Recent Review: I had 3 different companies come to my house to give me an estimate. Of the three, the visit from Home Doctor was the least enjoyable. The salesman was by far the most pushy and HAD to show me all the "special" features even when I said I didn't want to see them. I had to fill out a survey about the salesman with him sitting right there, and then he made a comment when I didn't give him a 10. Also, their initial estimate was much higher than the others. In spite of all this, I am happy I chose them. The owner, Phillip, was very responsive and willing to work with me on a variety of things. He seemed a little young, greedy, and not the most professional, but in the end he gave me a good price and did everything he said he would do. I ended up with mid-grade windows, the Berkshire Elite. The quality is not what I hoped, but probably what I should have expected for the price. The outside frames are thicker than I expected as well. But overall, they look amazing if not inspected too closely. The sliding door takes more muscle to move than my last door (a Pella door from the 1980s), but it is extremely smooth and quiet. The installation team (Alex?) was very professional, kind, and detail-oriented. The windows were installed on the early end of the 4-6 week estimate, which was nice. In the end, I got what I wanted and I have no real complaints about the whole process, just a few nits. If I could do it all over again, I'd do the same thing.
