Recent Review: AHS Took care of everything and the service companies they sent were all first class. The schedule to fix or replace was always to our liking fiting our schedule. Our list of needs were as follows Garage Door Opener fixed Microwave replaced Microwave repaired Sump Pump repaired. Hot Water Heater Replaced All were taken care of with no harm to us or our schedule They are a great company and stand behind there contract.
Recent Review: Annie responded to our initial inquiry very promptly. She came out to our house, evaluated what needed to be repaired, and provided us an estimate within 24 hours. We scheduled service for the next week to fill up a doggie door in the living room wall. This involved tearing out some wood and patching both the drywall interior and the Hardi-Plank exterior. Then they painted and blended it so well we can not even notice where the hole used to be from the inside. We also asked them to repair another segment of Hardi-Plank with the leftover pieces which they did no problem. They also added weather-stripping to our front door and re-added molding strips to our kitchen cabinets. She had specialized workers who each handle particular things - drywall, hardi-plank, painter, etc. All in all, we were very pleased and plan to use Annie again for future work.
After over 2 months and paying $150 more so that my microwave could be replaced with another stainless steel model (warranty only covers basic black or white models), I now have a new stainless steel microwave sitting in my kitchen floor. When I called AHS, the 1st words out of their mouth was "We are not liable and there is a fee to restock" Cancelling my policy with them and still having to pay more for someone else to install my microwave. I have taken 4 days off of work over the past 2 months for these repairs to be made and am being told that I need to hire a handyman to make adjustments so that they can install the microwave which they assured me would work with no problems. Not a trustworthy company and are only looking out for themselves.

I had bought a microwave and they came over to install it. Turns out this microwave hangs lower than the other one. They had to change the tile. They did a wonderful job.

Mr. Rakin (hope it is right) was on time and was very courteous. They were able to do the installation one day after my call.

The electrician walked away with my screwdriver. It's no big deal, but I do want it back. The company has promised to return it, so we'll see. They say they charge by the job; it could have been more, but the microwave could have been fixed, too. They focused the "job" of fixing my breaker, not the "job" of fixing the microwave. Cost here excludes small charge for parts.

AWalker Home Improvements
I wanted to install a kitchen exhaust vent for an over-the-range (OTR) microwave oven. Space in my kitchen is limited so a range hood was not an option. I had to work with my existing OTR microwave configuration which made the best possible use of the existing kitchen space. The blower in my microwave oven was currently operating in recirculate mode - meaning nasty fry odors from the stove were just being blown back into the kitchen. You could tell what was cooking from the second floor! Fortunately, the microwave oven is attached to an outside wall - which made it feasible to install the ducting necessary for an exhaust vent to the outside. After seeking some quotes I decided to go with Walker Home Improvement for the project. With advice from Robert Walker, I bought duct parts (6" round) and an exhaust vent cover (with critter guard) from Home Depot. I had even bought an exhaust vent adapter for my GE microwave ([*** Link removed ***] ahead of time (in case it was needed). Installation was tricky due to unanticipated obstacles - there was gas pipe hidden in the wall that the duct had to go around, and an electrical outlet abutted the transition from microwave to duct. The shortest path to the outside was a horizontal route which I wanted to avoid because it would require making a hole in brick veneer. So the duct first went vertically up into the ceiling crawl space for a short distance before emerging horizontally through the siding and terminating at the exhaust hood. An access panel had to be cut into the ceiling crawlspace to route the duct. Robert did an excellent job navigating every obstacle. The drywall was cut to shape, replaced, and re-textured. All gaps were sealed and caulked. The work was completed in two days (I had not required priming and paining). I highly recommend Robert Walker, especially for similar projects. His work is thorough and professional, and he knows what he is doing! After the project was completed I installed the "microvisorhood" ([*** Link removed ***] which greatly enhances exhaust effectiveness when using the front burners! ([*** Link removed ***] It is also easy to remove when not required.

First time using them.? They installed a new patio door, and a built-in microwave.? The microwave project was much more involved than it sounds, as it involved lots of custom-cabinetry work, venting through the ceiling, etc. They were not cheap, but not too expensive either.? Several things really impressed me, though.? The owner (Scott) was very diligent and organized when it came to preparing the quote.? He made sure we both understood exactly what was to be done. Once the workers showed up, Scott introduced me to the lead guy on the job, walked through the job with me to review with the lead, then let them get to work.? The two men working on my project were very, very considerate -- putting down construction paper everywhere, tidying up before leaving each day, etc.? What really impressed me, though, was the end result.? I have never seen such attention to detail with this kind of work.? Count me as extremely pleased. I would strongly recommend them.

Dan is THE MAN!!! Everything was completed in a professional and timely manner. Dan was clean and very mindful of how my house was taken care of during his services. I think it was even cleaner when he left than when he got there! That's a huge pet peeve of mine - it just speaks volumes about a business owner. My kitchen is now absolutely GORGEOUS! I would recommend Dan to anyone - actually have referred a co-worker. Dan is going to remain my 'go-to' man for all the upgrades and renovations I want done in my home. I have a list and he will be doing the work. No job is too big or too small for him.
