Business Description: Simply Organized & Sane understands that your family and home are important to you, but you get a little busy sometimes. We are here to help you and your family work like the well-oiled machine that you see on television. We are not a cleaning service and we do not use sub-contractors.
We will travel 30 miles from the 22556 zip code. Any traveling outside of the 30 mile zone will be assessed a $25 trip charge.
Recent Review: Steve - and his team of installers did an absolutely fantastic job installing shelving units, actually storage cabinets, in our garage. In every way, this was the most professional service we have experience from a construction related vendor in our life. Steve was on time, explained all the options to us, and his team of installers arrived when he said they would. They were very friendly and professional and didn't leave until the job was finished to the highest standards. I strongly recommend them. This is a man who does what he says he will do, shows up when he's supposed to, and follows up after the sale and after the installation to make sure that you're satisfied. You will not regret dealing with him or his team of installers. On top of all this, this was my first purchase on Angie's List. I am a believer in the process and have since use Angie's List on three occasions.

Full day of organizing. We focused on the target areas that I selected (closets, laundry/storage room, etc). Purging is key, and she helped me arrive at smart decisions on what to keep and what to donate. I like that donation items go directly to her church group for women in need (its easier to let stuff go when you know it will help somebody). She had great tips on how to avoid accumulating too much stuff all over again. Very sensitive to how hard this process can be, and very easy to work with. Great service.

Maria and her team are amazing. They are professional, reliable and extremely good and thorough at what they do. I let my home become messy and completely unorganized over the past few years. I was overwhelmed and struggling with trying to make it feel like home again while maintaining the responsibilities and busy life of a working mother of 3. Hiring Orderly Home Cleaning was the best thing I could have done for myself and my family. Maria and her team did a thorough and very satisfactory initial cleaning of my house and organized my office and closet. I was so pleased with the results that I have hired them to do biweekly cleanings, which have been surprisingly thorough and in-depth for maintenance cleaning. They have even taken the extra time during maintenance cleanings to work on scrubbing the iron stains out of our bathroom fixtures (before & after pictures of shower floor provided with this review). I have been extremely satisfied with their services, which are done expertly and quickly at affordable and very reasonable pricing.

Hope helped my daughter to organize her new home while accommodating my daughter's long and busy work schedule. In addition, she bought (and returned!) any items that would help organize drawers, closets, etc. She communicated frequently with both of us (I live out of state); each communication included what had been done; what needed to be done/purchased; and an account of time and money spent. Hope is task-oriented, which benefits her client; but, she is positive and non-judgmental. This approach is especially important for people who may be 'organizationally challenged' or who may be trying to squeeze a 25+ hour day into 24 hours! As a result of her help, my daughter and her family now live in an organized and peaceful environment. Affordable Organization is worth every penny! I called Mr. Jennings on my parents' behalf -- the patio at their condo needed cleaning and de-cluttering, and my mother was worried about getting everything done. Mr. Jennings removed old cans of paint, dead plants, and other debris; cleaned off the floor; sorted and stacked pots and other gardening supplies; and cleaned the patio furniture. He even repotted a few plants! He left the patio neat and ready for them to use. He hauled the trash away, and disposed of the paint properly by taking it to the city's disposal center. He fit the job into his schedule on short notice, and was even able to do it a bit sooner than originally estimated. He was a pleasure to deal with, and my parents were thrilled with the work he did -- they say they will definitely use his services again.

Cilla is fantastic. She helped me decorate and organize my new log home. I move into this home from a totally different style home and thought I needed to buy new furniture to fit the style. Cilla showed me how to repurpose my furniture. She not only came up with the ideas, but she rolled up her sleeves and did the work too! She helped me more furniture around and gave me great ideas. She is a ball of energy and was great at quizzing us about what we liked and how we used each room. She helped me with the living room, entry hallway, and dining room. She gave great ideas for other rooms too. She even brought her sewing machine and whipped up some custom table coverings to put under the glass on some antique tables I thought didn't go in our log home...but with the added fabric they looked updated and we love them again. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking for decorating ideas, help with organizing, renovation ideas, clutter help, and staging. Her rates are very reasonable. We definitely got our money's worth.

Last fall we had carpets removed and oak floors restored at an inherited farmhouse in Martinsville where we stay a couple days a week while checking on elderly parents. We also had cabinets painted and some new ones added. While I wasn't there, a team of guys (my husband included) started throwing things in boxes and moving them randomly while they worked on one end of the house at a time. When the work was finished, I was overwhelmed with boxes of stuff I needed to deal with in all the wrong rooms. I just sat in the floor and cried. I picked up my laptop and Googled "help me organize my stuff". That's how I found Molly Hunter at My Clutter Solutions. Molly came for about 4 or 5 hours a day at $20 an hour. She picked up one box at a time while I sat beside her and watched. She asked about each item - do I want to keep it or not. Amazingly, I didn't care about a great deal of the items. At the end of the day, we had boxes of things to give away to charity which Molly took away with her. She returned the next day with receipts from Goodwill or the Rescue Mission. We also had bags of trash that she hauled out to our dumpster. She quickly became my new best friend. Once we had only what I wanted to keep, she started helping me put things away in a much more organized way than I'd been used to. I was amazed to find how many batteries, sizzors, and rolls of tape I had, that I could now find in an instant. The house went from a cluttered mess to beautiful. I wasn't sure whether to thank God or Google for Molly, but I thanked God. I was so happy with Molly's work, when we decided to put new cabinets and floors in our house in Roanoke, I called on Molly to help me pack things up. This time we got rid of items before they were placed in boxes that she carefully labeled with contents and room. Molly again took items to charity and took the trash out for me. Now the renovation is complete. The workers were able to put the boxes in the right rooms. I have Molly scheduled to come back and help me unpack the boxes and organize the things I kept. I can't wait to work with her again. Her time is worth every penny and more. Arrived on time as stated; cleaned-up afterwards. Appointment for estimate was good & professional. The day of the install, everything went as we expected it to go. The installer cleaned up the area during, and after the install. The shelving units were pretty much what we discussed & paid for. Cost wise I thought the install was pricey, but it did rate in the same range as others, so for the work performed it was normal for the industry. Love the new organized look & can't wait to get everything organized to go back in the closets & make use of them.
