Recent Review: The service was okay. The install took a little time. I felt that what was advertised, and what I received wasn’t exactly what I ordered. I think I should’ve been given the choice if I wanted that product, or if I wanted something different. They workers were professional, and they worked as long as they could to finish the job. Recent Review: I was searching for a cheaper alternative to home security monitoring. My family and I are on a tight budget, and we could not afford the steep charges from Suddenlink and other local home security providers for their systems. The two things causing the services to be so expensive were: (a) the cost of the monthly phone service we would need, since we don't have home phone service, and (b) the cost of the monitoring itself. We would had to pay about $80 a month, or more with these traditional companies! Thankfully I found NextAlarm after some careful googling. They are a fraction of the price of any of their competitors. Their system appeals to me, because it uses the internet rather than a phone line, saving lots of money. Their monitoring itself (done in the traditional way, with real people in a dispatch office) is also substantially cheaper on top of that. I paid $250 for the home security kit and now I only pay $13.50 per month for the monitoring! Its so cheap that the costs are literally offset entirely by the savings to my homeowner's insurance premium. The support staff at NextAlarm are great. They are so patient, and they will help you with anything related to your system. I have called them numerous times with little questions about this or that, and they are always super nice and knowledgable. They even walk you through how to make changes to your security system, step-by-step, when you want to change delay or change the programs. Please make note of the fact that they do not have a local installer to do the installation. The third-party vendor who offers an and quot;Instal cardand quot; will not be able to install your service in East Texas (they will refund your money once they see where you need the installation). Point being, you will need to hire a local handyman to install the home security system for you. As I already mentioned, I used Stephan du Toit -- (www.facebook.com/professionalhandymanservices). He charged my $60. Besides that little hiccup, NextAlarm is amazing. In summary, I love my service. I hope more people in my area sign up with them. It is such a great deal and they're so great!
Recent Review: Everything went great. I got the system a few days later and started to install it. All the devices were easy to put up all told it took about 45 minutes to get up and running. During the install I set the alarm off and Getsafe called me right away. I like the way it looks in my home and by that I mean I hardly notice it is there. I like being able to control the system from my phone and being able to check on my house with the camera when I am away.
Recent Review: It started with the name Pinnacle. It started going downhill maybe when somebody else bought it. My husband picked them. He had a cold call and then he went with it. I think we had another system at that time.

I arranged to have Ace Alarm, a local home security firm, provide me with a price quote to install a system in my house. The representative stated he would be driving a white van that did not have any markings. At the agreed meeting time, I drove from my office to my home. As I approached, I noted a white, unmarked van on the street in front of my house. From a short distance, it looked as if the van was stopped in front of my mailbox. As I came closer, I could see that my mailbox door was down and it appeared the driver had several items of mail in his hands. I pulled directly behind the van and stopped. From my vantage point, I observed the driver reach out of his window and place mail items in the mailbox, close the mailbox door and pull into my driveway. I pulled in behind the van, got out of my vehicle and proceeded to the van. A passenger exited the vehicle and the driver began exiting when I approached. I asked the driver to explain why he was going through my mail. He told me he was just checking the name on the mail to make sure he was at the right house. Needless to say, I asked him to leave and told him that if I couldn't trust him to not go through my personal mail, I certainly couldn't trust him to put a Home Security System in my home. I am writing this review to help someone who may be contemplating using this company. There is no reasonable explanation for a company to go through someone's mail under the pretense of making sure they have the right address. What else would you have to worry about while they are working in your home? In the days since the incident, I continued to reflect and attempt to understand it but I kept coming back to the notion that this was a "security" company - an industry that bases its reputation on being able to keep the "bad elements" out and make your home safe. I just didn't realize the "bad element" was from within. I get upset just thinking - what if I had been a few seconds later and not observed the guy going through my mail? I may have even hired the company to put a system in my house. Wow, am I glad I didn't fall victim. I have never written a review nor have I ever filed a formal complaint but I believe this incident warranted my response. I hope postal inspectors are paying attention. The last time I checked, this behavior constituted a federal offense of Tampering with the Mail.

I have had monitored security systems for over 10 years in my resisdence. With technology changes comes changes in security systems. My system was 4 years old and did not have some of the newer technology...i.e. remote monitoring/access and smaller sensors. With no salesman in the local area, I actually coordinated the install over the phone with someone in Utah. Was a little concerned about working this thru a phone call without being able to touch the product but they were very knowledgable and I had researched their product online prior. My scheduled install was only 4 days after my original call. Even though Vivint doesn't have salesmen in the area, they do have technicians for installs and service located all over the state. The technician showed on time and brought with him some of the additional items that I was interested in but didn't sign up for over the phone. After seing the remote door lock and camera, I added them to the package. The technician also recommended that I have an additional smoke/heat sensor since I have a 2 story and I agreed to that add as well. This is my 4th system upgrade with 4 different companies and this is the 1st time that I have had to pay anything out of pocket for equipment. Typically, most if not all equipment is free as it's slowly paid for in the monthly monitoring fee. I will have to admit though, I have more equipment in the current install than in any of the previous so the modest cost was worth the additional equipment, upgrades and capability. Even the door and window sensors make a big difference since they are over 1/2 the size of the sensors from my last install. I am able to remotely monitor, arm, disarm, view, lock and unlock. Really nice features and an increased piece of mind. No more wondering if we forgot to set the alarm or lock the doors....we can check it wherever our smart phone has service. The technician was kind, friendly, knowlegable, prompt, clean, etc! Great experience so far...hope the system holds up and only time will tell.
