Reviews in Buena Vista for Installing Vinyl Plank Flooring

The new carpet was installed at our old house to ready it to sell. They removed the old carpet, laid the new carpet and pad in a downstairs room and up 8 steps. In our new home, they installed a ceramic tile back splash in our kitchen and vinyl flooring, with luan underlayment, also in our kitchen, a hallway, and utility room. They did a wonderful job. We don't have any complaints. I love it all!

FFLOORS & MORE
The Floors & More installers arrived on schedule and at the end of the first day they were about half done and I saw two problems with the installation:  rough saw cuts and large gaps on the trim of severals doors and flooring boards, that should have been discarded due to off-color / knots, were installed in the middle of the living room floor.  The next morning I called the business owner, and told him about the problems.  He responded saying "if I was unsatisfied with their work, he would tell his guys to leave".  Obviously not wanting to be stuck with trying to find someone else to finish the work, I asked that he complete the job but to please tell his guys about my concerns and try to do better on the remainder of the installation. At the end of the next day, they were finished with the wood flooring but unfortunately, there were more of the same problems and some additional problems of loose boards and large gaps in between boards.  I called the owner again and told him I was unsatisfied with the work and asked for at least some discount in price; he responded that he would "see me in court" and hung up.  One week later, I paid them the full amount to avoid the hassle of going to court over the holidays. Since then, we put a rug over the mismatched boards, caulked the large gaps on the door trim and tightened and nailed the loose boards in place.  The vinyl flooring in the utility room that initially looked good, is now coming unglued and is bubbling up after only 10 months.  The folks at Floors & More are apparently completely incompetent for the line of work they are in and their handling of customer complaints is unprofessional at best.  I strongly recommend not letting these guys anywhere near your home.

We had just bought a house and really wanted to get some new wood floors to replace the old carpet and vinyl kitchen before we moved in. Tim was most readily available and also gave us a very, very fair quote. He explained about how everything would go and after some consideration, we agreed to continue and get the work done. We were so glad we did! We ripped out the carpet and vinyl flooring on our own and also stained the shoe molding on our own to save some extra money. Tim came by a couple of days before starting the work to do a final walk through and make sure everything looked prepped and ready to go. He pointed out that we had half of the room in plywood and the other half in particleboard. The particleboard was no good under hardwood and needed to go. He lended me some tools and showed me exactly how to do it on my own as he was really busy and it would cost more to have him spend the extra time doing so. By the time he arrived to begin installation, there were still some remnants of particleboard leftover and we had also broken off the adjustable peg of the oven while moving it. He helped me move the oven and install the new peg, as well as help me move the refridgerator so I could finish removing the old vinyl out from underneath it. We gave Tim the keys and trusted him to come by and do what he needed. Within 3 days, all was done as expected. The rooms looked brand new. Everyone who has seen the before and after are simply amazed. Tim worked really hard and did a top quality job. We plan on using him again once we move forward with updating the rest of the home!
