Business Description: I am completely addicted to home building and renovation. I typically work by myself but often bring in help when needed. For in-depth projects, I use sub-contractors for job-specific trades such as plumbing, electrical, hvac and the like. I have built houses from the ground up, remodeled 80 yr houses, remodeled kitchens and baths, installed thousands of square feet of tile, and many other projects. If I cant' do it myself, I will find someone who can--the right way! Pricing typically depends on the scope and condition of the job- a site visit would be necessary for an appropriate cost analysis. Besides an initial materials down payment on some jobs, I do not charge for work not completed and estimates are free. My NC General Contractors license # is 50166 and I do have other references.

Recent Review: Did a nice job on a kitchen upgrade for us. New Granite Countertops, backsplash, undermount sink. Completed whole job in 3 days as promised. Good value for the money. Easy to work with and very reliable. Would use again and recommend

Fantastic!!! I would hire Gary Stringer for every home improvement project that we have in the future.

Everything went extremely well. Gary and his crew showed up on time when they said they would and finished the project as planned. Even when things went wrong Gary made it correct. A couple of the kitchen cabinets did not work they way we planned. He ordered new ones and used the other ones on another project. I incorrectly ordered a special order shower door that would not work with the shower enclosure. Gary ordered the correct door and even though I could not return the one I purchased, he took it and used it on another project .All said and done, Gary went above and beyond what was necessary which I believe says a lot about his integrity. A breath of fresh air in this industry.

FAAR Stone Boutique
I should have listened to my wife. The owner told us from the beginning that he did not have anything equivalent to show us. He basically is a painter and was getting started in the kitchen/bath remodeling business. He told us that this was the first time he was doing business with this cabinet manufacturer. Being a small business owner, I wanted to give him a boost to his business. We went to several other kitchen remodeling companies but they could not get anyone to give us a price on the actual demolition through completion. After meeting with the owner of AAR Stone many times, we felt pressured by him to make a decision as he literally told us that he had never had a customer take this long to decide and the promotional discount was ending. We were told by one of his clients that Chris would be on the job site everyday. This was very important to us. His crew of three people came and started the day they were supposed to. Chris took one of his employees away and said he would be back. He never came back and did not even respond to the texts and phone calls from the 2 people he left behind. The workers were to show up at 8:00 AM, and three times I would get a text at 7:30 AM stating that they would not be there that day. Some cabinets were ordered incorrectly as to size, style and finish. We were told that the cabinets for the master bath were only available in oak and when we spoke to the manufacturer later, we could have ordered them in the maple which is what we wanted. 3 of 4 sinks leaked. Sinks not installed properly and faucets do not line up with drains. Holes were drilled too large for faucets.Garbage disposal installed improperly. Floor is uneven in kitchen. We were told that the replacement windows are not made to be like original windows and they shift/move from side to side and are difficult to close. One of the windows actually fell out of the frame. We have other brands of replacement windows in our home and do not have these issues. We were literally yelled at, cursed at and hung up on numerous times. He threatened to pull his crew off of the job twice. When I pointed out that one of his workers' truck left many oil stains on our driveway he said it was not his problem. Well, yes it is as this person works for him! I had to pressure wash the driveway. Then he bragged that he fired the three people who worked on our project. Very unprofessional and arrogant. Our contract called for Simonton windows and we received an inexpensive substitute of inferior quality. He tried to fix a window that would not open, he messed up the frame, left it gouged and unpainted and left, never to be seen again. The job started in June/July and it is April and the job is still not finished. We are hiring someone to finish the work. Texts, emails and phone calls are seldom answered/returned. I do not recommend this person or company for any project.

We are very happy and satisfied with the quality job that Kreative Kitchen performed. Steve Rice, the owner, was very professional and pleasant to deal with during the whole process. He was knowledgeable and attentive to our needs and questions. The craftsman who transformed our space to an attractive and functional area, by the name of Steve Smith, was great. He was skillful with a positive attitude, a problem solver with an answer, and a person who paid attention to detail. You could see that he had a high bar for the service he performed. We feel fortunate to have had Kreative Kitchen do our complete kitchen job.

Excellent. Kreative Kitchens did everything they said they were going to do and then more. They went above and beyond.

ASouth End Remodeling
ted We met with David to discuss remodeling the kitchen. We explained what we wanted to do and he suggested ideas and showed us some pictures of other jobs. He quoted a price that we were satisfied with. We contacted other contractors and weren't able to get any response. As we discussed the renovation with David, we told him that after the kitchen was done we were going to replace the flooring, probably the following year. He asked if he could bid on the additional work which we agreed to. David gave us a reasonable quote on the entire job and we accepted. My wife and I live in Maryland and the home we were remodeling is in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. David and his partner, Larry was very professional and was able to complete the project within the two and a half weeks that we agreed to. We are extremely happy with the final product and would highly recommend this company to others.
