The estimate was well-priced, however we did not use them as they only use a glue-down method. We have allergies and the fumes from the glue would give adverse effects to our health.

BFinal Touch Flooring
We were impressed. He was very professional and helpful. In the end, we didn't choose Final Touch Flooring due to the high estimate we were given.

The Lumber Liquidator sales process was very good, but my experience with the installation was not great. The flooring is Morning Star Bamboo 1/2 x 5" click, floating on top-of-the-line Bellawood underlay. The first crew did not show up. When I told the supervisor in the afternoon, he promptly arranged for a different crew the next day. The second crew was pleasant and easy to work with, but there are problems with the results. They decided not to use the leveling compound, and maybe that's why the floor creaks a bit. I don't know if this creaking is to be expected with a floating floor, but I didn't expect it. Also, rather than remove the front door threshold so it could cover the ends of the boards when it was put down again, they left a 1/4" gap, which I had to fill with some brown caulk I got at home Depot. There is a bit of visible flex in some the board ends. Next to the door, there was another small gap where there should have been shoe moulding, so I added some. The door frames were undercut to slide the boards under, but there were gaps of about 1/4" above the floor. I filled these gaps with caulk as well. So overall, I think the installation could have been done better. I entered this commentary on the provider's web site and waited for a response, but there has been none in about a week.

Warren Kuberry came to the house to put together an estimate, and bring some carpet and hardwood floor samples. He listened to what we wanted and was very good at helping select colors that go with the paint color and type of lighting in our house. When we decided to get bamboo for the dining room, he came back with bamboo samples for us to look at. He was very knowledgeable about flooring! He said that bamboo needs to acclimate before being installed, and when it arrived in his warehouse, he brought it over to sit in our dining room in opened boxes for 5 days. Two crews came to the house, one to install the bamboo floor, and the other to install the carpet. They moved the heavy furniture out of the way and then put it back where it belonged afterwards. They finished the entire job in one day! Warren explained how to clean the bamboo floor before he left. The floors look great, and we love the colors.

Because of a very poor experience we had with a previous contractor, I now use Angie's List for everything. I found Bryan Robidoux with The Floorman on Angie's List to give me a quality floor. He and his team tore out the poorly installed bamboo floor and installed an awesome floor. They finished in TWO days. They even installed some extra shoe mould because the previous contractor had basically destroyed my baseboards in some areas (oh, also, they moved all the furniture without harming it). I love my new floors and couldn't be happier with the quality flooring and customer experience I found with The Floorman. Thanks.

They laid the floor about 48 hours before Christmas day 2015. In March 2016, the floor began to buckle. We called them to come and repair it. It took them an additional 2 months to come and repair only a portion of the damage. They blamed it on the bamboo flooring, the glue (the expensive stuff,) and the house foundation. After their reluctant repair, they dropped us like a hot potato. I have since contacted a flooring specialist who is investigating the problem. I am sick to my stomach that I now have to pay someone else to do the job correctly.

This company is AMAZING! I was in a real bind and they helped me out. I am forever grateful. I had hired another contractor to install bamboo flooring, who took my money and only installed about 200 sqft of the floor (which has giant gaps and glue everywhere). They never called me back, so my whole family was living in one room with all our furniture... it was awful. I called Texas Hardwood Flooring and told them I needed this job done as soon as possible. The sales representative, Lyn, came the very next morning to give us a quote. He gave us a very reasonable price and had his crew out there the next day. They did great work and were very professional. Lyn even came out each day to check the status of the work and to make sure we were satisfied with the progress. I wish I had called them in the first place, but I will be sure to call them again if I need more wood flooring work. I own some rent houses, so do a lot of house projects and work with a lot of contractors, so believe me when I say that they are truly great.

We were ignored for several minutes, then basically passed back and forth between two salespeople. They didn't listen to what we wanted, and seemed surprised when we said we would be getting additional estimates. Their prices were high, and the products weren't even solid wood. They were engineered! It was their rude attitude that really ticked us off.

Michael Laid 370sf of Bamboo Hardwood Floors and Did an excellent job. We are having him do two more rooms in the near future. Job ran a little longer than estimated due to me picking out extremely hard bamboo floors. But he stayed with original quote. Best deal in town.Laid

He was very prompt and came with a full crew. He said the job would take one day and it did. He was very thorough and cleaned up really well. They were very polite and professional, and the we are very pleased with their work. We plan to use them again in the future.
Recent Review: The Flooring Direct installers were fast and very efficient. They came on time and did a BEAUTIFUL job. I would certainly recommend Flooring Direct to anyone needing flooring done in their home or business.
Recent Review: We had a fantastic remodel experience with Raindango from the first meeting until the last visit, it couldn’t have been any better! They helped us design an amazing space and then implemented it flawlessly. Our project manager was on the ball and had everything lined up perfectly from plumbers to electricians to carpenters to tilers, there wasn't a day when there wasn't a crew here working. All of the employees were respectful, tidy, detail oriented and top of the line in what they do! They finished on budget and ahead of schedule. I recommend them to everyone I know and would not hesitate to use them again!
Recent Review: The crew was incredible - they were punctual, professional, worked hard, and did an incredible job! Mr. Alvarez is honest and stands by his work; he is a rare gem these days. I have more projects in mind and will not hesitate to contact him! If he could earn an A++++ I would give it to him - my standards are high - he not only met them, he exceeded them.
Recent Review: The quote was for about $55000.00. They have done our neighbor's kitchen. We knew that their quality was really really good and their speed was really really good. They were in and out very fast for her and it does look beautiful. We ended up not using them and probably wouldn't use them again in the future. They had a definite idea of how they thought things should be and it wasn't quite how we wanted it to be. They didn't seem very open to change. It was more of a personality thing. For our neighbor, what she wanted and what they wanted luckily lined up and they were happy with their kitchen. What he proposed was not how we wanted to do it. He doesn't strike me as a person that I would be able to work with and make changes and discuss things.
Recent Review: After reading good reviews on Angie's List, we went to Metroplex Flooring to see their selection of solid bamboo and marble. We already picked out a couple other samples of solid bamboo and marble from other places but found some in their showroom that we liked. We also picked out a porcelain tile and another set of solid bamboo samples to see in the light of our house. The salesman, Mike Jones, came out the following week with the samples to measure the room and give us an estimate. Unfortunately, the bamboo supplier had discontinued a number of the samples we selected, but luckily, not the one we ended up liking the most. While he was at our house, we asked him to take measurements for two additional projects to get an idea of future project cost. We have a sunken living room and one wall has a two inch concrete lip as if the wall was built two inches out of place. We weren't sure what to do with the concrete lip so we left it off the work estimate to take care of it ourselves. The estimate for the living room was reasonable so we scheduled the work. Pay half up front and the remainder when you're happy with the finished work. We asked for the flooring to be laid at a diagonal towards our fireplace so had to include 15% overage. The bamboo was delivered two weeks later and the installation was scheduled three days after (June 22nd) to give the bamboo time to acclimatize to our house. Pepe and Jose came out on the 22nd to prep the foundation. We had a few cracks in the foundation and an entire perimeter of holes left over from pulling out the carpet tack strips. We had a couple questions about how to approach the fireplace tile and Pepe gave us a good suggestion that we went with. While they were prepping the floor, Pepe asked us what we were going to do with the concrete lip. After telling him we weren't sure, he suggested topping it off with a thin piece of stair nose to tie it into the rest of the flooring and said he would return with supplies to show us what he was talking about. The next day, they came back early to tile the fireplace and lay the flooring. They measured measured measured and set chalk lines to get everything right. They glued the bamboo down in sections and did a great job of not getting glue all over the place. Pepe showed us the idea for the concrete lip and we decided to have him install it as it looked beautiful. Everything turned out absolutely gorgeous. We were so pleased with their work that we scheduled a second flooring job.
Recent Review: The floors are beautiful. Better than we imagined. We contacted several flooring contractors and almost as soon as we mentioned bamboo, they said they would not do the work. Some even said it could not be done. I tried to explain the type of bamboo we had (solid vertical cut), but the answer was still no. Jaime would not commit until he test stained a few samples of the original flooring we had left over. After a couple of revisions, we liked the product and Jaime agreed to do the work. We agreed on a price and date. Did I mention we were 1500 miles away? He and his crew showed up at the appointed time (this alone was a chance to rejoice) and started the work. Hs crew was responsive, pleasant, and professional. They completed the work before the agreed upon time (we were having all our furniture delivered from out of state). Everything went smoothly The finished product is just great. We could not be happier. Should the need ever arise, Jaime would be my first call.
