Business Description: We are a true family owned and operated business. We perform all the work for every project ourselves. The only work we subcontract is our granite projects which is done for us by one subcontractor we have been working with for a couple of years.
Business Description: I provide handyman services to my area for homeowners and businesses. I have years of experience repairing all facets of home ownership, and can make improvements as needed. Recent work includes ceiling fan installation, upgrading and installing electrical outlets, repairing exterior window leaks, replacing cooktops, and repairing sheetrock damage. My business is small, and oriented toward customer satisfaction. My service fee for initial assessment is $40, with a quote based on the type of work. An example of this would be like replacing an electrical cooktop for $50, figuring it would take one hour to replace. Ceiling fan installation is $50 for one fan, and $80 for two fans. I pride myself on providing the best work possible, with an attention to detail that will exceed expectations. My background includes work in manufacturing environments, providing quality management services and systems, and helping organize and streamline work tasks. I would be happy to provide my clients with a quality job.

Recent Review: Having done business previously with Veteran Electric, I knew what to expect and got exactly what I expected. "Doc" arrived as scheduled, assessed the situation, and suggested an easier means of adding the electrical outlet than I had in mind. "Doc" explained what he was doing, was careful to insure no damage was done to the house in the surrounding work area, cleaned up the area when he finished, and made sure the work conformed to code. Advised me that even if the outlet he tapped for power to the new outlet went bad, the new outlet would continue to have power. I'm very happy with the finished product!
Recent Review: I bought coupon for 2 hrs of electrical service. Had 2 exterior outlets installed. Installation went well. Cut through interior drywall to access wiring to connect new outlet, did not expect that- but not too hard to repair myself.
Recent Review: We were worried they would have to re-wire the whole room, which would have cost a lot more, and created a horrible mess. They listened to our opinion and did everything they could to avoid this. In the end there was only one hole cut for the outlet, and there was almost no mess. The job only took a half hour to complete, and we have had no problems with the new outlet.
They replaced outlets and switches. They did pretty well! He was spot on, prompt, and very professional.

I had to purchase a new oven/range and when it was delivered, we discovered the original oven/range was hard-wired to the house. The delivery company could not remove it, and said to contact an electrician for removal as well as installing an electrical outlet for the new range. Surman Electric had good reviews and competitive rates. I made an appointment, and they were on time and professional. They disconnected the oven/range and installed the new outlet according to safety regulations. They noted the microwave was also hard-wired to the house and prepared the wires in the event it would need to be replaced in the future. The cost was lower than I expected, so I asked if they wouldn't mind looking at the outlet in the back yard. It was not mounted properly and hanging. They secured the outlet. I was very pleased with their service. They did more than I expected and priced less than what competitors had quoted for just one of the items.

The job went perfectly! Jimmy Russell is a master electrician and a delightful person. We recently moved into a 12-year old home, and have added a swimming pool, an outside porch, and several electrical outlets in our garage, as well as a whole-house surge protector. The outlets were dedicated lines for a pottery kiln, a high efficiency air conditioner, a dedicated circuit for a wine vault, and a couple of regular 110 outlets. I have done some electrical work myself, but this project was too big. Jimmy did a terrific job. Everything was done to code and looks very professional (better than the builder's electrician). Great pricing, terrific "bed side manner," and top notch service. We will only call B&H for our future electrical needs.

I ran into a snag when installing a new clothes dryer. This old house had the wrong kind of outlet and the dryer could not be hooked up. I called Jeff Weissman and he got back to me in less than 20 minutes. I told him my problem - he was at lunch at the time. He came over within 30 minutes and put in the new outlet with no trouble. We were just about out of clean clothes! So, he saved the day here. Very nice, professional, prompt, courteous, clean - everything you could ask for. It was a small job, but it was important to us and Jeff understood that and helped right away.

CRight Touch Electrical
The issue here was cost. The electrician that arrived was on-time, pleasant and very professional. But almost $500 to install one electrical outlet about 2 feet below another electrical outlet just seemed excessive! (And that was with a discount!)
