Recent Review: He started doing that 2 times ago. He is doing a good job so far. I have 2/3s of an acre with a garage, a workshop and a small garden shed that he weed wacks around plus the house. He forgot to weed wack around a couple of my trees.
Recent Review: Dione was very prompt and her entire team was very friendly and professional. She had terrific ideas and made smart choices for our shade garden. The work went quickly and she handled all of the phases of the project with ease. She stuck to the original budget and we are very pleased with the work. She completely transformed our yard.

Recent Review: The landscaping in our front yard was very overgrown and hard to manage. We wanted to clean up the overall look of the yard. After heavy snows broke some of the tree limbs in the front yard we decided it was time. Steven came out and did the initial consultation / estimate. He spent a good amount of time looking over things and making suggestions. His initial suggestion was an aggressive approach to remove most of the plants in the front landscape. Due to the cost and my reluctance to have such a major overhaul done with a company I haven't used before, I decided to scale back the work. Steven was able to give me recommendations that fit our goals. Overall they did a good job. The work was done quickly and neatly with only one sprinkler line broken (which they took care of after a couple of calls). The before and after difference in the landscape was very satisfying. Our yard didn't look like a jungle anymore. A year and a half later, nearly all of the plants have survived, except for a couple of smalls perennials have survived. In hindsight I probably would have gone with something other than carolina jessamin by the front door (their recommendation). It smells good, but creeps into the other plants and is hard to control. My only minor complaint had to do with the removal of the small river rock that filled all of our beds. The previous owner used it as a weed blocker, but it didn't work and only made the weeds harder to pull. I paid Absolutely Bushed to remove the rock from the beds before before putting down mulch. They did remove most of the rock (even saved some in the planter bins for a side project I was doing), however they left quite a bit of rock behind. I find myself pulling several large handfuls of rock out of the beds every time I weed. Maybe I'm being too picky. I think this might just be a case of unclear expectations. I was also hoping for a bit more guidance when it came to the post-installation care. I think most homeowners would hate the thought of dumping a bunch of money into a new landscape without knowing how to care for it. I think Absolutely Bushed could improve their business by giving their customers better written information / guidelines on when to fertilize / prune etc (they could even slap advertisements on it for their maintenance services). I receive their email newsletters, but I only receive two a year and the care information in the emails isn't very specific. Overall I would recommend them as the quality of their work was good. If I were to do it again, I would probably check other prices/estimates before beginning the work.
Recent Review: I wanted to talk with her about one of the shrubs I paid $150 for and I can't reach her. She transplanted some plants and I had questions about watering. I wanted to keep them healthy and had questions about some of the signs the plants were exhibiting (like brown leaves etc). She claims to be a master gardener. She may be a master gardener but I find her totally irresponsible. If you agree to do a job you should keep your word about what you say you are going to do. She said three times that she'd be out and she's never come out.
My wife met Carrie at a Master Gardening class and we asked her to give us some ideas. We ended up completely redoing our yards and building exactly the garden of our dreams!

After confirming they would do the lawn on the side of our house behind the fence, they failed to do so saying that is not part of our yard. In addition, their aeration was not done in a systematic way. Parts of our lawn were highly aerated, while some parts had no aeration at all. My husband is a Master Gardener and always keep his lawn in tip top condition with very few, if any weeds. After Xtreme Lawn completed the aeration, within weeks weeds were covering our lawn. We assume they did a lawn prior to us and did not sterilize their blades. We are still fighting to rid our lawn of the weeds.

AORGANICA GARDEN CARE
I wanted a real gardener instead of someone who just mows the lawn. I needed someone on a regular basis with a crew instead of just one person. She actually has all of that, which is very good. She comes about once a month and installs new stuff. She takes care of our garden very excellently. I could not find anyone but her that did that. She's wonderful.

For quality I would give them an A for gardening and an F for everything else. Their professionalism would be the same. We would use them again for gardening but absolutely not for anything else.

The team members from Meador Nursery were courteous, attentive, and did everything possible to ensure the success of my gardening project. I would utilize their services and recommend them to anyone.

AGardens For Texas
Jamie and Sandra recently designed and installed a new xeriscape garden for me. I could not be more thrilled with the result. This extensive project was completed during the winter. My garden is ready for the Texas hot summer! Gardens for Texas took a sad looking front yard covered in dead grass and turned it into a water-friendly paradise. They removed the dead turf and installed a water- saving irrigation system. My beautiful new dry river rock stream serves as a biodetention area returning rainwater to the ground and complies with local mandates. Along the rock stream and throughout the xeriscape garden their friendly crew planted over 80 drought-tolerant plants in many varieties. They created a seating area and placed art objects around. I now want to start every day with coffee in my xeriscape garden.

Mike did a great job transforming a mess in my side garden into a great looking landscaped garden. He also planted some new St. Augustine grass in some bare areas of my front yard which now looks great.

Elizabeth and her team are outstanding! I struggled for years to find someone to keep my lawn and gardens healthy and well maintained at a reasonable price. I have finally found what I was looking for with Splendid Gardens. Elizabeth always follows up in a timely manner and sends helpful notes when watering needs adjustment, etc. They are also great about making suggestions on which flowers to plant and the seasonal flowers last all season long. I also had a sprinkler emergency and Elizabeth took the time to call me back on a weekend and get someone out to fix the problem asap. I highly recommend Splendid Gardens!
