Recent Review: We are waiting on parts to come in before we actually have them do the job.  We are happy with them.  It is a small job.  They are very professional and knowledgeable.  The other two contractors I contacted never even bothered to get me a price.

Recent Review: Demo completely down to the studs. Moved plumbing in floor to totally change the arrangement of sink, shower, and toliet. Took out ceiling and installed new lighting, shower head, electric and exhaust fan. He even met me at Home Depot to help me pick out hardware, sink, vanity, tile. Quality of work is amazing. He's a perfectionist but effecient. He also finished my kitchen remodel that was started by others that let me down terribly.

Recent Review: Mr. Kauffman is a man of skill, integrity. He kept me updated as to where he was in the work and made sure I approved of each level of work. He is extremely patient, and will take his time to do the project right, and if for some reason (not skill related, but product related), something doesn't turn out as planned, he will return and solve the problem. I felt safe in giving him access to the house, even if no one was home. He is one of the warmest, most honest, most thoughtful, and most pleasant people I have met in many years. I will most certainly use him to do my other bathroom, and complete kitchen remodel. He stayed within the parameters of his original estimate.

Recent Review: Chris was amazing. I was originally planning to do flat pack cabinets, but we talked it through and he built beautiful custom cabinets that I absolutely love for nearly the same price. I went in with drawings of what I wanted and he created a fabulous kitchen for us. I was able to get some creative customized cabinets to maximize our space that I never would have been able to find. Chris was very responsive and helpful with my many questions. He stayed on budget and on his quoted time frame. His crew was also great. We were living in the house while the remodel was going on - there was very little mess or dust across the house. They cleaned up every day and were polite and friendly. We are so happy with our new kitchen!

Recent Review: We wanted to remodel our kitchen at our lakehouse. The cabinets were old seventies style wood and there was ugly old paneling on the walls and furdown. We priced new cabinets at a large hardware store in the area, but they could not deal with the custom aspects of the furdown or move electrical switches that needed to be moved. I found Charles' ad in our local newspaper and called him. He gave me references and everyone loved his work. He suggested, since we were happy with the layout of the kitchen, to leave the base of the cabinets in place and paint and replace the doors. I wanted a glazed antiqued look and Charles did that himself and did a great job. He was very diligent in being there when the countertops were done because we could not be there. He was very responsive. I also wanted a very specific glass tile backsplash and he did executed it very well. All and all, I am thoroughly satisfied with the kitchen, It is incredible.

It went very bad. He got about half way through, when him and his sub-contractor (Candido Meyer) got sideways. Then Candidos sub contractor had a falling out and no one would come back and finish the work. Tony did not do due dilligence in hiring the job out. He could not finish the job. We were down a month before we could get another contractor to come out and fix the job. The last dealing we have had with him is April 7th.

My husband and I have used Tony on a number of occasions. He is our "go-to guy" for any and all home repairs/issues. He and his guys are very hard workers. They get the job done and it always looks great. We did have a bit of an issue with Tony's subcontractor during this particular project. He did not do the work that he said he would do. Tony fired the subcontractor as soon as he realized there was an issue and fixed all of the things he had messed up at no cost to us. The whole project did take a little longer than expected, but that was because Tony had to replace this bad subcontractor mid-job. Overall, we are VERY pleased with our kitchen. It looks incredible. All of Tony's other subcontractors did absolutely superb work. We will continue to use Tony and his guys in the future. I have recommended Tony to many of my friends and he has done great work for them as well. You cannot go wrong by hiring this guy!

AChris Duncanson Custom Carpentry & Remodeling
We really enjoyed working with Chris. He was easy to work with and helped give us advice/tips on many things as this was our first kitchen remodel. We saved a lot of money by not working with a contractor (or Home Depot/Lowe's) and working with Chris because his skills are so versatile and he does much of it himself. We loved that he built it all himself because we were able to do a complete custom kitchen. We had met with Lowe's multiple times and not only were they able to do custom (because pre-fab cabinets), they were also very expensive! We are so pleased with our kitchen and with what we paid. We noticed after the project was complete that some of the wood grain on the upper cabinets was peeking through (he painted our cabinets white). We called him and he came out, took the uppers with him, repainted them, and brought them back with no wood grain showing! We were very impressed with that because our project was complete and he had many other projects on his plate. That confirmed that we will definitely be using Chris in the future.

FSignature Home Improvements
We found this company to be uncooperative. We were informed that the owner, Jason Flippo (whom we never met), is reluctant to break down bids either by trade or by individual projects.  For example, they wouldn't give us a separate number for the roof, another for the kitchen, another for resurfacing/railing the deck, etc. (none of which are related to the other and could be done by 3 separate contractors).   So we gave them one small component to bid on (kitchen cabinets). Their bid for custom oak cabinets was 50% more than bids we have received for exotic bamboo!!  We have done extensive homework and have a clear idea as to what we want and how much this project should cost.  Signature was off the charts in their bid for the one small component, and combined with the lack of knowledge and experience exhibited by the sales person that was sent out, made the first cut from our list.  Interestingly, though, as with Signature, we encountered at least one other contractor that wasn't willing to provide a detailed bid, they just wanted to give us one big number and then close our eyes and "trust" them to know what we want.  My husband and I don't operate that way, neither do other contractors. The approach of this firm is so unprofessional that I started feeling sympathy for their salesman who was trying very hard to work around the deficiencies of his employer.
