Recent Review: Anthony Renaud Remodeling (John Pederson, owner) was recommended to us by a handyman who is no longer in the business (who was recommended by our realtor). After receiving Mr. Pederson's phone number, I called him to find out if he was available to give an estimate on some handyman-type jobs in my condo, including carpentry, painting, and tile and grout work, as well as repairing a towel rack. Mr. Pederson was available, and offered that his estimate would be free. We were able to schedule an appointment for him to do the estimate for several days after the original phone call. On the day of the estimate, Mr. Pederson arrived and was able to find the condo unit successfully (despite the building being a bit of a maze). After showing him each bit of work needed, he took the necessary measurements and made recommendations for how he would proceed. He made note of the work needed to be done on a type-written form. He willingly answered any and all questions my husband and I had for him. He said he would be able to inform us by email what the estimated cost would be to have the work performed. We received a typed estimate by email. We replied that we would like him to complete the work for us. Due to his schedule, we did have to wait a few weeks. On the scheduled day for the work to begin, I received a phone call from him saying that he hadn't found tile that matched closely enough, and that he would try one more location. After finding it, he informed me that he would be on the way. When he arrived, Mr. Pederson went to work immediately. Due to our HOA rules, Mr. Pederson had to stop working at 5pm. Although I was prepared to pay him a portion of the agreed-upon fee, Mr. Pederson did not request any payment for the work he had done so far. The mark of a TRUE PROFESSIONAL! Mr. Pederson was back as soon as he be the next morning (after 9am due to HOA rules). After completing all of the tasks, Mr. Pederson walked me through what he did, and left me with the invoice as he moved the last of his tools/items to his truck. Throughout the two days of work, Mr. Pederson worked quietly, efficiently, and professionally. He managed his time well, and cleaned up after himself as he did the requested work. When I had questions for him, he answered with thought, with professionalism, and with honesty. If he had options on how we would like the work to be done, he gave us the options, gave his recommendation, and let us decide. He then followed our instructions. We really appreciated the fact that he did not request any payment until the job was done.
