Recent Review: Owner works with his family, claims to have been in business for years offering commercial / residential work. All his work is guaranteed. Promises the asphalt is 3 inches thick over all after being rolled. To my surprise, I gave the provider (Henry's Paving) the benefit of the doubt yet within six months the driveway is already falling apart. I called, and they promised after the holiday season that he would send out his brother and make things right. One day lead to the next, soon I sent a text to the owner - text returned as non deliverable. I contacted the brother who lives locally, asked if the brothers number changed as he was going to do work for us; asked if I could get it - last I heard. Now I am thinking of just turning things over to our attorney. We've now seen others have their driveways done and you can tell the asphalt is thick, not think like ours. I encourage the service provider / owner of Henry's Paving, if your legit than call.

Recent Review: Our driveway measurements were slightly short of the minimum amount that Hawkins requires to perform services , so they charged their minimum fee to bring the equipment and service to us. We are very rural so we found this acceptable. They did some asphalt repair needed, trimmed the encrouching grass away very neatly and sealed up to our concrete pad. There was no mess and it looks great. Randy from Hawkins did our estimate and scheduled us. The weather determines the schedule for this work. We had a rainy month to work with but he stayed in communication with updates and called us with the day planned for our job. The weather held and the work was completed on time. He also came back and removed the ribbon blocking our driveway. Thay are billing us for the work. Good experience!

Recent Review: i have a beautiful, beautiful driveway. They came out and gave me an estimate along with 3 other companies. Brown brothers was the cheapest so i went with them. The day they came i kind of got concerned because their estimate was so much cheaper than all the others. I told them how much their competitors had told me for the same exact thing and asked them if they thought they had told me too low of a price. The owner told me "Nope" as if he wasn't concerned at all that he could have told me a lot more. The owner is out there working, sweating with the crew he is paying. This guy is not afraid to get his hands dirty, that's for sure! You would not believe how nice this driveway looks. I would TOTALLY use this company again.

FReliable Paving Services
Buyer Beware! Joe Callahan of Reliable Paving Services was contracted to pave our driveway from 09/19 - 09/21/2018. The gravel driveway of some years had been previously graded to allow water to drain properly into two installed drains. In the process of Joe placing a base aggregate down prior to the asphalt installation, his crew over compacted an area that resulted in a low area as pointed out to him by his crew chief. Joe indicated the asphalt would correct. After the asphalt was placed and compacted, concerns were raised again about the potential for poor drainage from this area. Joe asked me to wait for the first rain to decide. No water test was performed by Joe. He promised repeatedly that he would return within the week if needed. His crew also installed the curbing in a crooked fashion and he also proposed to return within the week to correct regardless of the drainage issue. The first rain revealed a drainage issue with significant water pooling which a water test I performed confirmed. Daily phone calls and texts over the next month and repeatedly since then has not resulted in him returning to correct these two issues. Not reliable!

DTRI-CITY PAVING
A very aggressive man named Frank stopped at our neighborhood and offered to piece our driveway for a great price with asphalt he had left over from another job. He actually had his crew start working on the driveway before we agreed to it and would not give a price, just " a good deal". When he had dumped some of the asphalt onto our driveway and then quoted us a price of $22,000, we absolutely refused the job. It was then that the owner of the company (David Cornell) showed up and after much discussion, we agreed to trade for some vehicles we had in exchange for the paving job. David seemed okay, but I would never do business with this company again as long as Frank is in the picture. (Apparently Frank is David's brother in law.)

They are very punctual, have great customer service and are neat while they do their work. They took their time and went out of their way to help me move something heavy while they happened to be there.

ABlack Dawg Sealcoat of Merrimack
We liked the communication prior to the job.  They were really excellent in communicating when they would be out.  We had some questions about the processes involved in sealing the driveway and they answered all of our questions in a timely and effective manner.  We had them answer us within an hour or two.  When we called they were really responsive.  They did a really good job.  They were competitive with the other quotes that we had got in providing the same service.

AJoe's Asphalt Paving
We had a crushed gravel driveway and a rocked area in our fenced in backyard beside the deck that we wanted paved and the backyard area converted to a patio.  Joe, the owner, came out and gave us an estimate and explained in detail what the process was and when we would be able to have the work done based on weather.  He was always very responsive to emails, responding within 24 hours in every case. On the day of the scheduled service, he came with his crew and arrived promptly.  They worked professionally and discussed moderate changes that we wanted made to the original patio quote.  Was not only able to accommodate the changes that we requested but rose above and beyond our expectations of the original work discussed for the driveway.  They widened our existing driveway by several feet and had all of the work completed in about 6 hours start to finish.  Gave very informative follow up information about the care for our new driveway and patio.  Very professional and will use them again in the future for other projects we have planned.

Cleaned and filled cracks then 735' x 9.5' driveway applied 5-star premium sealcoat. The initial coating was unsatisfactory, but when I contacted the business, the process was repeated and applied a beautiful covering. The company stood behind its work and the reapplication was free. The initial failure was attributed to "bad batch of seal coat" not mixed properly.  Advertisement: "Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We work for our customers, on their schedule. Our customers decide when we work and when the job is done." was indeed applied.

BTURNER PAVING
Arrived as scheduled with a six man crew. Did grading adding and removing stone as required, but did not roll the graded area prior to asphalt work, which really should have been done. Installed asphalt. My driveway is rather long with an enlarged parking area in front of the garage, 42'x42'. These folks had problems with making sure the asphalt was laid at the same thickness throughout the entire lay of material. They could not finish the project in one day so when they came back the second day they were installing hot asphalt against the previous day's work [cold asphalt], which caused poor seam development. The paving machine they had was too small for this project, but I was not told that before they started. Hence the driveway has highs and lows in it. I am not pleased with this after paying as much as I did for the job. Brought back the owner and expressed my dissatisfaction with the highs and lows and was given a 'story' as to how I had to let the asphalt 'settle in'. "Patching low areas by adding material will not look good" as stated by the owner. Hence at this point I knew where the conversation was heading. I have been in construction for over thirty [30] years, and asphalt does not 'settle in'! Only option is to go to court for a settlement, and it is not really worth my time. Sure wish they had had a larger paving machine. Seams both hot and cold are VERY visible and not good looking at all. Overall the job is okay to the normal homeowner I would assumne, but having experience in construction I know it could have been completed in a better format using a larger paving machine and doing a continuous lay of material. Just too big a job for these folks. They tried, but their quialty of their finished project leaves much room for improvement . All could be finished to a better level of completion by coming back and adding another 1 1/2" of material to the entire driveway. That would fill the low areas and give a more finished even look to the entire drive.
