schedule the measuring at our house. That took place two weeks after we walked in the store. Which was ok as we were in no rush. After the measuring, it then took another two weeks for the lady at Kitchen and Bath to review with us her plan to remodel our kitchen. Again, not a big deal. We met with her and agreed on the layout and design. She then stated she would need to have an electrician come to our house to spec out the electrical requirements. She stated the electrician would contact me to schedule the visit. However, 3 weeks passed before I received that call.  The electrician showed up Oct 24th and examined our panel and electrical situation. He noted he'd have to add another circuit, but nothing major. It is now Nov 25th and I have not received a call from Kitchen and Bath. After nearly three months of trying to be a customer to have our kitchen remodeled I'm done.  Regards, Rodney.
