Recent Review: George Allin is an absolute pro in every respect. From the first meeting where George carefully listened to our ideas and respectfully offered different options (including an entirely different way to approach the project, which we ending up choosing!), to the final planting and instructions on caring for our landscaping, George has been a pleasure to work with. He patiently created multiple designs and revisions until we had everything just right. His hardscaping, landscaping, and pergola teams were equally professional. Each took great pride in their work, getting each detail right and cutting no corners. Everyone who worked on the job was prompt and worked long, hard days to deliver an absolutely superior product. Between our wonderful outdoor grilling space, cozy fire pit, pergola-covered dining area, and beautifully new landscaped yard, our family has hardly left the backyard this spring. We would recommend Allin landscaping without hesitation and would certainly hire again for our future landscaping needs.

Reviews in Franklin to Building a Pergola

I called him to see if he can build a Pergola in my backyard. It went to voicemail after a couple of rings then said the voicemail box is full. Very unprofessional.

AKinwood Landscape & Construction
Shannon was very professional and we felt absolutely confident his team would do a good job. They did provide good examples of their own work and again, I have no question they would have done a fine job. Shannon was prompt to our appointments, provided good work samples, and was very responsive to our endless emails and questions. We interviewed 2 other providers and the pricing estimates for all three were right inline with Kinwood's. We ultimately decided to go with another provider because we thought we would prefer to have a and quot;specialistand quot; do our pergola and a company that just does and quot;hardscapesand quot; do our pavers. (Kinwood would send one crew to do both the pergola and the pavers.) Overall, it was a good experience and we are considering calling them back for some upcoming landscaping needs.

FSMC
Our project started out promising, but quickly went from bad to worse. Bobby was great in the beginning in getting us a quote and discussing the project. He worked with us to refine our plan and was responsive and friendly throughout the negotiation process and while getting HOA approval. SMC was set to begin the project in early August 2015. After numerous delays they finally began the project weeks later. We were told the entire project would take 2-3 weeks. At the beginning of October (8 weeks later) the crew had still not finished the work. There were install issues with the original deck and paver pad. Bobby had to fire his first crew and redo most of the project. The second crew came out and instead of fixing all issues only bandaged the issues. Bobby always seemed very concerned in fixing the issues and would offer additional items such as a planter box to ease our concerns. In early October we left the country for a previously planned trip. The second crew had not yet finished, but we completed a preliminary walk-through on the job as they were expected to finish while we were gone. We cut a check, post-dated it, and gave it to Bobby. This was a big mistake on our part. SMC was supposed to come through for an official, final walk through upon our return, but because we cut the check, that never happened. We spent most of the winter trying to get ahold of Bobby and SMC to not avail. There were some issues with the final product and the paver pad began sinking as soon as it was completed. We finally got ahold of Bobby in late February / March, and in typical fashion, he was friendly and accommodating. A third crew did fix it and Bobby added a flower box around the outside at no additional cost, but then that crew left the project without it being complete. When I attempted to call the foreman and find out when they were returning I was told he was fired and to call Bobby. Once again, multiple attempts to reach Bobby were made, but no return calls were received. In June, I finally got back in touch with Bobby who had me work with one of his employees (fourth crew) on the remaining issues that were not resolved the first time around. I was able to work with the employee regarding the issues. He was very concerned about the install and the flaws. He told me he was embarrassed by the craftsmanship on the job and SMC would not want this shoddy work associated with their name. I was told multiple times that I was very important and that my issues were a top priority for SMC. We set a date (which was delayed multiple times) to begin the work and I was told to expect the project to take just a few days, but when the time came for the fourth crew to come out and fix the issues they was a no show. I called him and was told he was no longer with SMC. This was early October 2016. Again, multiple calls to Bobby and SMC were made to find out what happened. After a week of no response from SMC I finally got in touch with Bobby when I called from a different number. Bobby told me my warranty for the labor was out of date since it had been more than a year even though I had been working with SMC during that time to rectify the issues from the initial install. Bobby indicated to me that SMC will be going out of business in the very near future. He told me that his team now involves just him and one other crew member. He said there is “nothing he can do” for me and threatened me by mentioning all of the “free” work he did on my job. All we ever wanted was a quality project, we did not ask for these “free” items, they were added to the project by Bobby in an attempt to smooth things over. For nearly a year now I have considered writing a bad review about SMC, I have not because of Bobby’s willingness to help and attitude during every interaction (even when it was challenging to get a response from him). It is frustrating that I am now being told that my project is no longer under warranty – a lack of responsiveness from the contractor should not allow this. If SMC truly goes out of business, we will be unable to resolve the outstanding issues with this company. I am currently searching for a contractor to come and fix the install issues from SMC so I can have a properly finished deck.

AMultitask Handyman & Space Solutions
Sheila was super nice on the phone and very responsive. Since they couldn't see the pergola (and I am not great at estimating sizes), they initially thought that it would take 6 hours and also they would be unable to haul it away. This was OK with me. But then she called back and said they could haul it away, which was fantastic. When Chaz got here, he was very thorough on explaining the charges (hourly, trip, haul away) and telling me what he was going to do, and maybe how long it would take. After seeing it, he said it would take no more than 3 hours. Well, he was done in 2 hours! He was also very nice to my four crazy dogs! I would 100% use their services again and would recommend them to anyone that can use their services.

AALLIN LANDSCAPING
Our yard has been turned into a magical peaceful place to relax. The whole team listened to our input and were very professional. We interviewed several landscape designers before we picked Allin Landscaping and this team was everything we could have hoped for. George Allin even took us to Randall Walker Farms to pick out some of our specimen plants. It was a delight to go pick some of our plants. We love the Pacific Northwest area of the country and we wanted to incorporate that feel to our yard and it was accomplished. We have many varied species of evergreen trees that grow in Oregon. Allin Landscaping is first class and really listen and make sure their client is happy. If you are looking for a unique landscape design team with professional people that take pride in their work then without a doubt you will be pleased with their results. We absolutely love our beautiful palette in our whole yard.

APeachTree Landscape
Peach Tree did an amazing job.  They were the only company that we looked at that gave us a 3D computer graphic of what our yard would look like after the install.  They did an amazing job and they were priced about the same as everyone we looked at.  There were a few items I asked them to adjust after install, and they did so without question or complaint.  They installed several planting beds which are outlined in stone.  They installed stone pavers over our front and back patio.  They suggested a built in fire pit and sitting wall, and also installed a pergola and planted wysteria to grow across it.  I read that wysteria takes several years to bloom and I told them I didn't want to wait years to see blooms, they were able to find a type of wysteria that bloomed the first season.  I can't say enough positive things about Peach Tree.  They are (in my view) the best of the best!!!
