Recent Review: Great! Mr Renata is an awesome guy and did great work. He has a keen eye for detail and will not stop until the job is complete. He installed a pre-fabricated pergola I bought online. The concrete slab it was going on was not perfectly square and he had to reconfigure the set up in order for it to work. He was patient and meticulous, and helped me to get it done in a satisfactory manner. It was not a standard install. He did work above and beyond to make sure it was done correctly. He has a strong in the faith and will do the job right.

Recent Review: From the planning stages to completion of our new deck, the people at PWHI were professional with us.  We took our time to decide the details and changed our minds several times, and still they were patient and never pressured us along the way.  It took three days in total once the building got started-- one day  to demolish and remove the old deck, one day to replace the foundation, and one more day to construct the rest of the deck and pergola.  We did have a little hiccup when they realized that we did not have an outdoor outlet for them to be able to plug in the lighting on the stairs, but they did not let it fall by the wayside and were quick to remedy the situation by having an outlet installed.  We were very happy with their service and would definitely recommend to someone looking to have a deck replaced.

Recent Review: The main project we needed to have done was to take the screening off of our gazebo and build window frames with screening. This would then make it possible to take the frames out in the future when we need to clean or paint. The existing screening was just stapled to the posts and power washing would just tear it down. Unlike the others who provided pricing to do the project, Bob suggested building the frames so that they were added to the inside of the gazebo. They screw in and there is no need to use a ladder from the outside to work with them in the future, something that is important as we get older. He also painted them to match the deck which we had recently stained. (All other vendors were going to build them from the outside of the gazebo.) We had a secondary project which was to replace some posts and split rail fencing that had rotted out. It not only required digging the old posts out, but stapling the coated fence to the posts which is required for pool security with children. We are very happy with the quality of the work that he did and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others, as well as use him for other projects in the future. The pricing shown was for both projects and very competitive with other bids that we received. The fact that Bob provided excellent suggestions for the gazebo work was a determining factor in choosing him.

Recent Review: Mr. Ferriss is an artist, a professional, and wonderful to work with. I had a disaster of a backyard, and he designed and installed a beautiful patio with fire pit, an adjacent garden and gazebo, and appropriate and tasteful lighting. He further added definition and landscaping to the yard. His work reflected attention to detail and customer satisfaction. His work is like he is building it for himself. So much pride goes into his work. We were very pleased with his work and have enjoyed it immensely every day since. You will not be disappointed.

I would say that the overall project went horrible. I had to do initial work myself on the plan site first before they would start the project. During the consultation we were told the crew would be professional, and they were not. None of the crew except the crew leader spoke English and he was not there that often so we were never able to converse with the crew. Every time I had a question or concern I had to call someone and then leave a message because they were not available at the time for some reason. Most of the time the crew worked in whatever they wanted instead of the Company logo shirts like we were told in the consultation. During the process of foundation laying the crew broke one of my pool return lines. It flooded the foundation and started draining my pool. It took the company a day to get someone to fix it. When I asked for the paperwork on who actually fixed it they refused to give it to me. Then they continued the construction of the deck after saying it was fixed. They did work fast on putting the deck and pergola together. It failed inspection the first time and then was past the second time after more structural support was added. After it was built and we were doing our final walk through I noticed that there were no screws used in the construction process, only nails. During the consultation I was told only screws would be used because this adds strength and longevity to the structure, and prevents separation. That was a big selling point for me. I was really upset to see there were none used and they just said "oh well." A little while later after the deck was complete I noticed my pool level continuously dropping. I knew right away that it had to be the location were Prince Williams Home Improvement must have broke my pool return line. When I called them and told them about it they told me they needed definite proof that it was in the same location as were they broke the pipe. I then said ok, I can get my pool company to verify that it was and asked them if they would reimburse for all expenses paid if it was their fault, and they said they would. After having two tests done to give them proof they finally agreed that it was their fault. My pool company was allowed to come out and fix the pipe since they did not fix it appropriately the first time. When it came time for reimbursement, Prince Williams refused to reimburse me for expenses paid in having to prove it was their leak and only covered the actual repair. So they lied straight to my face and still owe me money to this day. After to talking to them many times they stopped returning my calls. So, now it is almost a year later and just like I expected, me and some of my Carpenter friends are already having to fix issues with the deck and pergola structurally due to their poor craftsmanship. We had so many plans we spoke with them about during our consultation for our house, and with the workmanship and professionalism displayed by them during our deck project they have completely lost my business. And it would have been a lot. Just be careful with this company if you are looking into them.

I feel ripped off! The craftsmanship and materials used in project were not commensurate with the price paid and failed to even come close to our expectations. The company is very unorganized, unprofessional, and the owner makes promises he cannot fulfill. On price, several issues once I signed the contract. First, found out the sub-contractor Williams used got the lumber for the pergola from Lowes. For a pergola that cost several thousands of dollars, I would expect the wood to come from lumber yard with quality wood. On craftsmanship, had to write an email to the owner to complete the following work: replace half of the top of the pergola because wood had too many knots and were of inferior quality. Funny thing is, never told the sub-contractor which ones to replace, but he stated he could see them when he came out again. The coat of paint didn't cover the wood completely, needed to be re-painted. The sub-contractor failed to fill any of the knots with wood filler. The sub-contractor failed to caulk his notches in the cross boards, could see the gaps between the boards. Sub-contractor failed to sand the cut edges, had about a quarter inch of feathering on each end.    Second, paid about twice as much for the exact fire pit from an online retailer. The owner claimed it was the shipping charge for the materials, which is why he charged so much. It is not the labor as it did not take them long to install. With the mulch, it contains so many rocks, it is of very poor quality, would never use again. Williams left us with almost a full pallet of pavers and about 3/4 pallet of edge pavers. Had I known this, I would have built a bigger patio. The company is very unorganized in many ways. First of all with only a few days of rain, our project was pushed back a whole week. Then with one more day of rain, the project was pushed back another two days, but the company failed to call and tell us. We had to call Tuesday afternoon a day after the project was to start to find out it would start on Wednesday. The crew on the project told us it was complete even though the fire pit lacked the bowl, grates, and cover, I would expect the crew on the job to know what the entire job entails. During our walk through prior to the job, we were told all our materials were on- hand, this was not true, because it took another nine days after the owner came to talk to us about our unhappiness with the project to complete the fire pit. During the walk through, failed to tell us they were going to take the dirt they dug out for the patio and spread it across my professionally seeded yard, to a distance of twice the size of my patio. Had to spend additional money on sod because company failed to tell us how far out they would spread the dirt. The company didn't inform us they needed a water hose, nor did they bring one. Finally requested a Friday delivery of mulch, called late on Friday and was told Saturday morning is our new delivery. If they couldn't meet a Friday delivery they should not have scheduled it. As far as being unprofessional, I shouldn't have to email the company owner to replace boards, sand boards, and put a decent coat of paint on the pergola. Workers broke my fence latch and they couldn't leave a note on my door or a message on my phone. Company broke my quick disconnect for my hose, because they moved it from my front yard to the back yard. Could have brought their own hose or told me they needed a hose during the walk through. The company shouldn't tell me all materials are in their yard when they are not. Finally, their ability to estimate materials. They estimated six cubic yards of mulch, added an additional bed 12 inches wide down the side of our house and had two cubic yards of mulch left over. Had to pay even more money to expand our back yard beds and make two additional beds. With those estimating skills, wonder how much I paid for materials not used, since it was one set price for the job. Finally, the owner makes promises he cannot fulfill. We asked for an itemized bill, still has never shown up, even though we were told we would get one. We were told that they would aerate the side lawn, never happened, never even raked the side yard. For the price paid for the project, I would expect quality materials and better customer service. I would never recommend Williams for any type of landscape work.

The irrigation system was done by a sub-contractor and installed perforated pipe and leads to the individual plant which over watered the area and killed the plants. The hardscape is wavy, sinking in some area and creating a drainage problem where pools form and do not run off the patio. Williams would not stand behind their work and did not fix a thing. Williams offered me a free months landscaping service as an alternative. Completely unacceptable. Have spent thousands with other landscapers to correct the issues.

That was super, the work was great. We had a little follow-up issue, but they corrected that. They were responsive, they kept us up to date. The crews were easy to talk with and then when they were done they came by and did a punch list with us for anything that was incomplete. So, I think they were super.

Company is horrible to work with, lacks communication with the customer, is very disorganized, and company makes promises it does not keep. Conducted a walk through prior to project start date. At that time, didn't go through what would exactly be done, did not mention they needed anything at our house, but did answer our questions. The first question was extra bricks, what would be done with them. We were told that the bricks were ours. When I say they lack communication, was disappointed when our project start date was pushed back a whole week with only two days of rain. They didn't show up on date the project was to start, nor did they call. Didn't show up the next day, had to call to find out what was going on. We were told they would show up the next day and that they should have called us to inform of the changed start date. Company could not tell us in the walk through they needed a hose, they took the hose from the front and moved it into the backyard. In that process they broke the hose connector. All they had to do was ask for a hose. Ordered mulch for delivery on a Friday, had to call Friday afternoon to see where it was, told it would be the next day. Workers broke the latch on my fence gate, but couldn't even tell me. Company could not even call or email to say they were complete with the project or corrections to the work I requested was completed.
