Recent Review: They were excellent. It was right on par with what they said it was going to be, they used quite a little time for buying supplies before they actually finished that part of the work, which was very impressive. Everybody was very polite and clean, they didn't use harsh language, and they were a very upstanding company. I would definitely recommend them to anybody. I went with them because of their reputation, I probably could have found somebody less expensive, but they had the best reputation, and I also knew about them from other sources.

Recent Review: Overall we very happy with our pool installation with Anthony and Sylvan Pools. Customer service is outstanding. We had no hidden price changes. Someone will always answer the phone or return calls right away. We had some small glitches that I was able to deal with. Subcontractors do not work for the pool company directly so they need to be supervised. Like I said the company reps always answer and are very receptive to customer complaints. Digging is one phase of pool construction that can result in extra costs. The excavator dug into a french flood drain that we thought was outside the dig. You have to negotiate the extra cost to fix unforeseen problems with your excavator. Our excavator could have demanded an obscene price as we would have been hostage. He fixed the problem at a very fair price. Also boulders too big to lift with the backhoe have to be broken up with a special jackhammer that is attached to the backhoe, and this can run several thousand dollars depending on boulder size and time . I was able to rent a jackhammer to break rocks myself and saved quite a bit of money. If you are doing a pool in the triangle area and use Anthony and Sylvan have them bring you for a visit, I'd be glad to show it off.

Recent Review: We are thrilled! We signed the contract on Saturday morning and the work begin the following Monday. Our contract stated they would finish by January 7th. The pool was completed on December 20th. Kevin Mock was our project manager. He did an outstanding job every step of the way and our new pool is gorgeous. Our home is on the ocean with the pool literally 25 yards from the sea. Winter conditions made this build difficult but Kevin and his crew labored on. After the pool was complete, Kevin came back daily to check on the maintenance. His service was beyond anything we expected. Rebuilding from a hurricane is not easy. Of all the sub contractors we hired, Crystal Clear Polls was far and away the best. I can't sing their praises enough!

AHeritage Pools LLC
We have been quite pleased with Heritage Pools throughout the planning, construction, and servicing phases of the process. When we decided to build a swimming pool we explored a variety of firms and Heritage stood out from the others. They were always quick to return our calls, provide estimates, and adjustments based upon our views. We found their pricing to be competitive with other firms and they performed to the contract. Work was done when promised and the site foreman keep us posted throughout the process. This was the first pool we have built, so we had many questions and the Heritage Team patiently answered our questions and offered other considerations that we would not have known to ask. I highly recommend the firm.

This is my 4th pool that I have had constructed, and the experience was the most pleasant I have encountered. This is my 1 st. liner pool, and I decided on the liner over concrete or fiberglas for several reasons. I was impressed with the strength of the pools construction, staining has been a problem in the past, and a new liner is not that expensive. Long term maintenance should be reduced. The price was competitive, and if you purchase a pool on price alone, than you are an idiot and don't need to read any further. Once you accept the weather constraints and issues, these guys were outstanding. The company is run by Michael Gesmond, and he is not above getting his hands dirty. The supervisor I had most contact with was Joe Burke, a pleasant, response, and hard working individual. Once begun, the entire project was completed in a more than acceptable time frame. All crews showed up when they said they would, and performed professionally. Little work is sub-let, which is a big advantage for project control. All in all, this was the least stressful and most pleasant construction contract I have experienced......and I'm 70 !

AAdvanced Pool Finishing
A two man crew arrived on 04/22/2014 (Thursday) from Advanced Pool Finishing (APF). They confirmed the project's logistics and the proper operation of all of my pool equipment, then began to drain the pool using a high capacity pump. The old water was pumped, at my request, directly into a nearby storm drainage ditch (behind my house) instead of into the street or onto the property. They had brought extra hose length to accommodate my request. The bottom drain cover and the (ground) plug was removed. The pump remained active throughout the project to remove the ground water seeping in through the removed ground plug. (If the ground plug is not removed and you have a high ground water table, the entire empty pool can float upwards and/or crack.) On 04/23/2014 (Friday), a three man crew arrived. They began to pressure spray the old surface to remove all loose particles. Two existing cracks were repaired and so was one area where a piece of steel rebar was too close to the surface, causing rust to leach out onto the old pool surface. They also ground out & around all fittings and water-line tiles so that the new surface coating (an aggregate material) would be flush with those pre-existing items. An adhesion coating was applied to all areas to be resurfaced and the stair tiles were replaced. On 04/26/2014 (Saturday) at 9 AM, the crew arrived and began the surface application process. Gary, the company's owner, was on site as the crew chief and also provided much of the hands-on labor. Whatta Guy! By 3;45 PM that day, they were finished replacing all fittings and with the resurfacing. I was then instructed to begin refilling the pool, which took 2 garden hoses exactly 24 hours. On 04/28/2014 (Monday), Allen from APF arrived to add 10 gallons of muriatic acid to the pool water to kick-start the chemical balancing process. For the next two weeks, the entire pool needs to be brushed and the water chemically balanced EVERY DAY. That is extremely important to the proper curing of the aggregate used to resurface the pool. Although I know how to properly treat & balance pool water, I opted to go with their outsourced service (Stephen Carnie of Pool Sharks - SUPER GUY! 843-200-0351 ). That way, if anything goes wrong, it's not at my hand and their warranty applies. I have never been more impressed with a crew's professionalism, work ethics and dedication to their profession. One guy has been with them for ~15 years. They all know their responsibilities and they all work very well together. I can't praise them highly enough. The crew cleaned up the job site extremely well after every visit and especially after their final visit. They even pressure washed the cement deck around the pool to wash away any construction residue. If you are reading this review, you need to be aware of a few things when taking on this type of project. They will need access to your property. Don't make it difficult for them. Schedule your project carefully. Do not cause them delays as that has a rippling effect on others will further impact your own project. Be considerate of scheduling conflicts and delays. Rain may delay a project that precedes yours and therefore delay your start date or work by a few days. This is inevitable in this type of business. They also may be called out for an urgent matter on another pool project that they just finished. Some homeowners aren't always properly responsible in the care of their pool and equipment. This may necessitate an urgent repair which delays your site visit. One homeowner's pool equipment wasn't properly working when the crew showed up to start work. Of course it delayed that project by having to first make repairs which then caused delays for another project. They told me several stories about things that can go wrong on projects that are not their fault. So be informed as to how that can delay your project. Ask questions and listen to them. In my personal opinion, they are a very conscientious team of professionals. (And, no! I am not related to them because I wrote a glowing review. I am retired after having been a methods-procedures analyst and systems analyst.)

Every time they would come to my house to work on the algae in the pool, they would always call ahead of time.  They would let me know exactly what they would do. They were always on time, even early most of the time. They were very helpful, kind, honest, and made sure I was  completely satifyied with their service.   I  "HIGHLY"  recommend Heritage Pools to anyone with any swimming pool probles.  They are Fantactic!

ASUNSHINE SWIMMING POOL SERVICE
I have been really happy that my neighbor recommended them. My old service provider was barley doing any cleaning at all. Sunshine worked very hard to clean my filter. It was so dirty that it looked like it had not been cleaned in a year from the old company. The price is $85 for the month, which is great.

AASP - America's Swimming Pool Co Charleston
I called ASP and asked them for a quote. They responded quickly and showed no pressure to have them do the work. I was impressed. Jaime explained to me what they would do and left it up to me to explore other companies. No pressure and I liked that. When it came time to do the work, the salt conversion, filter check and new sand in my filter was done before the re-plastering. Today the plaster people came and they an outstanding job. My pool looks brand new and we are completely satisfied. ASP says it will take a couple of weeks to get everything stabilized and if the service is as good as what was performed the last couple of days and I have no doubt it will, we will be extremely happy. I highly recommend these folks for your pool needs.

BLeaning Palm Pools
Went okay once I got them there. Took over a month for them to do the work once they agreed to do the job. To be fair, part of this delay was due to bad weather. On the expensive side but did good quality work once they got there. Very difficult to get in contact with using their cell phones. On no occassion did they ever answer their phone when called and about half the time they never called back after I left messages.

FCHARLESTON POOL & SPA
Our experience with CP&S was a complete disaster from beginning to end. While in the sales process they seemed knowledgeable and supportive, once hired and work began the trouble started. Within 1 week of our pool and decking being installed, the concrete decking began to crack .. not just small stress cracks but some of them are 1/4" in size. Nearest the jacuzzi the decking is 'sinking' not just cracking. It is as though the jacuzzi is moving toward the pond in our backyard. In addition, the pool equipment installed is not sufficient to keep our pool clean. The owner of the company told us (in an email) that we should be able to keep the pool clean and if we can't we should hire a pool service. So we did and since then we have had 2 pool service companies quit us because they can't keep the pool clean either!!!! Now we are faced with pulling out all of the decking, back filling around the pool, resetting the jacuzzi and replumbing all equipment. Please warn all intended customers to stay away from this company!!!!

FAtkinson Pools & Hot Spring Spas
Salesman brought wrong template, resheduled appointment for one week later, returned with wrong size template.Never brought color samples and never provided referrals.as asked.were given 1 site to see at unoccupied home.Platt was required for permit but he "couldn't find it" so we had to go downtown ourselves to obtain it.Were told survey was scheduled one Wed..no show. Survey done following Mon, crew said this was the only appointment they had been told about. Contract listed heat pump (not heat/cool) so we requested amended contract which we never received but rep called and stated we would get correct unit which was ordered. Pool shell arrived without skimmer insert and faceplate.Parts arrived 4 days later..."different skimmer than what we usually use". Skimmer installed and plumbed. Salesman had scheduled meeting at house with concrete deck contractor on a Thurs but called me OUT OF WORK to meet him the day before!! Reported to salesman that pool water rapidly dropping....he hooked up sump pump which ran for several days ...then 1/3 pool water was drained and skimmer removed. New part was not installed on day promised and there was no return call from salesman when we requested status update. Approx. 10 truckloads of dirt were needed to "grade the yard" but we were not given a price for this, but told "don't worry, dirt is dirt cheap right now". At present time the heat/cool unit shuts off because ,as we understand it, the pool pump does not supply enough pressure to pump water through the unit.A stronger pump and a larger sand filter will be needed for everything to function properly. The salesman (incidentally also called the Project Manager!) miscalculated the strength of water flow required. We are looking at additional costs to upgrade pump and filter or just remove the heat/cool unit entirely. We have been told that the owner of the company is retiring...he will not contact us as we have requested and we are now having to resort to filing complaints and sending him registered letters. The salesman(Project Manager) is his son and we have learned that THIS WAS HIS FIRST SALE AND PROJECT!!! Under NO circumstances would we recommend this company to any one who is thinking about installing a swimming pool. The customer service is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. We are not able to reach the salesman on any weekend except to leave voicemail messages which are not returned.I do not expect this company to remain in business much longer with these kinds of issues occuring...and rightly so!
