Recent Review: Great! Loved how truly honest Mr. Powers was, so much that I fired my old HVAC company. The old company came out, said nothing was wrong (although my upstairs was registering 85 degrees.) Air Power came out, regulated the air flow and all was cool and fine afterwards!

Recent Review: I called Tri-County Mechanical, set up a time for them to come out and look at our systems, they arrived on time, looked over everything and by the end of the day I received a call back with an estimate. We scheduled the work to be done. The installers repaired my duct work and put in dampers, the service technician replaced a part on the upstairs unit. Everything is working well and our air flow is much better.

Recent Review: Karl performed a thorough service of all systems. He replaced the filters and checked air flow at each duct. He added algaecide, monitored the cycles and checked pressures and temperatures as well as cleaning the condenser coil and other checks. In 25 years we've had a number of companies service our HVAC system but none comes close of East Coast Air. They are by far the best and with their club membership it's also the best value.

Recent Review: Mr. Danny is awesome!!!! He and his team came to our house to install a new unit inside and outside. Our old one was 24 years old and on it last limb. The new one was installed on 04/17/18 and we can tell a huge difference. The air flow with the old unit was non-existent in certain rooms of our home. With the new one we can feel it as soon as you walk in those rooms. They had a wire that kept giving them an issue, but they took the time and had the patience to found and fixed it. Mr. Danny even came back a few days later to double check the pressures and all. He does high quality work. We are so thrilled with the new unit and the MAJOR difference it has made. Mr. Danny and his team our the best. We are blessed to have had him do this installation for us. We highly recommend him.

Recent Review: They have been out to my house repeatedly to make adjustments to the AC even to adding cold air returns in both bedrooms. The last visit the gentleman made adjustments to all the registers though out the house to boost the air flow in the bedrooms. The end result of all this is that the rooms still get overheated just not as badly.. I know that Dean Air has gone over and above what would be expected to solve this problem. I give them all the praise in the world in trying to help us and I would surely use them if I ever need a new system. I now have a service contract with them and will continue to have them for our maintenance.

Recent Review: They have been great.  It was just some minor things like changing an air filter and make more room for the air flow.  It was very quick.  He was very courteous and responsive.   I would recommend them for anyone else too.

Recent Review: We called Carolina Cool because our house was not heating evenly.  We had very warm spots, for example in closets and our bedroom was always at least 3 degrees cooler than the rest of the house.  We seemed unable to be comfortable wherever we were.   Carolina Cool's initial visit was to assess the heating in our house and provide recommendations for improvement.  The estimator had an infrared machine which showed where we had hot and cool spots.  He recommended that we add dampers to the ducts, replace the vents and balance the system.  Additionally, he went into the attic to inspect the ducts.  He found a duct crimped over a rafter and suggested building a "sling" to allow for free air flow. The installers arrived on-time after having a staff meeting at their office.  They were very pleasant, clean, efficient and explained what they were doing as they went along.  When the dampers and vents were installed, a third technician arrived to balance the system using a very large cone to direct the heat as appropriate. The technicians cleaned up completely  then they finished. We are very pleased with the result.  Our home is evenly warm and we are able to lower the thermostat a couple of degrees and be comfortable wherever we are.

DCarolina Temperature Control
My first dealings with CTC was when I called to spoke with their sales representative who was on the road. He took my information and model number &  told me he would call back in the next day or two. Never called me. Two weeks later I called them back up and was told the regular guy was not in on that first call.  I spoke with the regular sales representative, who was very nice and was a bit taken back by the price quote. CTC had come highly recommended on Angie's List and by friends so I figured you get what you pay for, right? Not exactly. While the WHD was being installed, I asked the guys about the how the unit was controlled. I'm not an HVAC guy and was surprised to learn that the sensor on the unit (in the air duct) controls the humidity which is set on the unit itself. Well, the unit is in the attic, which we all know in the summers, is in very high temperatures, low hundreds easy, accompanied by the SC humidity. The unit that was replaced had lasted less than eight years and it is one of the better models on the market, from all I heard and read. Like I said, I'm not an HVAC guy, so why didn't the expert at least mention this to me? I get the new humitistat/thermostat and have them replace that a week or so later. I had been away on family business and when I came back, no humidifier because the A/C is out. It took two more visits over the coming days to get it correct and of course, I'm billed for each of these calls. What really gets me is that I had asked two different service guys to have the service manager call me. I watched one of the guys write it in his notes. The job was on the expensive side and I knew that going in. WHD units are $1400 retail for me to buy so I know $2650 was high but they came highly recommended. You get what you pay for.... I bought the new humidistat/thermostat and they charged me an additional $214 to put it in. In my opinion, it should have been part of the original install or at least offered at the time the service date was set. I call about the other charges and am told they are taken off but this and another very small charge are legitimate. After another call, they take off $99. Four visits (install & 3 follow-ups to correct their miscues), my wasted time, no a/c for the duration and not once did anyone say... gee we are sorry for the inconvenience, nor do I get the simple courtesy of the service manager to even call me back after repeatedly asking to speak with him. Customer service? Not for me.

CA Plus Heating & Cooling
Initial installation went smoothly, but things started to go awry within just a few weeks. Overall, we have had a total of over 10 service calls in first 5 months to repair or replace items that have failed to function or were not installed correctly. Paul, the lead HVAC Service Tech, has bent over backwards to make things right for us and we appreciate all of his efforts. To their credit A+ has been responsive and professional in their efforts to repair / replace needed items - and have provided a few additional upgrade items at no cost - its just a shame we've had to have them out so often in the first few months.
