Recent Review: Contractor arrived on time, removed old concrete and asphalt in short order cleaning all construction debris and hauled it away.  Only problem was the concrete delivery was late to arrive but that was the fault of the concrete company, not the contractor.

Recent Review: I was referred to Brian through a friend, and I am so glad I called him. He was able to replace my sidewalk for the time and price some companies would have done for just the repair. I love my new sidewalk especially with this snow.

Recent Review: It went well overall. Daniel was very responsive. He called to follow-up and sent a crew out on a Saturday to finish some landscaping. The quality of the sidewalk is very good including reinforcing it with rebar.

Recent Review: Lucia came by to give a estimate. She was very professional and presented me with all the company documents and what to expect. Greystone called when they were coming as agreed to. Crew was there on time. They were very competent and professional. It always helps to have someone supervising the job so no mistakes are made and all goes according to plan. As the project progresses there may have to be some modification to the design like making sure the curves are good and lines are straight where you want them. No problem with that at all. When job was done they cleaned up everything and power washed the all the dust away all the way to the street. I am willing to pay a little more for a project if things go as smoothly as this one did. Thank you Greystone for a beautiful walk that my guests and I can enjoy for many years to come.

BABBA CONSTRUCTION INC
Owner is easy to deal with and price was fair. However,  quality control was sub par. Install crew was a bit sloppy and clean up was not satisfactory. For example, I discovered later that pieces of dried concrete had been splattered extensively on my house siding. I could not get it off and had to hire painter to repaint the siding.  I was out of town for the job finish and I believe this was part of the problem. I would use them again but be there to oversee the work is a must!!!

ASunfire
First, let me clear, I am a very demanding customer and complain about everything that is not right.  It comes from 34 years in the Army including time as a Drill Sergeant. In this case, I have nothing but praise for this fantastic company and dedicated group of professionals.  First, responsiveness was superb.  I called and they came with an estimate within hours.  I had four estimates and each was providing slightly diffident quality of materials or "free add ons." So I went back to each for modified estimates on the exact same work and materials. Second, of the four, two never responded to my request. Sunfire provided almost instantaneous response by email even of Sunday and after hours. In the end, they were the most expensive of the two, but they left us with the highest degree of confidence that they could and WOULD do what they promised. Third, they were the only ones who was going to install actual brick borders as opposed to stamped borders. In fact they even recommended styling the driveway border to match the design in the existing sidewalk. If fact, they changed my current bricks to be the exact as the driveway. So, we went with Sunfire and have not had a second thought. The team was prompt, clean, and very polite. They were careful to not damage anything and when they departed it was hard to tell that had worked there. In fact, they did such a good job backfilling that my landscaper had almost nothing to do saving me money in the end.   There was no hidden cost or surprise expenses at project completion. This is the ONLY rating where I have given a perfect mark and they certainly earned it. In fact, we are considering have them do an upgraded pool apron costing around $25,000+ Only hire them if you want your work completed on time, on budget, and to perfection. That is the only thing I have seen them do.

They were professional. We talked on phone at first with great response. After agreement of price and the time needed, the work was done and Ted met me on my time for finishing approval and payment. To understand me is I do not give an excellent. Good is my highest rating for anything / anyone. Ted Bowling is in my phone contacts for later.

The entire team (about 5 people) were hard-working and very professional. I gave them an approximation of where to place the sidewalk. They marked it out with their flexible boards and then let me adjust it to my liking. Concrete pouring was done in the morning and then they came back in the afternoon to spray off the top layer (for the exposed aggregate look). They cam eback again after that to put a sealant coat on. They did warn us that the concrete truck could damage our asphalt driveway by leaving indentations from the weight. However, on the day of the installation, they parked the truck at the top of our 400 foot driveway and used wheel barrows to bring down the concrete. I didn't ask them to do it, and it made it a lot more work for them. But, it saved us from having any driveway repairs. The finished product turned out great. I'm very pleased with the quality.
