Recent Review: My home is over 60 years old and needed a new roof. Brock Horton (owner/chief estimator) provided an estimate quickly, and answered all of my questions completely and thoroughly. He carefully explained the work process, provided information about all of the products used, and delivered insurance and license documents before work started. He and his team worked well together and even received compliments from my neighbors about speed and cleanliness of the job. They tore off all 3 layers of old shingles including original underlayment and installed dry in shingles and all accessories (ridge cap, ice and water shield, underlayment, drip edge, flashings). On the 30-year old flat tar and gravel roof, they removed all gravel and installed TPO membrane, TPO dripedge, and all accessories over the old flat roof at my request. They followed my request to recycle/reuse as much material as possible. They removed an old passive solar box and recycled it with the metal. They laid down tarps around the work area, piled the old gravel up for me to reuse as garden path, and leaned 4x8 plywood against the side of the house to use as ramps to move old materials off the roof and into the dumpster. They completely protected windows, doors and outdoor landscaping, kept the attic insulation clean and dry, and kept nails off the driveway. For every instance that I called Brock with a question or a concern, he took the time to completely explain the situation and/or took immediate action to solve it. Salt City Roofers cost was in between the fly-by-night contractor, and the big-box nationwide DIY store contractor. All of the above made a very important and fairly expensive roof replacement a decent experience, and one that I have nothing BAD to say about.
