Recent Review: My first call to Chaffee was Saturday evening around 7:30 P.M. Someone actually answered the phone! I had called others who had voice mail but no one available at that time. The person I spoke with is the owner, Rex Chaffee. To my surprise he said he would come out. He arrived at our home about 20 minutes later. He seemed like a real nice guy, easy to work with and willing to explain what he was doing and what needed to be done. He couldn't do everything he wanted to do that evening but said he would send help on Monday. But he did enough to get our air conditioner working. Two men in two vans showed up at 8:15 A.M., which is the time Rex said that would be here. They cleared the bushes that had grown around the two units, cleaned the units, added freon, installed what parts were needed and cleaned out the line. They were here for almost three hours and it wasn't because they worked slowly. There was just that much to do to get our air conditioner units in good working order. Both of the men, James and Dean, were courteous and willing to answer my questions. I was charged quite a bit for this service but I have come to expect that it costs a lot to get good service these days. I do not think they charged me unfairly and I believe other companies would have cost me a similar amount. If I need service again, I will call Chaffee. It meant a lot to me that he was willing to make a service call on Saturday evening.
