Recent Review: My renovation project began after mold was discovered in the Master Bathroom. I had a mold remediation company remove everything down to the studs and subfloor. I contacted Kevin Yarbough (Owner of RamCom LLC) after a neighbor recommended him. I had already had 3 other contractors out and received quotes ranging from $6,000-$30,000. I choose to go with Kevin because his communication was superb. We began discussions on 07/03/2012 and spent the next 7 weeks conversing via email and by phone to iron out the details. He spent a great deal of time going over the layout and design of the bathroom. I could not decide how large to make the shower and where to put the claw foot tub I wanted. He came over and drew it out on the sub-floor to help me visualize my bathroom. They began work 08/27/2012 after I had ordered all of the necessary fixtures. What I absolutely loved about working with Kevin was his attention to detail and ability to aid me in design decisions. When I had concerns he would discuss the different options with me and how much they would affect the total cost of the project. They worked diligently until the project was completed 09/21/2012. The remodel took a little longer than expected due to the shower plumbing that was changed. We had them change the single shower head to 4 body jets, a rain shower head out of the ceiling and a hand held shower head. We also had two niches put in and a bench seat. The plumbing for our tub had to be moved as well to the new location of our claw foot tub. They installed a new double vanity, faucets, and fixtures. We added three small dimmable lights and they replaced the existing light fixtures as well as the electrical outlets. They made a full wall in the bathroom into a half wall, did all of the drywall/concrete board and painted the bathroom. We also had a rather detailed tile job on the floor and walls of the bathroom. Kevin and Joe showed up on time, respected my home and always cleaned up before they left. I have worked with many contractors over the years and Kevin is by far the best. I particularly liked the fact that I paid them for labor only and was able to order my own fixtures. Whenever I am in need of any remodeling in the future Kevin will be my first and last call.

Recent Review: I went to Firuze on the advice of a neighbor who had done her kitchen remodel through them. I was looking for a one stop shop company who would take care of the whole process from design to install. I first met  with Katarina to discuss my two bathrooms. She began by asking questions about my taste and preferences and she really helped me narrow down my ideas until I had two bathroom designs I really liked. Leo then came to my house to go over all the installation details and he was very thorough and made some good suggestions that I had not thought of. There was no pressure which I liked, everyone was very friendly and professional and I thought the overall quote was very reasonable. Once Firuze started my job they were punctual and showed up every day and the finished bathrooms look beautiful. I?d definitely recommend Fiurze!

Recent Review: We had some idea of what we wanted to do with our 2nd floor master bathroom, and from the very first meeting Rich Sowinski of Virginia Bath was able to help me work through my design ideas.  We wanted to remove our rarely used garden tub, then move and enlarge the existing shower to the garden tub area.  The move created an extra space for linens.  We wanted that area to look like a built-in cabinet with shelves on the top and drawers on the bottom.  That worked out beautifully.  Virginia Bath took exquisite care to protect our home from any construction demo and "mess."  They were so careful, that they left the house in better shape than they found it!  We selected some travertine tile for the floor and shower, and Virginia Bath provided us with an awesome variety of grout colors. Virginia Bath was very receptive to my queries/requests to lay the tile in a certain pattern, and to add an additional niche in the shower (since the new shower was so big).  We also replaced the vanity with a one piece unit, that I'm sure was not easy to navigate to the second floor!  Nothing phased these guys. Every last detail was attended to with great care and professionalism.  Every request we made and question we asked were answered right away.  The disruption was very minimal and they keep to the exact time frame they estimated.  The whole crew even worked around, and doted on, our curious Newfoundland dog...they even offered to let her out for me while they were here working while everyone else in our family was at work.  I would not hesitate at all to recommend them for your bathroom work.  Rich Sowinski of Virginia Bathroom was highly recommended to us and I am doing the same here, without ANY reservation.  Before he finished work on the master bath, I was so pleased that I had him give me an estimate on my smaller hall bathroom.

AMJL Contractors, Inc
This project went very well. When our old shower was removed, the contractor discovered not only a hidden old stairway, but a leak from the floor above. Accessing it to repair was difficult, but it and a second leak were remedied and a disaster averted. Installation of the new shower was demanding, as like all old houses, ours has its quirks and odd measurements and angles. The remodeling---a new shower, removal of an old tub and installation of new cabinetry---was excellent. MJL's Mike Laudicina and every one of his helpers did meticulous work. And all were a pleasure to do business with. We would hire MJL again, and readily recommend them.

AThe Virginia Bath Company
We decided to do a complete remodel of our master bathroom and contracted with Virginia Bath Company (Rich Sowinski) for the job. We couldn’t be more pleased with the way things worked out. We can summarize our experience in “4 C’s.” Communication: Rich was unfailingly responsive. Email and text messages were his primary media, which suited us well (avoiding phone tag). The terms of the contract were precise and explicit. Once the job began, Rich started each day by telling us what he would be doing. We never felt in the dark about any aspect of the work. Courtesy: Given the expected disruption and inconvenience of this kind of project, the personalities of the people doing the work can make things easier or more difficult. Rich and all of his associates were unfailingly polite and pleasant. This seriously lessened the disruption in our lives while the work was being done. In fact, we began to look forward to Rich’s appearance each morning to brief us on the day’s work in his extremely cheerful and positive manner. Coordination: Since this was a complete remodel, the job involved Rich and his assistant, a cabinet maker for the new vanity, a plumber, an electrician, a painter, the people who built and installed the glass door for the shower, and the people who installed the new countertop. Every single one of these did their appointed job on the exact date promised by Rich; there was not a single exception. This speaks volumes about the relationship Rich has with his subcontractors. Craftsmanship: The new bathroom looks great. We do not have a single complaint with the quality of the workmanship (and we have looked over the final result very carefully). Overall, we recommend Virginia Bath Company without reservation. They provided, by far, the best experience we have had with serious work on our house.

Complete bathroom remodel. Started job on time. Competitive pricing for scope of work. Demolition of bathroom, removing bathtub, vanity, wall cabinets, lighting, commode, wall and floor tile. Installed new floor and wall tiles, vanity, lighting and mirror, moved plumbing and electrical as needed, installed new plug outlet, installed new light and fan switches, installed new commode, built walk in tiled shower (no tub) with grab bars, relocated and installed new fixtures, painted complete bathroom and door. Cleaned up everyday before leaving. Hauled off old debris in a dumpster. Start to finish 2 weeks. Very polite. Very professional. Easy to work with. Will provide many ideas for the job at hand. Super attention to details. Nothing negative at all. My wife loves the bathroom.

I was very impressed with Resurrection Builders. After receiving price quotes from larger contractors, I decided to see if a smaller contractor could handle my job and time restraint ( had to be completed in 2 months). Ryan offered an competitive bid and guaranteed that he could finish the remodel according to my deadline. I was very impressed with the professionalism and quality of work of Ryan's employees. They were punctual and explained in detail each step of the remodel. The finished remodel exceeded my wife's expectation and we have received many compliments on our bathrooms. I would not hesitate to use Resurrection Builders again.

Couldn't be any worse! "David" (guy in charge of NAKB) hired incompetent people. They came without equipment & had to borrow ours, didn't have basic supplies & worked out of the trunk of a car. The first tiler & plumber were fired because it was clear they were incapable; they leveled the tub with a piece of sheet rock instead of shims! The second plumber refused to come because he said he wasn't under contract, & "David" was out of town for 3 weeks & was the only one who could sign. We hired & paid for our own plumber..."David" said he'd reimburse us but then tried to force us to sign a waiver that negated the guarantee on his work; we had to take him to court to get the money. The guy who laid the tile was a handyman, not a professional tiler, & the tile is all crooked & unevenly caulked, if caulked at all. The caulking is messy, & he damaged our brand new tub. It took 8 weeks to do one small bathroom, it looks like crap, and we are out thousands of dollars, plus we had to take him to court to recoup some of the money. The bathroom is soooo bad, we are having it torn out and re-done again. ("David" claimed in court that he showed photos of our bathroom to perspective customer...really? He came to our house once after the remodel was complete and did not take any photos; plus showing such photos is professional suicide.)

It went extremely well. Andrew and his staff were extremely professional and helpful when decisions needed to be made. Andrew has a great stable of subcontractors to call on for specific jobs. He made several suggestions that increased the total price of the remodel, but I was very satisfied that his suggestions were in the best interest of the job. I was extremely satisfied with the result.
