Business Description: With Certified Plumbing the professional coming to your home will have 20+ years of plumbing experience. You can count on straight forward pricing and a personal commitment to quality as our work is a reflection of us. Give us a call and you'll see what a low-overhead plumbing service can save you. Certified Plumbing Supports Energy and Water Conservation For Example: Tankless water heating systems are revolutionizing the way modern homes meet their water heating needs. These compact units can produce and supply endless streams of hot water to multiple outlets at once without any fluctuation in temperature. Because conventional water tanks heat and store hot water around the clock, you are heating and re-heating water, and constantly losing energy. A tankless water heater only comes on when you start to use hot water, and immediately shuts off when you are done, so you are not wasting energy. Tankless water heaters have much more effective heat exchanger and burner systems than conventional tanks. This allows you to utilize a much higher percentage of your energy. So much so that there is up to a $300 Federal Energy Tax Credit when you purchase one for your home and for certain residents, TX Gas Service provides a rebate up to $300. Modern tankless units cost more than conventional tank type water heaters, but are a better value. The energy saved typically results in payback in a few years or less. They save money every day, provide a high level of performance and safety, and last twice as long as a normal tank type heater. They save floor space and have a unique flexibility to be placed in locations closer to points of use to further cut energy cost and reduce water consumption. Trip Charge/Estimate: $39.00 - Deducted from final price if you choose Certified Plumbing to complete the work. The Plumber coming to your home will have 20+ years of plumbing experience. You can count on straight forward pricing, a commitment to quality as our work is a reflection of us. Give us a call and you'll see what a low-overhead plumbing service can save you.

Recent Review: This was the BEST EXPERIENCE we've ever had WITH ANY CONTRACTOR of any type, EVER.  I would recommend them to anyone for any of the services they offer. Initially, I chose Jack Lehr due to their response to a previous review.  The fact that the president of the company would take the time to respond to the review meant he cares about the reputation of his company and the satisfaction of his customers.  His assertion that they charge by the job and not by the hours spent at a site, and that they follow through with the job until it is completed to the reasonable satisfaction of the customer, demonstrated ethical business practices and integrity. From the moment I placed the call to request an evaluation of our furnace, I felt confident in my decision to employ Jack Lehr Heating Cooling & Electric.  The receptionist was genial, polite, and accommodating.  Other companies have implied that loyal or repeat customers receive better or more immediate service.  Jack Lehr seemed to value my business with the same quick attention and excellent service that a loyal, repeat customer might otherwise receive.  We called in the midst of sub-zero temperatures and with several feet of snow accumulated on the property.  I imagine a heating company was rather busy amid such conditions, but we were able to get same-day service, and sub-sequent emergency installation of the requisite replacement furnace. We had 3 different service appointments and 1 sales appointment with Jack Lehr technicians, and every employee arrived immediately when they stated they would.  The service appointments were quoted as beginning between 0730am and 0800am, and technicians arrived at 0730 on the dot.  The salesman (for the replacement furnace) promised to arrive by 1430, and so he did. Extreme care was taken to protect our surfaces and furnishings, including boot covers and drop-cloths.  I shamefully admit our basement is messy, and I think it was actually cleaner when the gentlemen left than when they arrived. Initial technician diagnosed malodor as result of cracked heat exchanger, resulting in dangerous Carbon Monoxide levels throughout the house.  Thank goodness they perform Carbon Monoxide testing, as not all companies are equipped/certified to do so.  I was instructed to open windows to vent the house, and he was forced to disable the furnace.  He informed me that the heat exchanger was broken and that the furnace would require either a new heat exchanger or a replacement of the entire appliance.  He stated that their salesman was available to speak to me regarding my options, and fortunately he could arrive within the hour. The salesman was wonderful.  He was a former technician, thus he had the technical expertise to accompany his complete familiarity with the high quality products they carried.  I was provided with several options at various price points, and additional a la carte upgrades were also offered.  Moreover, he offered to remove the pesky, unused humidifier - a legacy from the previous homeowner - gratis.  He left for about an hour to draw up contracts, and I was given time to do a little internet research on the products he had offered.  When he returned, I felt confident in my decision to purchase certain products and refuse others which we couldn't immediately fit into our budget.  I was especially happy to have modern, energy-efficient options, to which we did choose to upgrade.  We were also loaned some space heaters to keep the house safe and comfortable until the new furnace could be installed. - a huge relief, as the temperature reached -1 that night! All employees whom we met were very friendly, seemed extremely knowledgeable and competent, and demonstrated high integrity.  They all seemed to like their jobs and sincerely care about the quality of their work and the customers' comfort and satisfaction.  The technicians took the time to completely review the work with me, even taking the time to show me the cracked heat exchanger.  Numerous complimentary upgrades were thoughtfully included in the service, much to my delight: replacement of the original water hose (which was dirty and moldy, but still functional) and a complete replacement of the old exhaust pipe (an unattractive pipe, which was replaced by a modern, attractive combination exhaust/air-intake system).  The gentleman who installed it had to repeatedly traipse through several feet of solid snow-pack, for which we are completely grateful and humbled. We are completely satisfied with the new furnace.  It is quiet, efficient, and warm.  The old furnace only heated the air to 90 degrees.  If I remember correctly, the technician tested this one at 120 degrees.  The humidifier was quickly removed and the area patched beautifully.  Jack Lehr Heating Cooling & Electric will forever have our endorsement and gratitude.

Recent Review: Got some help recently from Stephen Randall, the owner of the business. He gave me his time generously, i.e. he fielded over the phone some questions I had, in a sympathetic manner. (English translation: he's a nice guy :) A few days later when I called him over, he came as soon as he could and fixed my A/C issue that day. Charges were very reasonable. I very much appreciated how Mr. Randall helped me out that week-end, and certainly intend to call him the next time there's a HVAC issue at my house.

Recent Review: We had some problems with our AC drain lines backing up. We managed to clean out the lines, but we still wanted an inspection to make sure we got everything taken care of. We called to schedule on Wednesday and got an afternoon appointment for Thursday. Frank came out at the appointed time and got to work. He inspected the work that we'd done, and gave a more thorough inspection to the heat exchanger coils, drip pan and drain lines. All the while he was a font of information on the best way to maintain the system and tell if it's in good working order. After all our kibitzing and the work that he did only charged us for a standard service call. All in all, we are very happy with the service and will use Longhorn HVAC again if we need to call service.

Recent Review: I left a message for emergency service. Within just a few minutes I received a call back from a tech that was in the area. He stopped by after he finished his previous service call and advised the cost of the service call.. I couldn't tell if the leak was from the roof, the a/c or a water pipe in the area. The senior tech, Robert, was able to figure out the water appeared to be coming down inside the furnace flue on the roof., into the heat exchanger frame, and leaking slowly out of the furnace heat exchanger. We had not had any problems during all the rain this summer until this afternoon when we had some horizontal rain from the strong wind. Robert was excellent and Efficient will be my first choice again if I ever need heating or a/c service.

Recent Review: There was too much ice on the heat exchanges to do anything.  So the technician provided a thorough analysis of the situation and had a recommend course of action.  The heat exchange for the upstairs had a defective defrost board and/or defective defrost thermostat.  this lead to a solid wall of ice on the heat exchange. By turning the inside thermostat (the regular one for the house) to emergency heat we could go back to feeling warm without concern of damaging heat pump.  When the temperature thaws and the ice melts, the work of replacing the defrost board and defrost thermostat can be scheduled. The technician also recommended an annual inspection for our house for $250.  Twice a year, they would come to the house to check the heating and AC.  We had been thinking about this, so his recommendation seemed timely. What made the service call unique was that the technician did not try to upsell us.  When we asked if we could delay the work, he agreed that it was a prudent course of action.  The heat pump is not useful in 30 degree weather anyway, so we'd be spending money we would not have to. At least in this time frame. Same was true for the service contract.  Since he was just out to inspect the heat, not a whole lot more would be done with a winter inspection.  So, again, waiting to the Spring was a better choice. This act of honesty encourages me to return to McCullough.  When people say what they are going to do, do it and there's a fair price, then why not return?

Recent Review: For over two years, we endured an annoying furnace vibration that carried throughout the house through the duct system.  We called another furnace service last season and the only solution offered was to buy a new furnace.  We continued suffering through the noise until last week when we called Custom Temperature Control.  They came to the house promptly and diagnosed the problem to be worn out mounts on the inducer motor.  Further inspection revealed some cracks in the heat exchanger which was still under a 20 year Bryant warranty.  Replacing the furnace was also an option, but we elected to pay the labor for the motor mounts and heat exchanger replacement.  The work was completed in two hours and the vibration is gone.

ACustom Temperature Control
It went great. The technician they sent out (Mo), was great, friendly, courteous, and professional. He showed me what needed to be replaced, and explained why it had problems (design problems). He also explained how it could be prevented in the future. I had been using a "re-usable" filter, and it was not being cleaned properly, and was causing the heat exchanger to get too hot. He said, I'm better off using the disposable filters. I bought some more and hopefully won't have this problem again.

AFaught Service Company
Faught had previously installed our upper-floor heating and ac system. We were very happy with them. So there was no surprises with this job. The crew that did the work was quick, courteous and professional. Don Faught himself came in and inspected the work, reviewed the final paperwork and discussed the warranty options and terms.
