Recent Review: Everything went very well. From the initial visit with their salesman Mike, to the stair and door installers everything was handled professionally. Our stairs and door were installed at different times, which they told me they would be when we placed the order. Both sets of installers arrived at their scheduled time, worked hard, and kept things clean and picked up. They both knew what they were doing and our door fits perfectly. The stairs and door are beautiful! We couldn't be happier.
Recent Review: From the initial consultation to the very end of this project, Clint (K2 Stairs) was professional, responsive and I was very impressed with the quality of the work. My friends are simply amazed at how gorgeous my staircase turned out and I would recommend Clint and K2 Stairs to anyone in the future. I would very much like to attach photos to share his work, but cannot seem to locate how to do this function.
Recent Review: Chris and his team are true craftsmen. I have done many remodeling jobs and this complete remodel of a 5000 sq ft historic home on Swiss Ave in Dallas is my own residence and labor of love for over a year now. I brought Chris in to rebuild a gorgeous main staircase because we raised the landing where the stairs turned at the top. I was VERY concerned about the job because it's a focal point of the entrance and couldn't be happier with the job done by Chris and his team. We worked off and on for months as the job progressed and he was always there when he said he would be, was honest in his price and work ethic, and did an outstanding job. If you want someone cheap to come and do a cheap job, Chris is not your guy. But if you want a fair price for craftsman work, I'd recommend him without hesitation.
I selected DOTS based on the positive reviews on Angie's List and I was not disappointed. Shane provided us an estimate within 2 days of our request and was able to do our repairs within a week. I really appreciated the fact that although I originally asked him to give an estimate for the replacement of two attic staircases, he was honest enough to let us know that one staircase we were considering replacing was actually sturdy and the damaged portion could be simply repaired with parts from the attic staircase he really felt needed replacing. This saved us quite a bit of money. Shane and his helper did a wonderful job installing and repairing our attic stairs. We were so pleased with the job that Shane did that we have requested additional estimates for other projects we need done around the house. We will definitely be calling Shane again.

OUTSTANDING experience. He made excellent suggestion on best staircase to purchase, had to customize opening in ceiling and install stairs. He actually had to make more than one trip to the house, as the company we purchased the stairs from originally sent wrong ones. The new stairs are wonderful, extremely solid, and a FAR better attic access solution than our ladder! After stairs were installed, we asked James to come back and lay flooring in attic so we could use the storage space. He made three separate trips to the house...one to measure flooring, one to drop off the wood, and final trip to install. Work was very well done, he was extremely courteous and thorough. We are very happy with both the work and our decision to use Handy Dad. We have no hesitation in recommending James, and would definitely call him first for any future work!!!

Fantastic job. From the beginning Bret was very helpful. He brought samples of the various finishes of wrought iron replacement poles and the shoes that go on the bottom of the poles to our home. We were able to use the Grand Stairway web site to pick the style / pattern of wrought iron we wanted. Bret was great on follow up phone calls and was punctual on the day he did the work - arriving on time and finishing in the time he said it would take. While here, he was very respectful and professional. He cleaned up the interior mess from the demolition of the old stair as well as the garage where he cut the poles to size. However, the most important part is the very professaional work which was completed and we love the final results. We would highly recommend Garnd Stairways to anyone replacing or renovating a staircase.

AHandy Jack Services
They replaced an attic staircase with a high quality aluminum staircase rated for 350+ pounds. They were half the price of other bidders and they sent two very professional, friendly people to do the job. I couldn't be happier. I will be calling Handy Jack whenever I have a problem in my home.

All I can say is "Wow!" I talked with Alex on Thursday, emailed photos of my existing staircase, looked at options he pointed out in his showcase, made my pattern selections, and voila, I had a quote. The very next morning, Alex and his brother Bret were in my home, exactly when they said they'd be, and by 1PM, I had an incredible new wrought-iron staircase. It is amazing! From boring to brilliant in hours. . . .Alex and Bret are great to work with, quiet (I work from a home office feet from the stairs and was not disturbed), convivial, professional and attentive to detail. They clean up as they go, so there's no dust flying and nothing left to sort out when they leave. I wish every home remodeling company would be this attentive, this professional, this pleasant and this punctual! The price was great, the work was beautiful and the entire experience was exceptional. I have already recommended Alex to several friends and would call on these guys again in a heartbeat.

Handyman grossly underestimated project requirements - misunderstood project involved removing existing attic fan and ceiling louvers and adjusting opening to accommodate stair assembly. Worked only two hours on first day because he had scheduled other projects; similar occurrences during the project. Entire project required 15 billed hours and five visits to my home. Job not fully completed, as "I don't know how to apply texture to new wall [Sheetrock] surfaces." Does not listen closely to homeowner wishes/instructions, NOT detail oriented. Note: This service provider shown in two listings under "Handyman" - Roger's Rent-A-Hubby and ROGER'S RENT-A-HUBBY (all caps, underlined) - both at same address.

He was knowledgeable, prompt and even washed down all the concrete dust. He very carefully shielded the walls, plants, sidewalk, etc. for overspray.

AFinal Touch Flooring
Clayton was completely professional from the time I first met him. He was the only one of the people giving us quotes who talked about having the wood in the house for at least two weeks to acclimate to the humidity and temperature so the wood wouldn't buckle. He and his team were excellent. They showed up when they said they would. They completely rebuilt my staircase, tore out the carpet and replaced it with solid hardwood flooring. I am amazed that the floor does not creak or squeak at all. The quality was amazing. They reviewed the work and fixed any spots that needed touchup. It completely changed the look of our house. We are very happy with the results and the excellent quality of the work. We love our new look! We plan to use Clayton again to refurb our downstairs hardwood flooring. I can highly recommend them.

Kirk was really great to work with when it came to my project. His objective was to make the customer happy and he did. He was on time and completed the project in a timely manner. He worked on our project for a full day. When he came across an obstacle he allowed us plenty of time to make a decision. Also if we had an issue or question while performing the project he would make the change no questions asked. You will be very happy with your end product. If you are looking to get your stairs stained I would still work with him and get a bid from a painter. No one will come close to his quotes. And I mean this in a good way. Remember he does not stain but his quotes are a lot lower than others and you get a great product
