Recent Review: had a new bathroom vanity installed and needed someone to do all of the plumbing hook-ups.  After wasting time contacting plumbers who wouldn't return calls, called back drunk, etc. I tried Absolute Plumbing and Mechanical. Everything was first rate, from scheduling the service to the work they performed. They replaced two valves  under the vanity, connected the drain line and water lines, and installed the faucets and hardware, all in about an hour and a half.  They were very professional and did a great job. Plus a 10% Angie's List discount. I will call them again for any plumbing needs that come up.

Recent Review: I purchased a deal through Angies list for 3 hrs of handyman services. I was very pleased with the job done by Robert.  He was knowlegable and very helpful.  His work was excellent and he left the work area neat and tidy.   My only concern was that the company owner was slow to respond to calls at times. This "deal" was definitely worthit.

Recent Review: Very responsive and came out to give me a quote for snaking my drain line vs replacing drain line - Suggested I replace plumbing instead of snaking it. Set up a day to complete it and were punctual. Mike spent time educating me, which I really appreciated!

Recent Review: Great! Mike was very up front on the job needs and possible surprises.  His crew worked around our schedule and took the time to make it right.  It turned out better than expected and my tenant was very pleased with the outcome.    It started as a septic overflow in a small bathroom.  The waste went under the sink, into the floor, on the baseboards, and pooled into the crawlspace.  Mike responded to our request and came over when he said he would.  He fit us into his schedule and got to work right away.  His employee, Todd, did a really nice job in finishing the floor so that the bathroom could be used as soon as possible.  The job came out great!

The caulking on the vanity backsplash was sloppy.  In removing the old back splash there was a transition "line between the painted drywall and the "raw" drywall under the old backsplash.  In the places where the new backsplash did not quite cover the transition line, the workers caulked over the transition.  However, the painted portion of the drywall "curved away" from the portion below it and stuck through the caulking. Also, the new pipes installed with the new faucets leak.  Very sloppy job!

I called late last week to make an appointment, and the only thing that wasn't perfect was that I had to wait through the weekend.  Got the 9-12am window. My "master bathroom" pop up was stuck shut and I foolishly tried to repair it myself and made it much, much worse.  Downstairs, our pop up didn't close. Rick and Brandon called precisely 30 minutes before they arrived, as promised by the main office.  They arrived right at 9am, gave me a nice "hello" and handshake and got to work.  Offered them coffee or some breakfast, and they very politely said "no."  They were very businesslike.  One hour later, both sinks were fixed.  Though I forgot to print Angie's List coupon for 10% off, they were happy to honor it by looking at it online, which I really appreciated. I thought the most telling thing was that they explained to me I have "Quest" pipes and fixtures and that I need to be really careful not to crack or aggravate them, because they're temperamental.  They didn't weave some apocalyptic tale to get me to do it right away and pad their sales.  They explained there was an issue, what the issue was, assured me that everything looks fine right now and then said we could do something in the future, if we like.  I really appreciated the honesty over the hard sell.     We're first time homeowners in a 30 year old house, so we have a lot of projects to tackle, but when we do get around to replacing those fixtures, you can be sure I'll call Absolute Plumbing to do it.

Wes promptly responded to a telephone call and provided an on site quote on the same day.  After selecting Wes, we agreed to a start date and time and he arrived promptly.   Wes was very professional in both his work methods and in keeping me advised on how he was proceeding.  He was thorough in the functions performed and was respectful to my property and household items,  I am very happy with his results and would not hesitate using his services again.

Initially I was very impressed with the owner, Bill.  He and his project manager assured me that things would go smoothly as I told them about a bad experience I had had with another company following a burst water heater and their poor service.  I was told there would be daily oversight of my job and the entire job would take approximately 6 weeks.  His project manager for my job appeared enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the process.  Well, everything that COULD go wrong DID go wrong.  Even the workers who came to perform the tile, dry walling, painting, etc. seemed frustrated with the lack of coordination and planning on the part of the project manager (Jenny).  Amounts of tile needed were underestimated causing a delay, a tile pattern was installed incorrectly, a recess in the shower was way off center and had to be pulled out) the vanity in the master bath which previously had an electric outlet to the right now has an outlet on the left. (I am right handed) and it is now difficult using the hair dryer, etc.  A light fixture I was saving from the old bathroom disappeared.  A hole was knocked in the ceiling in a downstairs bath that was not part of this project and the repair showed up on my final invoice! The dry walling was done without any attempt to cover anything in the surrounding area which meant that the entire master bedroom was covered in plaster dust.  The painting had to be done at least twice due to poor workmanship, "bubbled" areas that were left, no caulking appeared to have been done on areas so the painting would have a smooth finish.  At one point I came home to find that my new Dyson vacuum cleaner ($500) had been used as a "shop vac" and was filled with plaster dust and debris.  THIS BEING SAID....Bill was 100% responsive and took accountability for the poor performance I had experienced.  He went to great lengths to make things right, adjusted my bill to compensate for numerous issues and has agreed to send his housecleaning crew to clean my upstairs once a separate job done by another company replacing all carpeting with laminate was complete (that job has just been completed).  He replaced the missing light fixture at his own expense and acknowledged that on my job, there should have been more oversight on his part over his project manager and he apologized profusely which I genuinely appreciated.  The end result is that I have two very nicely done bathrooms but it was definitely not smooth sailing and most of the time I felt like I was the project manager having to stay on top of the mishaps that seemed to come daily.  As long as Bill is your project manager I would assume that you would not have one problem with this company.  Again, he is VERY responsive and we left on good terms in spite of all the issues because of his attitude and sense of good business in making things right.  It is his attitude at the very end that made me give this experience a "C" as opposed to a "D" or "F".  Had he been involved all along the way I feel very certain this would have been an "A" experience.  Unfortunately he was not and his project manager was always "in a meeting" and we corresponded mainly by text or email :( and things were done incorrectly and corrections had to be made.  Bill was very gracious when he did the "walk through" with me and I showed him why I was so frustrated.  I said I would not use them again but I have to say that if Bill has the oversight on your job you probably won't have a problem.

DExceptional Construction and Painting, LLC
Most of the work was of average quality. The painting was below average. There were two painters with 12 and 20 years service (according to them.) They could not properly cut a straight line between Walls and ceiling. We had asked for a 4 inch pan in the walk-in shower. The pan installed was 2 inches. Mike said the documents that came with the pan stated that the pan was 4 inches. Measuring from the shower floor to the top of the lip is 2 inches. So instead of being able to to use a shower curtain.without water running out on the floor. Michel installed a shower door. The job took two of his men 6 hours to install the door. The first time we tried to use the door came out of it's track. We finally resorted to contacting a shower door company. He said he could install a custom door made with 5/16 glass instead of plastic. When the old shower door was removed to install the new door, the we discovered that the door had been shimmed with wood|; which would rot over time since it would absorb water each time time the shower was used. Clean-up each day was unsatisfactory. They did not cover furniture and other items in a room and some paint had dropped on several pieces of furniture. We had to request they cover furniture when painting. We also had to ask that they cover the floor and stairs with heavy construction paper in their main paths through the house. Based on the work done in our house I would not recommend them to anyone.

I first met Wes about 1 year ago while we were working on a condo tp flip. Wes did all the plumbing in three baths and the kitchen remodel including installing the new sink, faucets and gas stove.  Since then we have used him several times attending to issues in our rental units. He always responds in a timely manner. He has a good rapport with our tenants, has a professional manner while doing the repairs, and leaves the job site as neat as he found it. And most importantly gives me clear and concise information as to what has to be done to correct the issue.   This last call had him working Saturday night and again on Sunday morning replacing a condo hot water heater that was wedged into a too small closet under the steps. Never complained, just called me and calmly described what needed to be done and why. Wes is definitely my "go to guy." 6/25/14 Sad to say my latest experience was not on par with my earlier experiences. Had to have them come back to re-install counter top that had not been secured to the base cabinets, to install the provided laminate end cap on one side of counter top and to replace the end cap on the other side which was not finished even with the counter top and was damaged by installer. Also, the 18" bath vanity was a least a half inch out of level after install. Vanity sink drain stem lever was not attached. Kitchen issues were resolved after the second trip. Bath issues resolved by me.
