Recent Review: Mr. Kay was punctual, professional, and personable through all phases of the process. The final cost was right in line with the estimate and the quality of work was beyond reproach. He and his son worked efficiently and I was amazed at how quickly they were able to complete the work. Two of the tasks in particularly were tricky (replacing a heavy light fixture in a foyer with a very high ceiling and replacing the attic staircase). I will definitely look to Mr. Kay for future work and will recommend him to others.

Recent Review: One would think my home belonged to the owner!  Mr. Casey, of P&C Construction care for my home with personal attention to detail and completing the job with splendor.  The first part of painting all the walls in the home took one day. In three more days the garage floor had a showroom finish and the main wood staircase was sanded, re-stained and varnished.  All but the front door exteriors were painted.  Mr. Casey made this 5 year old home look like a brand new house.  He made suggested touchups and fixes for other items not mentioned with no additional charge.  Cleanup crew came in afterward and made the place spotless. Thank you P & C Construction for spectacular workmanship and professionalism.

Recent Review: I don't know that there is enough space here for all the accolades I have for Brian of Bravo Services.  He has excellent communication skills.  He maintained terrific contact as we proceeded with the service deal and he had marvelous flexibility in working with us.  Because we had an extensive punch list of items that needed attention we purchased an eight hour package of his services.  Most important was staining the upstairs front porch floor that had been renovated and stained three years earlier.  I anticipated had I done the floor, at least five work hours would have been involved and I would have been exhausted.  I felt confident he would not be able to complete the entire list in eight hours.  He completed the porch floor in less than three hours doing the staining on his knees with a brush.  Granted, Brian is much taller than me so he could reach over the railing and paint under the railing and made certain the ends of the boards were sealed.  The stain only went where it was supposed to.  The rest of the work took three hours and my list and materials were exhausted.  So, he said he owed me two hours and insisted on returning to finish out his agreement after I prepare another list with whatever materials are needed.  He is courteous, polite and knowledgeable.  This fellow is fantastic and, no, I'm not related to him nor did I know him prior to the Angie's List package purchase.  But, I will tell you this, Brian has become my handyman of choice.

Recent Review: Steve did an excellent job. It was a ground floor deck, accessed right out the sliding doors of the house. The deck is sturdy and the finish work excellent. Steve is so people friendly but also professional. He kept us apprised of necessary schedule changes. He did a great job keeping the area neat and clean up was done daily during the job. We could not be happier. Steve is also building a small deck and stairs behind a bungalow on the property. We are so happy to have him doing this also.

Mr Kay came out the same day I called to give us an estimate to fix our deck, which was $350 plus materials.  He said he would call a few days before he was able to do the job to confirm the day and time, which he did.   He and his partner arrived on time and finished the job in about 3 1/2 hours, which included a last minute request to repair our deck gate, which he did not charge extra for.  I was very happy with their work.   About 15 minutes after they had packed up and left, I discovered, to my dismay, that a section of our deck stairs was also pulling away from the deck.  He was on his way to another job when I called him, but promised to come back out in a few hours.  When he returned, he spent another 20 minutes, or so, shoring up the stairs, which he also did not charge me for.    I highly recommend these guys.  They are prompt, professional, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Great experience characterized by quality workmanship, value, and problem solving.  Came up with ways to make permanent repairs that lowered the cost.  This work was all outdoors and we experienced weather delays.  Brian returned every week that weather permitted progress and completed each scope item until the work was complete.  Brian's estimated clearly showed the cost of each repair item in a simple and easy way to understand.  During the work tour, he suggested appropriate and cost effective ways to achieve cost effective and permanent repairs.  The work was executed as agreed upon and the results are perfect. I highly recommend Bravo for their work management, quality and cost effective approaches.

AHalls Flooring
They did an excellent job. This is the sixth time we've hired the Halls to do tile work for us.  The first time was three years ago when our entire kitchen floor had to be replaced due to a leak. The Halls did such a great job that when we wanted our guest bathroom remodeled, we hired them again. It was the best thing we could have done. The Halls are creative and experienced. They had numerous ideas that enhanced the bathroom (we had it completely tiled from floor to ceiling), as well as having the old bathtub removed and remodeled as a shower. They were able to order marble for us at a better price than anything we could find in town. The bathroom now looks like something in a five-star resort spa. We hired them to remove the ugly popcorn ceiling on the first floor of our house and replaced with the knockdown (not sure if this is the correct term, but it is done by putting the plaster on the ceiling, then pushing it up so that it creates a design). They did an outstanding job. We had a second leak in our kitchen and had to have the entire floor replaced, again. We told the contractor to hire the Halls.  Good thing because we were told that we wouldn't be able to get the same tile that we originally had by the previous contractor. When my wife told Davin, he came back two days later and told us he found the manufacturer and placed an order for the tiles. During that job, they noted our stairs still had carpeting on them (we had all of the floors done in wood). We had been told that to replace our stairs with wood, we would not have use of the stairs for two to three days. The Halls took all of the measurements and built the stairs before taking out the old ones. They did the job in one day. Then, we just hired them to remove the old tile in our bathroom and replace it, and to fix our shower.  The first person to tile our master bath shower did a poor job of it, causing a serious mold problem in the shower.  Instead of putting a water proof shower pan on the floor under the tile, he installed a mud bed.  Besides that, he made it too deep. The shower floor was never able to dry completely. Davin took out the old tile floor, completely cleaned the area and installed a shower pan and new tile.  The shower looks like it's brand new. On top of that, he was able to get a cleaner for the grout so we were able to removed all of the old mold that had seeped into the grout. They are excellent workers and perform the best job. I would hire them anytime, for any job, in the future.

They too were friendly , polite and answered any questions we had .  The whole project took much less time than we had anticipated . We could not be more pleased and  will use his services again in the near future . The cost also was very reasonable considering the job !

We contacted Tres in January and went over what we wanted done. He came back in February to do another site survey because was wanted to add more to the job. He gave us an invoice for $11,177.30 and required half money down to begin the install. We gave him a check for $6000 dollars which was over the $5588.65 which he required. He said it would be a couple weeks to get the materials together. I emailed 1 month later in March 20th to get an update. He emailed back the same day and said he would see if the stone had arrived. I emailed him back on the 29th and asked for an update. He said the stone arrived the previous Wednesday he would pick it up Monday. He needed to drive up to Greenville to select the slab of wood and would send us pictures of the wood with the stone. I received none. I didn't hear back from him till I contacted him April 25th. He told me he still had to go pick out the wood and that he had 2 deaths in the family the last 2 weeks. I told him to take as much time as needed for this. On May 10th, I asked for an update and he said his wife's father was in hospice and Tres asked me what my availability schedule was for the install. I sent him this and then didn't hear back till about it for a 3 days after texting asking if he received it.. On May 30th, we FINALLY scheduled an install date for July 5th. On June 28, I sent a text asking if we were still on for the install, no response.. On July 4th he sent me a text asking if the stone was delivered to our house Friday, July 1st. No email, text or phone call was sent that we should be expecting the materials. I said nothing was delivered and he said he would pick them up himself. He said he would be at the house July 5th at 10 am and the install would take 5 days maximum. On July 5th at 9:37 AM, Tres texts me "They are looking for your stone". I tell him to keep me posted. At 11 AM, I text for an update and he says they didn't find the stone and he's waiting on a call from management. At 12:56pm, Tres informs me that they can't find the stone and they are seeing how fast they can get it. At 2:17pm, I ask him how we go about canceling and getting our money back. He says he understands and it will take a couple days to process the refund. On July 17th, I sent a text if the check had been sent out. He sent a text the next day that the check went out that morning. July 19th received a check for $5,588.65 which was $411.35 less than the 6000 we gave him. I sent him a text about the error and he said he made an error and would send the remainder. On August 4th and 17th I texted if he sent out the remaining money. He said my text was in his unknown senders folder and that he thought the check was sent out and would check in the morning. Never received anything. Between the time of canceling the install and the final text message, we were able to meet another contractor and get this project done within 5 weeks.
