Recent Review: Three men arrived on time they were courteous professional and worked hard! My only suggestion, prior to leaving the premises when the job is completed meet with the customer to see if they have any questions. I had to remind them when they were getting ready to leave I needed to pay them for their services! Would I hire them again you bet. Hard workers!
Recent Review: Previous piering companies had tried and failed to solve our sinking foundation problem with undersized piers. After researching available options and getting quotes from a few companies, we chose Expert House Movers to excavate around our foundation, install custom made piers to support the weight of our house (full masonry, stone foundation, slate roof and terazzo floos) and spray a rubberized coating on the below ground portion of our foundation to stop future water penetrations in our stone foundation. They showed up promptly, performed the necessary work in a timely matter and were careful of the landscaping we wanted to keep. The job itself took longer than anticipated mostly due to additional work needed once the foundation was exposed (tuckpointing, new window wells, etc). There was minor damage to the sprinkler system and the water service line, but we were compensated for the damage by EHM. My only complaint was the amount of old drainage pipes and broken concrete that was left on site during the work and not removed until the end of the job.

Recent Review: My basement was leaking. I called Servpro who informed me my foundation was leaking. I called AquaBarrier the next day and Matt came to my house that afternoon. Turns out Servpro misidentified the problem. Matt said you do not need foundation work, you need a plumber. He identified that my main water line was leaking inside the block. He then proceeded to call a plumber for me that he knew and the problem was resolved that afternoon. When I asked him what I owed him, Matt replied I didnt owe him anything. I was shocked; Servpro (granted it was the weekend) charged me $175 and pointed me in the wrong direction. If I ever do need my foundation waterproofed, I will call a fair, honest guy; Matt Holley.
Recent Review: From the first call, Evergreen was responsive, on time and completed the work ahead of time. They were available for phone questions. All appointments were kept and they were there when they said that they would be. They did exactly what they described in the estimate, cleaned up and worked efficiently.
Recent Review: This company is rated well and they know it. The rep was knowledgeable and made helpful suggestions about our options--did not try to force us into one way of thinking or doing. I think I would have used them if our builder hadn't made us go with their version of basically the same thing All Aspects was recommending--corrugated black flexible drain tile covered with a drain sock in a gravel-filled perimeter pit and a sump pump.
It went as planned- on schedule and done correctly. No issues with any water since the system was installed 2 years ago.

No work was done. Initial proposal was vague, but upon further discussion proposed work follows standard procedure and is very cost effective.

I had a good experience from the quote to the completion of the work. They spelled out on the contract what was to be done and it was done better than expected. We would recommend this company to others needing a basement waterproofing plan that works.

AXpert Foundations Inc
I have a new construction in Rockbridge county that needed work done to properly drain around the house (crawlspace was filling up with water). Xpert Foundations came to the rescue and installed a 3 part waterproofing system and exterior drain tiles. Xpert Foundations was very busy, but worked me in so my new construction schedule wouldn't be further delayed. While they were out here, Luis saw that the foundation for the step portion of my bricked back porch was laid on gravel and on top of an old perimeter drain. It would eventually separate from the main porch, so while he was here and had the ditch dug for the drain pipes, I had him install 2 helical piers to hold the steps up. I also needed an additional step on both the front and back porch and he framed and poured concrete for those. Reinforcements of rebar were bored into the the existing foundation, extending into the new poured concrete to tie the two together. My original GC did not plan for enough steps, which led to this problem. In addition, my GC did not fill my concrete foundation blocks with rebar and concrete. This left potential structural problems for lateral movement, especially in areas where the block was 6 rows high. My structural engineer suggested additional reinforcement which involved knocking holes in the CMU, installing bent rebar and filling with cement. Xpert Foundations did this work in critical areas only. As money allows, I will call Xpert Foundations back out to fortify other areas in the foundation that are less critical, but still important for my peace of mind. The work was done quickly and thoroughly. I would definitely recommended Xpert Foundations and would use them again as the need arises. I feel my house is now well drained, and structurally sound. I worked with Luis. He was great - very professional and easy to work with. I am a woman and am used to many contractors talking down to me or in such a way that I felt they thought my questions or concerns were stupid or trivial. Luis was not that way at all. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. His crew was great also - very hard working and polite.

AAll Aspects Waterproofing
We had a great experience with All Aspects Waterproofing. We were moving some boxes in the basement closet and discovered what we suspected and actually turned out to be mold. YIKES! After the initial panic moment we called around to several waterproofing companies for estimates. The call center at All Aspects was great, getting detailed information and scheduling an appointment right away. Also were great with reminders. Jeff came out to do the inspection - he even called to see if he could come early since it was a Friday and we all wanted to start our weekend. Jeff thoroughly explained that our mold wasn't anything to worry about, suggested products to clean it up our selves as well as suggested things we could do economically in the back yard to improve drainage and water flow. He was very honest and took the time to educate us on the situation. He even warned us about other people who may claim we needed big work done when in fact it's an easy fix. Sure enough, a couple of the other companies who came did in fact suggest huge jobs. I would definitely use All Aspects if I ever do have a "big" problem.

AJES Foundation Repair
He returned on time on the date he stated he would do the work. My husband supervised the work, and stated that he completed the work in a reasonable amount of time. He cleaned up behind himself very well. I give Evergreen an "A" on price, because although they charge more than some other people, we have neighbors who have gotten someone who charged less, but then had more water problems in the basement after the work was done. The original work was done in May, 2012, and we have had a very nice, dry basement ever since then. We used to have to rent a wet-dry vac after almost every big rain storm. The basement has remained dry despite a very wet, rainy summer this year, and rain and straight-line winds from a derecho at the end of June, 2012. Evergreen suggests that you get a checkup of your system once a year, so we had them come back this August to do an inspection. Everything was still fine. The cost of the inspection is $98.
