Recent Review: Our roof was about 17+ years old and several years ago, in one bedroom, we started to notice a leak in the ceiling. We had a roofing company come to inspect and they replaced an area of shingles they thought could be the culprit. Unfortunately, this slowed down the leak but never fixed it 100%. Fast forward to several years later and the leak is back and worse. We also had been considering replacing all the gutters, adding getting gutter guards and wanted a quote. We called three companies with good Angie's list reviews as we were looking for a different company to try than last time. One company never called back, another company called back 4 days later (wow no thanks) but TCS answered the phone with a live person. She was professional, kind and took all the needed information. Then within 45mins James (owner) called to get more specific details on our issue. He checked the schedule, booked a technician and updated me with all the needed details via text. This was a great and efficient use of both his and my time. The tech Donnie called the day of the appointment and was able to make it out a bit early. He was great. We hunted to try to identify the leak in the attic. He and the other tech worked as a team to try and find the source of the issues. It was a mystery but one thing was for sure... The roof was old and nearing its end of life. Donnie and his tech caulked the several nails that could be the issue for FREE but advised we needed to consider more work to truly fix the leak. The next day James (owner) called and we discussed getting together to look at the gutter options and to take another look at the leak and see if we could find the source. James came over as scheduled (a bit early with a courtesy call too) and he walked the whole roof and made several investigative videos. He also looked in the attic in great detail. We reviewed the videos and a few things were instantly apparent. One, the original roof was installed with a lot of incorrect shingle placement issues (many only 2-3" spaced so you could lift and see felt easy as they should be a min of 6") and 2 lots of nail pops and shingle wear of an old roof. James took many photos/videos and we discussed several options. An inexpensive roof repair (a crew comes and caulks cracks, nail pops etc), a replacement of just the part of the roof that the leak would come from and a full roof replacement. Later that day I had all three quotes in an email with details roof line diagrams and schematics, detailed cost break down etc. All documents were totally professional and easy to understand. This felt like next level contractor professionalism compared to other companies we have used in the past. He even included a Dropbox link to all the photos and videos he and Donnie captured on their visits. We deiced to not throw money at the "repair" options and just replace the old roof. The crew came on time. The work took 1 and a half days. They cleaned up all debris and moved the planters back to the porch etc. The roof looks awesome and the materials they used were far better than the original roof and... it rained all night last night... no leak so far that ceiling spot stayed dry! Thanks to the TCS team for all the work and help on this. After winter we will be calling them for the gutter replacement. I highly recommend TCS to everyone.

Recent Review: Chris has done work for us in the past, so we called him when we needed help once again with a leak in our roof. He gave us a very reasonable estimate, and we agreed upon a date for work to be done. He and his crew arrived quickly and on time, and tracked down the cause of the leak, then went about fixing it. They always do an excellent job, and we would definitely call then again for future issues.

Recent Review: Mr. Velasco answered the phone and handled himself in a very professional way from the beginning of our project to the end. He gave us an estimate on the roof repairs and after finding matching shingles came back to install 4 days later.  I had expressed some concern about the possibility of the roof still leaking until they came back and he placed a rubber sealer in place before he left the house.  His price was in the ballpark and even gave us a senior discount, when asked.  He drove approx. 40 miles twice to our house.  I was impressed with him and would call him again should I need any other roofing repairs, etc...

Recent Review: I have an unusual roof on a 100-year old house. I was getting leaks where the flashing goes around the chimney. I wanted a professional company to take a look instead of just handing it over to any old handyman.  The representative responded timely (the next day). We both inspected the roof and the flashing issues together. The rep was helpful at pointing out possible overall solutions to what will amount to ongoing roof problems due to the age of our roof and poor initial installation (by a different company).  I indicated I have a very limited budget and could not afford to replace my roof right now. The rep was not at all pushy to sell me a new roof. Instead he made helpful suggestions for my own DIY repairs and recommended certain products I would not normally know what to ask for from the roofing supply store.  On top of that, he offered me the services of one of his workers to fix my one particular leak issue and that service cost only $50.  My leak is stopped and I had a professional provide me with some good advice. Happy overall and would use Adams Roofing again.

Roofing by James Brockwell & Sons
Recent Review: Last week I noticed a water stain around a pot light in the 2 person shower. The leak concerned me because about 4 years ago I had a repair done on the roof because during a severe thunderstorm a large branch of a tree penetrated the roof. I suspected the repair on the roof as the cause of the leak as it was approximately six feet away from the leak in the shower. I called James Brockwell and Sons on 01/09/2013 and the receptionist said a representative would contact me and come out that day. I was skeptical as most contractors that I have experienced are not reliable in returning phone calls. Much to my surprise I received a call in the same afternoon by James Brockwell and he said he would come out and check the roof and my concerns. We were outside looking up at the area of the leak and Mr. Brockwell asked me exactly where the leak was after examining the old roof patch. I directed him to the exact location of the leak which coincided with a vent pipe. He informed me that the sleeve around the vent pipes dry rot and leak after a few years and that was the cause of the leak. Relying on his experience which made sense to me I agreed to have the vent pipe sleeve replaced plus I had 2 other vent pipes on the other side of the house that I felt should be replaced also as they were all the same age being the house was constructed in 2001. He said he would schedule the work to be done the next day 01/10/2013 as a big rain was forecast for 01/11/2013. Around 10:30 AM the doorbell rang and Mr. Brockwell's 2 sons were at the door to do the vent sleeve replacements. Mr. Brockwell's sons started work immediacy and did an excellent job. In addition for piece of mind they checked the previously repair that was an initial concern as the cause of the leak. Bottom line: Fast prompt courteous service and excellent quality of workmanship. I would highly recommend James Brockwell and sons and in the event I need further roofing repairs or replacement he would be my first call.

He diagnosed the problem and fixed it even though it wasn't actually a roof leak. He explained the problem in detail and was very trustworthy. He's not extremely professional, but I liked his style. And his service fee was incredibly cheap!

ADelbert Hicks & Sons Roofing
I had a roof leak around my chimney. I decided to put on 1/2 a roof as the other side had been recently done. Delbert and his son came out to look at replacing the roof. They went ahead and fixed the leak that day then came back in a couple of weeks to do the roof. They were very fast and very good. I would definitely use them again. Very honest people.

I first contacted Mr. Randy Watkins back at the beginning of April 2012 to see if he could fix a leak in my roof. He said he could be to my residence on April 5, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. He arrived at 11:00 a.m. I showed him on my roof where the leak was and he laid down a good amount of roofing calk and said “if that stops the leak you owe me $50 if not I’ll come back and pull the shingles around the leak and fix the flashing underneath and that should be around $250”. That seemed reasonable and I also inquired about him installing two roof vents. He quoted me a price of $100 for two vents and I agreed. Within 5 days or so we had had some rain and my roof was still leaking and I contacted Mr. Randy Watkins to inform him that he would need to return and do the more extensive work as discussed earlier, Plus install the vents. He agreed to be at my residence on April 16, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. On said date he was a no show. I tried repeatedly to contact him with all my efforts going directly to voicemail. Two day later on April 18, 2012 Mr. Randy Watkins called me around 7 p.m. and said he could be over first thing in the morning on April 19, 2012. He finally showed up around 11:00 a.m. He went right to work and removed the shingles fixed the flashing and re-laid new shingles. By this time it was just after 2:00 p.m. and he said that he would have to come back in the morning to finish installing the vents because the roof had become too hot to work with shingles. I could not take another day off from work to accommodate his untrustworthy schedule. I paid him $250 to repair the leak and $100 for the two vents he had already bought and said I would call and let him now when I would be able to be home so he could finish the vents. I called Mr. Randy Watkins on April 23, 2012 and asked if he could install the vents on April 26, 2012 first thing in the morning, around 8:00 a.m. He agreed. I called again on April 25th to see if he was going to be able to make it the following morning and he said he would be here by 8:30 a.m. April 26, 2012 came and went and I have not heard from him since. I hired somebody else that followed agreed upon schedules. I have come to the conclusion that Mr. Randy Watkins can only work for himself because his lack of punctuality and failure at communication makes him unemployable. The work he did do for me was fair to good quality when he finally showed up. Do not use Mr. Randy Watkins out of Oakland, TN. 38060 for anything. He wasted a lot of my time.
