Recent Review: Bathroom is about 8x8. In brief, CT removed and replaced wall and floor ceramic tile, installed cement board floor and walls. Installed new shower door, towel racks (I supplied) and shower hardware (CT supplied). Installed new valve behind shower wall. Reinstalled toilet. Original estimate was 5700 based on standard tiles but I opted for marble which added 2500. Tile crew worked 7 days. On day 8 plumbing crew finished up. Quality of work is A+. Quality of people is A+. Daily cleanup, and hauling away. Had another bathroom remodeled by a big retailer. They sent a jack of all trades guy who I thought did a good job. However, CT takes the craft to a new level. They pointed out errors the retailer guy made. With CT you get a 2 man crew that just does the tile. That's 14 man days of craftwork so you get your money's worth. They also send in a plumbing team where the work requires it. Definitely superior to the jack of all trades approach. You pick the tile you want from a huge selection at 1 of 2 local showrooms. Much better than choosing a limited number of samples from out of a suitcase. The new marble bathroom looks spectacular. Definitely worth the extra $. Lots of compliments.

Recent Review: I love this company. Everyone one I came into contact with from the gentleman who came to give me an estimate, the woman who helped me with the designs and spent a super long time with me on picking out the materials I wanted (not her fault- it was mine- I couldn’t make up my mind), to the men who came out to complete the work- were all wonderful/nice/respectful. Every part of the job was gone over with me. They put up with my crazy dog and were very nice about it. Very responsive to any questions. I love the shower it is so nice to stand and move around in it and not hear creaking noises. The toilet installed is just the right height. I know I picked the paint color- but it looks fabulous. They were kind enough to also let me know about some other issues I needed to fix in the attic that I would have never known I needed to repair. Excellent workmanship. I would and have recommended this company to others.

Recent Review: They didn't actually come out. We went there for the design work. They spent about an hour working with us. It was a totally free design. Then, we purchased the tile from them. The designer was awesome. We appreciated the fact that they spent free time helping us choose the tile. She had a lot of good ideas and she listened to us. She found things that we might not have thought of. She listened to us and provided good options.

ALooney's Tile & Grout
I don’t know where to start! I started my Master Bathroom project with Looney Tile & Grout in July 2017 and ended it in October 2017. To no fault of their own, it took that long. But I have to say, I LOVE THEIR WORK. I spent a lot more monies than intended, but you get what you pay for. Also, I have an older home / recently moved in, so there were some known issues and unknown issues in the bathroom that they took care of for me. I’ll try just to mention the highlights, as it was a long project and so much happened. First, I would like to say, I LOVE AMY!!! I primary dealt with her on my project. She was essentially the project manager / coordinator. I can’t forget Michael Looney, the owner who came out and gave me estimate / proposal. Also, I can’t forget the entire team from tile guys (James / Dustin / Erskin), to plumbers, electricians and general contractor (Dana). Everyone was great. Not perfect, but great. No one is perfect. Two, I had several issues with one of my vendors for bathroom accessories. One of them… Michael / Amy took the lead on that issue for me and due to their hard work, got a credit from that vendor for the item they sent me in the wrong color. Another refund issue with that same vendor, Amy went ahead and credited me a refund, so I didn’t have to have an extended wait on the vendor. Three, communication was great thru the entire project. Communication was a little heavy at the beginning, but it was quickly adjusted and it was great. Three, a special shoot out to James and Dana. James for the fantastic tile work he did in the bathroom! Dana for the great job of putting in all the accessories. With this type of job and duration especially, I couldn’t be there all of the time. I built a professional trust with these guys and they never let me down! One more shot out to Dana for coming to my house several times and working with me to get all the accessories installed just the way I wanted them. He even ensured I got a quote for another project that is needed, unrelated to the bathroom! Lastly, I want to foot stomp, Looney Tile & Grout is not perfect. I don’t think there are any perfect people or businesses, because there were areas of improvement. But as I hope you can tell I am thoroughly please with their work; they did a phenomenal job on my Master Bathroom and I WILL BE USING THEM AGAIN ON MY GUEST BATHROOM!!! They are well worth the money. It is very true what they say….. Bathrooms and kitchens sell homes, don’t skimp on either one of those projects! Don’t forget to check out my before and after pictures.

DAll-N-1 Services Inc
When we first decided to renovate our master bathroom, we looked around for contractors, mainly by asking friends and reading reviews on Angie’s List, narrowing it down to four contractors from which to get quotes. Unfortunately, we had two contractors that never even responded with a quote after coming to meet with us about the project, one that was excessively over budget, and All N 1 Services. They had good reviews on Angie’s List and responded promptly with a scope of work and estimate. We decided to hire them in November, 2016, with a November 14 start date. Our contract stated a December 16 completion date. Unfortunately, when we went to their office to meet with Todd (who had provided our price quote and project scope), he notified us that he was starting his own business and wouldn’t be involved much in our project. And that’s when things started to go bad. Mark, the owner of the company, was to be our project manager, scheduled to start work on November 14. He showed up 2 hours late on the first day and didn’t even know what our project was. We had to go over the entire project again, like starting from scratch. That was the first and only day that Mark showed up at our house, until the very last day. We were told that they would do the demo over a couple of days, then measure for and order the shower pan, which would take approximately 5 days to arrive. They were scheduled to come back on Monday, November 28 (after the Thanksgiving holidays). Supposedly the shower pan didn’t arrive on time, and they didn’t come back to work until December 5. Over the next couple of weeks, plumbing was moved, a wall was partially removed, and tile was installed, and things looked pretty good. The also replaced our kitchen vinyl, which was part of the original scope of work (and the vinyl still has bubbles in it). Progress was very slow, with several days of no work being done at all. Right before Christmas, we selected our countertops, and the vanity and countertop were installed right after Christmas, which was already more than a week past the contracted completion date. Throughout this process, we were never notified of any change orders or additional work that would be needed (except for one item that didn’t need to be done after all). We had all required materials onsite when needed, and there was never a delay on our part, even around the holidays. After New Years, the tile installer had a family emergency and didn’t work for several days. We were very understanding about this, and never complained about the delay. The following week, someone showed up to work maybe one day. So, that was a 2 week period with maybe 1 day of actual work completed. One day we specifically asked if they would be there the next day, and after being told yes and arranging our day around it, they never showed up at all. By the end of that week, Mark texted to ask us what still needed to be done. He had no idea what work had been completed, and we emailed him a list of approximately 15 items that hadn’t been finished, including several big items, such as setting the toilet, caulking around the tub and shower, and installing the shower light. After that, a crew showed up for a couple of days and got many tasks completed in a pretty short amount of time. Unfortunately, they did a pretty crappy job. It was obvious that they were rushing through to get everything completed, and they actually reinstalled the old shower light (even after we had mentioned that light in multiple emails to Mark). That was on a Monday, and Mark texted us to set up a time the following week to go over our punch list. They arrived the following Tuesday, discussed some of the issues with us, and supposedly finished. They left our house key when they left that day, and Mark sent us an invoice first thing the next morning. Here are just a few of the items that weren’t acceptable – gaps in the grout and caulk throughout, no caulk under the marble shower curb and wall, mirrors were hung crooked, wall paint on the trim, trim and ceiling paint on the walls, paint on the brand new tile, grout, and light fixtures, uneven baseboards, very sloppy caulk, and a wall that was painted while the drywall was still wet so there were “holes” in the paint. We emailed Mark and told him that we weren’t paying the invoice until these items were fixed and also asked for the invoice to be adjusted for the parts of the scope of work that we ended up not doing. Mark then sent a text message and said they would be back first thing in the morning. They did come back and fixed the items that we very specifically marked in the bathroom, but some of the items still weren’t quite acceptable, including a plumbing leak under the sink that we discovered shortly thereafter. They also left without thoroughly cleaning up after themselves. These workers pay zero attention to detail. When you are paying someone $15,000 for a bathroom (labor only – we provided most of the materials), you have to assume that they can paint without dripping it everywhere. Who spills paint on a brand new tile floor and just leaves it there to dry? And we could’ve done a better job on the caulk than they did. Approximately 2 weeks after the job was “finished,” we noticed water on our living room ceiling below the bathroom (thankfully we hadn’t mailed the final payment yet). We notified Mark, and they returned 2 days later to look at it. As it turns out, they had installed the toilet incorrectly with the wrong size wax ring, so it was leaking. This of course led to the ceiling below needing to be repaired and repainted. This process took about another week, and they did a good job of repairing the ceiling and repainted all of it. During this process, they also corrected some painting and caulking in the bathroom, so that is much improved from how they had left it a few weeks before. Overall, this project took 17 weeks (including the leak and ceiling repair), when it was supposed to take 4. We asked Mark for a discount since it took so long, and he sent an email basically telling us all the things they should’ve charged us extra for and didn’t. As mentioned earlier, he never communicated any required change orders with us (except one that wasn’t necessary after all), so giving us a discount for work already in the scope isn’t really a discount. We understand that there was one week with a family emergency, but that doesn’t justify being 13 weeks over schedule, with no compensation. We think that All N 1 Services probably does a decent job with the big parts of a renovation, but DO NOT hire them to do painting or any type of detailed work. During the tile installation, our tiles had a slight wavy pattern in them, and several tiles were installed with the pattern in the opposite direction. These were fixed after we pointed them out, but it shows how they don’t pay attention to the details of the work they are doing. We’ve always heard horror stories about contractors – we just never thought we’d actually be part of one, and we would never recommend All N 1 Services to anyone.

DLeo Lantz Construction Inc
I called Leo Lantz to bid on a project in my home. 3 bathrooms, a laundry room and an office (which would be turned into a large pantry). On our first scheduled meeting I sat at home waiting as we passed the scheduled time for 30 minutes before I called to find out where he was. Only to find he had to cancel due to an injury. He told me he sent an email a couple hours earlier, except it was to my work email, of which I did not see, because I was home for the appointment. So we scheduled a new time. During that time, John was wonderful. He was knowledgable and has some great ideas. He said he would have the estimate in 2 weeks. At that time he pushed it out another week and asked that I come to the showroom to pick out options so that he could complete the estimate. We set the appointment. When I showed up, no one was there. I called 3 times and left messages, while I sat there and waited. Finally after 30 minutes, I gave up and left. No one ever called me back afterwards. Waste of time

BCommonwealth Renovations
The visit to do the estimate went well. The written estimate arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The estimate appeared to be thorough but they never followed up with me. I had two other companies provide estimates. In the end had Commonwealth followed up there is a chance I would have hired them, but as it turns out they must have been to busy with other leads they got off their Angie's list AD.
