Dan Connelly arrived on time and as agreed to give us a quote to install a 7000sq ft asphalt driveway at our property. From that point on, it was all downhill! Throughout the whole job he would constantly not turn up when he promised he would, would come for a day and then be absent for several days, refused to answer his phone, he was hardly ever contactable! Finally when he did turn up to do the laying of the asphalt, they spent all day but started to run out of light and because they were rushing to try and complete the driveway, the surfacing of the asphalt was left with ridges all over it. To make matters worse, by the time Dan realized that he had misjudged the amount of asphalt that would be required, the asphalt company was closed so they couldn't complete the work that day. Dan arrived the next day with only two workers who were inexperienced, only ordered half a truck of asphalt which was still not enough to complete the driveway and because the inexperienced workers didn't rake it properly and they were rushing the finish was not the same as the previous day so it looks like a totally different driveway on one side than the other. Promising to come back to complete the work, Dan left machinery on our neighbors property for weeks and after daily phone calls from myself and my husband, he finally came and moved it onto the road outside our home. He then left it there for so long that our HOA sent us a number of letters. Finally the police put a 'warning of removal' notice on the old machinery and Dan turned up on the day of removal and took the machinery away promising faithfully that he would return in 7 days to complete the work. He never did. Dan was paid in cash as agreed, all based on previous reviews that painted him in a light of trust. So disappointed, our trust in Dan, All American Asphalt (and Angie's List to an extent) has been irrevocably damaged.

ADamon's Asphalt Paving
Damon and his crew overlayed 170 feet of driveway. Our old asphalt was badly deteriorated with bare spots and low places. Starting with the bid process, Damon was very professional and honest. Where other contractors had told me things I knew to be untrue regarding sealing the asphalt, Damon was straigt forward, explaining what needed to be done and when. He explained things that I could do myself, if I didn't want to pay him to do it, and estimated the material I would need to purchase. They showed up ontime, prepared and completed the job as they had described. The job was done well. Where some of my neighbors have complained about the quality of their asphalt work being uneven and wavy, Damon filled all low places prior to the overlay then rolled the driveway until it was smooth and even. Overall an excellent job.

ALeavings Concrete Co
To be honest I have been considering how to provide a recommendation now for a few weeks as this has been one of the most incredibly pleasant and rewarding experiences we have had with a contractor in quite some time. I'm sure in the end I'll come up short trying to explain what a great experience this was for us. I'm a manager at a local software development company here in the area and have to say that if my contractors had the same approach as Don did with projects, customer service and attention to detail they would not have an issue being incredibly productive and successful. My wife and I found Don and his company Leavings Concrete Company by calling a local Concrete supplier based on a recommendation from someone online. He was our third bid on a job to replace our outdated and falling apart asphalt driveway. At the time I had pressed my wife to get a third estimate. Felt like we didn't have a good feel on value we were getting from the estimates. In retrospect really glad that we ended up getting a third quote! Don was incredibly prompt and professional showing up for his estimate appointment. He was not the cheapest of the three (he was squarely in the middle) but from the outset added on additional items into the project providing even more value such as re-doing our pathway to front of house as well as re-pouring our front stoop. We opted for concrete simply due to how long it would last. The week he started his crews ended up having to work a bit longer the first two days due to weather that was coming. Although he could have waited he opted to get the concrete poured before the rain got here and possibly have an issue with the base under the driveway. I was amazed by how quick and efficient his crews were and also noted that he kept checking in with them. Not that he had to but more just a healthy back and forth on how the project was going. This included discussions on widening the driveway in certain places as well as accounting for proper drainage/etc. In the end the work product was amazing. Windowpanes, a completely redone top to our end of driveway berm. It all looked great. And just like he did throughout the project Don was there at the end inspecting and looking at the finished work product. One advantage of the rain coming in was that we did get a hard shower and were able to see how efficient the drainage was on the driveway. I didn't realize how much asphalt is able to absorb water - concrete is not this way and after the hard rain there were no spots/puddles - everything drained as it should have. Hope this review is helpful to others. It is great to see also that there are people out there like Don that own their own businesses that do a great job and provide impressive customer service throughout. It gives me hope that for other work we have yet to do on our house we can find similar contractors.

Came out and quoted the new asphalt part I needed paved. I agreed to quote. Then when they came out to do the job, they said to do it right I needed to them pave over part of the old paving to make it drain correctly. That extra almost doubled the price I just wish they had discussed that recommendation before they showed up to do the work. Because of this I felt pressured to do it. On a positive,I wanted to put a drain sump w/ 30ft of 4"line across underneath the new paving and they agreed to dig the trench for it and install it at no extra charge which has worked out great. Cash sale. There was no paper bid, no receipt except for my canceled check.

FPaveCo Asphalt Paving
I contacted PaveCo Asphalt Paving to have them construct an asphalt driveway at my residential property. I scheduled a time for the company to visit my property to develop a cost estimate to perform the work. After receiving the estimate, I contacted the service provider via telephone and via email to schedule the work. However, my phone calls and emails were ignored and the company never replied to any of my attempts to get make contact with them. This was frustrating and wasted my time.

ABlue Wave Home Services
The team called when they were about an hour out to tell me they would be at my house in about an hour. Showed up just as expected and did a demo on the floors, my grout did not come as clean as I wanted, but turned out it is a darker grout than I thought it was. Went with the cleaning and amazed at how much better the entire floor looks. Afterwards, they mopped on sealant on the entire floor and as I left out yesterday it looked great. They also asked if I would like my driveway cleaned, for a charge of course. They did a sample and with the sample it was painfully obvious it needed to be done! They cleaned and sealed the driveway and it looks 100% better. Glad they talked me into it. They also recommended some other cleaning they can do for us, which I very well may look into in the fall. Roof, deck, house etc. Overall, great experience from the first call to the final labor and invoice. I would recommend these guys any day.

AWHATLEY'S ASPHALT PAVING
Mr. Whatley returned my phone call the same day I made my initial call. He was very polite over the phone as I tried to explain all that needed to be done on my property. I already had a circular asphalt driveway that was old, uneven, cracking, and in need of repair, including a 3-car carport. There are 2 exits to my property, including an electric gate. I called to ask for an estimate or a driveway to accommodate a second home on the property, and to create a sidewalk from the driveway to the side door. Johnny Whatley came out the next day to give us an estimate on what we thought we needed. Johnny was so easy to talk to and so friendly that I trusted him. I told him that we had found his company on Angie's List and decided to give them a try. Johnny was able to explain what he felt was best for our situation and how he would go about doing it. He explained everything and answered all our questions. Within 2 days they had started the project and in 2 more days they were finished. The work was stellar - the workers were all polite, clean and friendly. They didn't leave a mess in the yard, which I appreciated. Just because Johnny was a great guy, he said that if we would buy some dirt to level the yard, he would have his guys roll over it and flatten the yard out, as well as properly place some paving stones that we love to trip on. Johnny cared about our situation and what we needed, then helped us get it. What a huge relief to know that this project is done and without a care or worry because Mr. Whatley was in charge.

I had called multiple companies to get a quote for asphalt repairs. Many didn't even return the call (one from Angie's List). After getting in contact with Longhorn Paving I made an appt for a quote. Bobby was very professional and courteous and unlike some other companies, returns phone calls. Most importantly....he shows up at the appt time! We received several quotes and decided to use his company. He arrived on time and did a fantastic job. I am happy with his work and will definitely use him again. Use Longhorn Paving and you won't be disappointed.

Recent Review: After I called and left my name and number he called me the next day. I told him I wanted to do an asphalt driveway and he recommended a chip and seal. He worked with me to get the work done as quickly as possible even though I was waiting for a financing loan. He is wicked awesome! Very old school, shake your hand, kind of guy! I would highly recommend using this provider!
Business Description: My business is a family own business. If we are sealing your Asphalt. Or putting in a brand new driveway. Rest a sure that it will be done right. And it will be done in a professional manor. I get the Sealer from a Seal plant. Not from a 5 gallon bucket thats been setting on a shelve. or in a warehouse waiting to be sold. What sealer does is it gets down in all the layers of the driveway. And it bonds with the driveway. and once it drys/hardens its going to prevent the asphalt from breaking off. Or aging quickly from the sun's UV rays. And turning the driveway grey. That you spent good money on. In other words just protecting your investment like you would do anything esle
