Recent Review: The painters were punctual, moved and covered furniture, prepared surfaces to be painted, painted walls, ceilings and trim in a period of three days.  They replaced the furniture and left the rooms very clean.  The electricians replaced two light fixtures and raised the microwave oven to a more appropriate height over the stove.  This required some carpentry work which was done well and quickly.  The electrical and carpentry work took about four hours.  The plumbers removed the toilet, replaced the flange and reinstalled the toilet so that it was solidly anchored.  This took about two hours.  The flooring required that the carpet be removed and engineered wood flooring be installed.  This was done very cleanly in two days.  There was a problem with making the new flooring flush with the top stair.  This was not done well at first, but the workers returned and removed the sub-floor at the top of the stairs and installed hardwood flooring at the top of the stairs that resolved the problem.

Recent Review: WARNING!!!  Larry Mishoe and his brother David Mishoe are crooks!  They are dishonest, unskilled, con-artists, who are pushy and pray on trusting individuals, who are in need of help with home-improvement work.  Larry is the talker who does most of the manipulating, while his brother and a couple of other guys who work with him all do the worst kind of work I've ever seen.  They always stopped working after only a small amount of work was finished, and they always wanted and needed more money to pay for supplies, and Larry would always say, "Look here..."  "I'm gonna need more money, I'm a little short and I need to go pick up these boards, nails, supplies, or whatever, that he didn't include in his original estimate..."  Before I knew it I had a mess, and was in over my head.  Nothing was right...the walls, the flooring, the electrical wiring they burried 2 inches under ground, (they didn't do anything to code or to specification), and they claimed to have the skills and abilities to do everything.  They find "victims" by driving around looking for people to talk to, to see if they can find work.  Their line is "You see that house over there, I did that work for him, or I did all that over there for those people..."  They don't really know how to do any of the work they agreed to do for me.  They put in outlets that weren't connected to the wall in any way, just hanging there loosly in the sheetrock.  They put plumbing in the walls with zero insulation, put the water heater in the ceiling, didn't do the insulating anywhere they were supposed to.  They put in extremely small windows rather than nice ones as I paid for, and they put doors in crookedly, flooring was a mess, glue all over the bathroom, dirty, and on and on and on.  I would be more than happy to tell you more about these disgusting individuals, gladly.  I had to go to work daily, so I wasn't there to watch what they did.  They took full advantage of my absence and in the end, I had to have the entire building redone.  I had a certified electrician come out to rerun the electrical wiring and bury the wires in conduit (they just laid the wires a couple of inches under my grass).  I had pipes burst during the cold December / January freeze, and all of the walls, ceiling, and flooring were destroyed.  Again, I had to have that work redone, but this time by someone trustworthy and who had excellent skills. My neighbor was recently approached by Larry Mishoe, but I had already warned him about my horrible experience with him.  Larry walked into my neighbor's backyard, sat on one of his chairs, and started pushing.  My neighbor had to tell him to get out of his yard and to not come back anymore. The Mishoe's should be in jail.  I learned the hard way.  Please do not fall for their lies.  Let me know if you need more information.  I would be more than willing to fill you in.

Recent Review: Coach Didier for Custom Home Improvement, promised to finish a bathroom for my family and I. Coach Didier left the job unfinished and demanded to be paid before the job was finished. Didier told my wife and I that he was coming back to finish the job but he did not. Items left unfinished included: painting on the walls, drywall finishing (which he left huge holes on the walls), caulking along the side of the tub, filling in nail holes, putting wood trim around the sink hanging the bathroom light, and removing all the garbage that he took from the bathroom to the dumpster including the bathtub. Before he left he took all of the garbage from the bathroom and left it beside the road as if he intended to take it away like he told me. Everything changed when Didier was paid and refused to come back and finish the job. On the last day, I also noticied that our toilet lid seat was scratched, when I confronted Coach Didier about the lid he became defensive and argumentative. On the last day Didier worked for us there were several items not finished however he sat at our kitchen table and demanded to be paid and that he was charging for the "extras." We felt uncomfortable about paying Didier before the job was finished but he reinsured us that he was coming back to finish the job. We explained that it needed to be done for our daughter's birthday party which was on Saturday just three days away. After Coach Didier left I talked to my wife and she agreed that the toilet seat lid was damaged by Coach Didier the damage consisted of several scratches on the lid. I then called Didier and he became defensive again taking a tone with me which I called to his attention. The next day I called Didier and asked if he was coming back to finish the job. I then proceded to ask him when he was coming to the house to finish the repairs he responded around 11:30, I asked why so late, he responded that he only had an 1.5 hours left of work to do. I told Didier that it was to late and he needed to start earlier I knew he had more work then just 1.5 hours left to do. He became defensive again,we then began to argue about the term "extras" and what was really considered to be an extra. At this point in time we only were paying Didier based on the receipts and the cost of labor. After about 10 minutes of agruing we both hung up. I contacted my wife and she urged me to contact him to come back to the house and finish the job. I contact Didier again and he said "if you ever want to hear from me again, you will listen to me." He then complained for an hour about the job and even cussed at me twice. He also told me that he didn't know why I wasn't replacing my toilet and that it looked like crap! He also told me my house was to hot! He continued to explain that he provided all these extras such as popcorn for our roof and nails for his nail gun that he did not charge us for, and I told him that I never saw a receipt for these "extras." He said that these extras were supplies he had laying around his house. All the while Didier gave me the impression for the hour that he was going to come back to finish the job. He never came back. There are also tiles that he cut for us that are not straight and look hideous, also the grout along the bathtub has cracked. Some of the grout on the opposing wall has bubbled up. I am embarrassed of the work that he has done and would like a return of $600 of my money. I have paid $20 dollars to have the garbage hauled away, another $180 to have the drywall fixed, and another $250 to do most of the repairs with the exception of the crooked tile and grout. I am going to pay another $150 to have this fixed. Dider has tried to quiet me when I told him that if he didn't finish the job I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau and he said him and his girlfriend which is a lawyer (according to Didier) would rebill me for all the "extras."

Mr. Johnson did a wonderful job. I had a previous contractor tear out a leaky shower only to replace it with a leakier shower. We opted to start fresh. Mr. Johnson tore out the shower with minimal mess, rebuilt a much nicer shower and improved the layout, and kept the dimensions so we could reuse the custom ordered glass we already had. We also needed work to repair a water damaged support beam in the crawl space under the house. It required the floor to be opened, but Mr. Johnson was able to make the repair quickly and have a new floor laid in no time. He repaired drywall as well as ceiling damage, and everything looks as good as new.

Perez and his helper did and excellent job. It took a little longer than expected but no cost to me. He communicated very well about situations that came up with family and a newborn baby at Christmas time. The work was first class and the cost was a little under the estimation.

he also took it upon himself to paint a ceiling that I specifically told him NOT to paint, and looked dumbfounded when I asked him why he did it and that I wasnt going to pay him for it..... His work became very sloppy....he didnt use enough nails when he put down the tiles in my kitchen resulting in them moving and I had to pay someone $850.00 to re-do it... he globbed on texured ceiling paint that cracked  and has to be re-done in my kitchen, my daughters bedroom and the ceiling I told him NOT to touch... got to the point that I asked him even if he wanted to be there because his worked was getting bad...he would just look at me....IT got so bad that when he "finished" and i use that term loosely, he went home  and i fired him through an e-mail the next day so i wouldnt have to look at him again.. Bottom line: sloppy work, always blames YOU for work he messes up (ex oh, YOUr kitchen this, YOUr ceiling that)..always has an excuse.....and I believe that he was sleeping in his van at times, i couldnt find him and when I went outside to look for him, he took a bit to surface and it looked like I woke him up, and that wasnt during his lunch break.........gets mad when you question what he is doing, says that his first price is what he stands by and doesnt want to be paid until he is done.. AND THAT IS A LIE, HE COMPLAINED TO ME ON SEVERAL OCASSIONS ASKING ME FOR MONEY BECAUSE HE HAD BILLS COMING IN...always talked about how he has to buy new tooldS cause this broke, that broke, and how he and his wife make very little on their pensions...he is about 60-61 years old he has broken several things in my house and never admitted to it, even damaged my porch ( something that I never hired him to do) when he replaced  a wooden floor board that was cracked, he said he didnt like it and he took the wood off, but in the process, he lifted the pillar on my porch and damaged the vinyl siding in the process and moaned about it when i yelled at him for touching something he had no business touching....neddless to say, he didnt fix it...........STAY CLEAR OF HIM, HE STARTS OUT OK, BUT EASILY GETS BORED AND DOES VERY SLOPPY SLOPPY WORK,,,,,HIS WIFE IS A VERY JEALOOUS WOMAN, THATS WHY SHE CAME OVER TO MY HOUSE BECAUSE I WAS ALONE WITH HIM WHILE HE WORKD...SHE HAD NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, BUT SHE SNUCK AROUND MY HOUSE, IN MY BEDROOM, AND MY BATHROOM, AND WOULD COMMENT ON HOW MUCH I HAD AND HOW MUCH THEY DONT HAVE .....STAY CLEAR FROM HIM........
