Recent Review: Tim estimated correctly that it would take about a week to complete and that was what it took. He worked steadily and was careful in his building and craftsmanship. He also suggested installing a border on the other side of the ramp in case of need for a wheelchair. This ramp ends in our driveway and is about 60 feet long, so it definitely needed a handrail. Tim came every day that he said he would be here and always called us if he was unable to get here. We would definitely recommend Tim for such a project. He is careful and very dedicated to doing a good job. The finished product looks really great with our already existing porch and ramp. We will have Tim back for other jobs in the future.

Recent Review: The location was at our farm house which sets more than 400 feet off the road. Casey Powell correctly foresaw the difficulties in getting a tractor-trailer truck carrying the building materials up our very steep driveway. His supplier used a fork lift truck to bring the building materials up the driveway. The delivery of materials occurred as scheduled. Demolition of the old deck was accomplished without damaging the stucco finish on the walls of the house. As the house is more than 50 years old, and there are places where the stucco finish is weak, this type of meticulous attention to detail was much appreciated. The new deck was framed, footers dug and concrete poured for the support posts, the flooring boards laid, and the deck and stair rails and completed. Pressure washing of the ramp revealed that only a relatively few boards needed to be replaced. The carpenters did all their work between September 4 and 13, 2018. Rain stopped the work at least once. The new deck, stair rails, and the ramp were stained and sealed by September 20, 2018. The new deck seems very sturdy and we are looking forward to hosting star-gazing parties on it.

Recent Review: We were very happy with Andy from the start. He fit us into his schedule far before he estimated he would be able to work on our deck and we appreciated that. The day of service, Andy and his crew were there on schedule and ready to work. Andy ran into a few unforeseen issues with out deck in the stripping process. The previous owners had done everything wrong with our deck and had used wrong deck paint and it could not safely be stripped. Andy was quick to come up with alternate solutions and apologetic even though this hiccup was not his fault. Andy was able to find a stain that matched what the previous owners had used. The deck turned out looking great and Andy was very helpful throughout the whole job. He didn't have to help us find another solution but he was committed to making our deck look great no matter what. He was very honest and did not charge us for the job. None of these unforeseen issues were Andys fault but he went above and beyond to make it right. It is hard to find great and honest service such as Andy from the Deck Doctor. I will be recommending him to everyone I know.

Recent Review: We were looking for a contractor to build a handicap ramp for my sister-in-law's house in GA.  Since we live out of the area, we relied on Angie's List reviews to find a potential contractor.  The other contractors we contacted in the area did not respond to our requests for estimates.  Mr. Spivey replied quickly to the request for an estimate on the job.  While his price seemed a bit high, the quality of his work was outstanding, and it included debris removal.  Once the job was started, he completed the work within one day.  Be aware that payment is in cash, check, or Paypal.  My husband saw the finished ramp about a month after the ramp was built, and he was very impressed.

Recent Review: Went great!  No complaints at all.  I'm already enjoying the screened-in porch! There were the delays caused by weather but the work was done as planned, professionally, high quality work.  The small problems we had were immediately addressed and fixed.  Plus we got a 5-year warranty (longer on the roof).

Recent Review: Fantastic job with a beautiful result. Turned out exactly as planned and envisioned. The crew were all extremely curteous and professional. Took extra care to stain wood stairs to match other wood trim. Could not have expected a better job. Dewayne Bowman himself is a true pleasure to deal with and a professional in every aspect. Will not hesitate to use him again.

Recent Review: A large crew came in to replace my roof before some bad weather came in, and completed the job very quickly. Unfortunately, I have exposed eaves on my house, and the roofers accidentally used nails that were too long and punctured the eaves. It was a process, but I never once had to ask Mr. Langley to fix the problem. It was noticed toward the end of the job, and he made it right. He sent painters initially to sand and paint the eaves, but then inspected the work and said he wasn't happy with it. So a couple of days later, he sent another large crew, and they replaced and painted all of the wood decking that's exposed on my house and redid the shingles. It took much longer to do this than to do the initial roof. I know this cost a lot, and I was never asked for a cent more than what I was quoted up front. I'm very happy with the work that was done.

AR&R Power Washing, Painting & More
Andrew and a small crew erected a prefab patio screen house that attaches to the house. It is like a screened porch, only on a patio. It took them 15 hours and they did a wonderful job, even moving a light fixture that was in the way. We have enjoyed almost every supper outside on our new screened patio since then. They also built a nice ramp for my custom shed, as well as putting up lattice work around it to my specs.
