Recent Review: I had been considering remodeling my kitchen for some time and a friend suggested that I contact Boss Design. I was unsure as to what I wanted, but Sean and Talha guided me through the whole process with a lot of ideas that I would have never thought of. The complete renovations included a total new design, tile floors, appliances, island, lighting, message center and more. The timeline was met almost to the day. The efficiency and courtesy of those transforming the space was exemplary. Since then Boss Design remodeled my three bathrooms with custom cabinets and granite countertops. I am extremely impressed with this company and would highly recommend them.

Recent Review: MJL did a great job remodeling our Kitchen with new cabinets, granite counter-tops, and sink/faucet. I bought the appliances separately and MJL installed them as well. Price was very reasonable and the quality was top notch. Mike delivered as promised, completing the job before an influx of relatives arrived for our daughter's wedding. We are very pleased with the workmanship and attention to detail. It is rare that you don't find something left incomplete or just not quite right with a remodeling job...but that's exactly what happen with MJL; we are very satisfied! Thanks Mike!

Recent Review: That was super, the work was great. We had a little follow-up issue, but they corrected that. They were responsive, they kept us up to date. The crews were easy to talk with and then when they were done they came by and did a punch list with us for anything that was incomplete. So, I think they were super.

Recent Review: The design process was fairly detailed but several problems with the layout developed: the foyer and the ADA bathroom were flawed and we have then tear out work already done and redo both areas do you did not walk into a closet from front door entrance and the ADA guidelines were met.  The work, plumbing and electric were excellently done.  The master carpenter, John, was excellent to work with.  Two areas we made a mistake about: 1. Expecting them to pick out quality materials such as windows; faucets and other fixtures as we often had them returned and sought out our own materials. 2. Signing a Contract which left many areas such a 1 above to be decided as the remodel moved along with cost budgets. Overall we ended up with a great remodel and are very satisfied with it all; but again one of their fortes was supposedly ceramic tile but the tile in both the kitchen and the bathroom was botch up and done both times in a rushed manner.  The bathroom flaws required some redoing and I have repaired several floor tiles myself. In the end they gave us some breaks on costs to offset all the inconveniences of extended time schedules etc. and we thank them for that. or In summary the process was very frustrating but in the end we ended up with a terrific remodel. I was most unhappy with some of their materials selection and the tile work but carpentry, wood floors, cabinets and granite counters unbeatable.

nWe were persuaded to use Heritage by a last minute adjustment to their bid and the assurance that the work would be completed in 4 weeks because a job had been postponed and they wanted to keep their crew working. We were skeptical based on the scope of work, but as we had to be out of the house and living in a hotel we figured that even if it took that long to finish the portion of work in the downstairs so that we could move back into the house we were fine with that. We were in the hotel for 11 weeks. There was never an explanation or notification of progress. Emails were answered with one line responses and usually only addressed one of several questions. While some of the work, especially the tile work is very nice, some of it is sloppy. We lost count of the nail holes we had to fill in order to paint anything or the amount of caulk we bought to address gaps between windows, door frames, molding etc. No care was taken to avoid damage to personal possessions. Since we were told we could leave things in the basement if we pushed them to one side, we did that. We also mentioned that if it turned out that anything needed to be moved we would be happy to do so if notified. We were never notified, but came to the house to find possessions piled in one room, looking as if they had been tossed there to land as they fell, this included paintings and beds and light fixtures. Nothing was covered and there was drywall mud all over things. Several things were damaged beyond repair. Due to the length of time there was no AC in the house, nine weeks, there is mold damage we are still assessing. Had we been informed at any time that there was a change and we would have no air we could have made decisions based on that information. The floor was not protected and had plumbers seal, purple drips and runs everywhere. When we commented on the state of an area were  told was ready for us to move into, there was some clean up done, however the floor was scraped and is now damaged beyond repair and will have to be replaced. The painters seal was addressed in the bathroom by primer being applied, the stain has come back through. The kitchen cabinets were hung in such a way that the doors could not be opened with the recessed light covers on, so they took the covers off and left them off. When we mentioned the issue  and suggested it would be easier and less unsightly to move the cabinets down an inch rather than move the lighting and have to patch the ceiling we were told it would only be done for an extra charge. We attribute many of the issues to over-extension of their work force, an assessment corroborated by several of the more competent workers. But also the complete and total lack of communication. The overall experience has been nightmarish. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.
